Chapter 1194: Chapter 611 Trouble Comes, Let’s Hurry Up!

Seeing so much gold and gemstones, everyone, including Cheryl Suweton and Elijah Hastings, was extremely excited.

Only the captain’s eyes were unfocused and seemed lost in thought after his initial shock, unsure of what he was thinking.

"Stop looking and start sorting out the items into boxes. We’ve had a good haul this time, everyone gets a bonus!"

"Thank you, boss!" Douglas Cooper shouted, taking the lead.

"Let’s keep track for our own people first." Sean Knight watched as the team members packed up, then he said to Elijah Hastings, "Here’s 20,000 dollars; you take 10,000 to the ship owner and divide the rest among the other sailors. To prevent them from getting envious."

Elijah Hastings nodded and took the money to find the ship owner.

Sure enough, the ship owner and a few sailors were discussing something in the ship’s cabin. Although they couldn’t understand the local language, it was clear they weren’t saying anything nice.

The ship owner knew a bit of English, and Elijah Hastings took out a stack of cash and told him,

"This is from our boss. He says we all prosper together."

The ship owner saw the thick stack of US Dollars and immediately smiled. Although the 10,000 dollars paled in comparison to the gold goods, they had already paid the boat rental fee. Even without this money, it could have been justified.

But receiving it still balanced the scales for him a bit.

The other sailors looked enviously at the captain.

Elijah Hastings knew there were five more sailors on board, so he divided the remaining US Dollars evenly among them, each sailor receiving a share.

Though they couldn’t understand the language, the gesture was clear enough. The sailors accepted the cash with surprise and thanked him profusely.

To Sean Knight and Elijah Hastings, these US Dollars weren’t worth much, but for these sailors, it was equivalent to several months of wages!

A substantial income!

After Elijah Hastings left, the captain’s smile disappeared as he held the money.

If these foreigners could salvage, then he could too! The depth was only several tens of meters underwater. Hiring a few divers wouldn’t cost much.

If he managed to salvage anything, he could live comfortably for the rest of his life!

Even if he found just one item, it would be enough!

Thinking of the large-size gold objects, the boss was already pondering how to get these foreigners to leave this place as soon as possible.

"Before nightfall, let’s go down once more," Sean Knight said once the team members had finished packing. "We might not have a chance tomorrow. Let’s try to cover all the nearby areas today!"

"Why wouldn’t we have a chance tomorrow?" Cheryl Suweton asked, puzzled. "Our campground people have left, and the giant shark has run away, so we can take our time salvaging. This giant stone city wall is so long, and the original ruin site is definitely huge; it’s impossible to finish salvaging in half a day!"

Sean Knight gave a wry smile:

"Originally, I had the same idea as you. But think about it, now that there’s a ruin site here that’s never been discovered before. Although the research team you were a part of has left and gained the fame they wanted,

they won’t care. They can’t keep a secret. They might even exaggerate the situation here for fame or profit. Then what about those seekers of novelty, the interested parties, and those with ulterior motives? What will they do? Right, and the media... with such news, don’t you think they will swarm like flies drawn to..."

"Yuck! That metaphor is disgusting—" Cheryl Suweton frowned, "Though it’s vivid... You’re right. Maybe by tomorrow, this place will be very lively..."

"And that ship captain," Sean Knight pointed towards the ship cabin, "Though I’ve given him a red envelope, do you think he’ll be satisfied? Might he think about how much more he could get if he were to salvage himself? And if he gets jealous, might he report us directly to the relevant authorities? After all, our salvage operation isn’t exactly legal..."

At those words, Cheryl Suweton fell silent.

Indeed.

None of this had been anticipated before—of course, they hadn’t expected such a huge harvest either.

"So, boss, let’s not rest tonight," Douglas Cooper suddenly suggested from the side. "Since it’s only one day, why not just pull an all-nighter. We’ll salvage as much as we can, and I reckon these guys probably won’t be able to get much of the rest... that shark has been healing for a day, it might be coming back soon..."

Seeing his wicked smile, Sean Knight actually thought it was a good idea.

But he still asked:

"Can the other team members handle it?"

After all, underwater salvage was not like working on land; it consumed a tremendous amount of energy and physical strength, and ordinary people couldn’t handle an all-nighter.

"Don’t worry about that, boss," Lincoln Harrington said with a smile on the side. "The team members we’ve brought this time are all top-notch. They can definitely handle an all-nighter!"

"Alright then, double the bonuses! We’re going all night today! Yang Yongqiang, make sure the food is good, the rest will take turns diving, and oh, make sure the radar is monitored, so we get an early warning when the big one approaches."

Elijah Hastings and a few others immediately arranged the team members properly, including the two team members who were tasked with monitoring the radar and keeping an eye on the captain.

If the captain stays in line, that’s fine. If they step out of line, they would learn how to "stay in line."

As for Yang Yongqiang, he stayed in the kitchen and didn’t leave. After all, it was too easy to tamper with anything coming through the entrance.

With everything on the ship in order, Sean Knight and the rest dived back into the water again. This time, Cheryl Suweton insisted on joining them, so Elijah Hastings and Douglas Cooper stayed aboard the ship.

Following the same pattern as the previous dive, the divers were not far from each other, with Sean Knight and Cheryl Suweton staying in the middle, closest to each other.
