Chapter 1151: Chapter 596 Don’t Say I’m Heartless and Ungrateful_3
"No problem." Sean Knight and Aiwa high-fived.
Then Sean Knight left the Divine Temple, and when he came back, he was carrying a big handbag with five submachine guns, a box of bullets, and a box of hand grenades in it.
"I’ll teach your people how to use these tomorrow," Sean Knight said to Aiwa.
"Okay... So, is it our turn now?" Aiwa said, laughing as she pulled Sean Knight to her side.
What happened next would be censored, so let’s not talk about it.
After one night had passed, Sean Knight got up and made breakfast for Aiwa, then went behind the Ancient City to search for the gold and jade ritual implements Aiwa had mentioned were collected there.
Aiwa had originally planned to learn the new weapons with the warriors today, but for some unspeakable reason, she had to delay for one day. She called the leader of the warriors and assigned the mission.
In the afternoon, at an open area 500 meters from the tribe, Sean Knight demonstrated how to use the submachine guns to the female warriors.
Up close and personal, these warriors were very enthusiastic. However, Sean Knight was a strict teacher, insisting that the muzzle should never be carelessly pointed at someone, leading him to slap several warriors across the face.
Sean Knight didn’t hold back, and the faces of the warriors he slapped swelled up like pig heads, but the lesson was deeply ingrained, and all the female warriors remembered it.
Firearms were much easier to master than bows and arrows, so under Sean Knight’s strict semi-professional training, the warriors had mastered the use of the submachine guns in less than an hour, and they quickly became more accurate than Sean Knight in a static shooting situation!
Moreover, they quickly learned how to use short burst fire, long burst fire, and the single-fire technique with the submachine guns, exceeding Sean Knight’s expectations.
There wasn’t much to say about hand grenades—the simple act of pulling the pin and throwing lacked any technical content, so after 10 minutes of practice, the warriors stopped caring about them—they felt that guns better suited their warrior identity.
The second day, Aiwa, who could barely get up, learned how to shoot under Sean Knight’s personal instruction in just one morning. After that, she stopped learning and pulled Sean Knight into the Divine Temple to study more about the human body.
On the third day, Aiwa personally led the warriors to the central Tribe for revenge. As she was leaving, she waved goodbye to Sean Knight reluctantly.
Sean Knight waved back, thinking to himself that this woman was indeed stubborn—however, considering she was a priest, it seemed normal. In her own surroundings, she could surely act like a little woman, but in the entire tribe, she was the most powerful woman!
Alright then, I wish her a victorious battle!
Aiwa was fully armed, dressed the same as the other warriors, except for an additional submachine gun on her and four hand grenades hanging in front.
Compared to the other warriors, she was fonder of the hand grenades, these huge, loud, powerful fellows.
Once she entered the jungle and was out of sight, Aiwa thought to herself that she would take down that Tribe as quickly as possible and then return.
She figured that by then, Sean Knight would be worrying about how to transport the Sacred Tree, right?
When Aiwa came back, however, she did not see any branches of the Sacred Tree with Sean Knight.
Therefore, it was only natural for Aiwa to think that although Sean Knight had killed the old priest and injured many in that tribe, he had not taken the Sacred Tree with him.
With the larger section of the Sacred Tree Stump, Aiwa was no longer too concerned about the Sacred Tree in her own tribe.
Moreover, she didn’t believe Sean Knight could have taken the items away.
Watching Aiwa leave, Sean Knight knew his time to depart was approaching.
He went into the Divine Temple and stored the section of the Sacred Tree in his spatial realm—hoping that Aiwa didn’t have the same abilities as the old priest.
After waiting a full half hour and seeing no sign of Aiwa returning, Sean Knight knew he was safe to go.
He left the Divine Temple, under the gaze of the tribal residents, headed to a stone house in the corner of the Ancient City, and collected all the gold and jade products inside into his spatial realm. Then he went back to the Divine Temple, left enough food, and departed.
Sean Knight remembered the road by which he had come. He traversed the obstacles again and returned to the Cannibal Village-occupied Ruin Site.
The Cannibals were already gone. Their bodies had been burned.
Sean Knight guessed that must’ve been Robert’s doing.
Upon arriving at the Pyramid, Sean Knight noticed there were no ants anymore—just then, he heard a long-lost voice:
"Boss?"
Elijah Hastings, ah!
Sean Knight smiled.
Looking at Elijah’s unshaven face, it was evident he had not been without scare these past few days.
"Boss, you’ve finally come back. If you hadn’t, I would have had to call for rescue!" Elijah said, somewhat agitated. "I knew you were fine, just didn’t know how to find you..."
"Ha-ha," Sean Knight laughed and said, "I followed a half-man, half-monkey creature into the jungle, and then I encountered two tribes, so I stayed a few more days. Alright, let’s go, we’re heading back."
When Sean Knight and Elijah returned to the original campsite, they found the tents were gone.
Leng Ru Bing and the others had already returned.
This jungle expedition had been very rewarding, the greatest prize being the seven sections of the Tree of Life—Sean Knight had once tried to join them together, but nothing extraordinary seemed to happen.
Maybe, after so many years, the pieces of the Tree of Life, now severed, had each become their own entity.
Back at the courtyard, Sean Knight saw Douglas Cooper, Lincoln Harrington, and Leng Ru Bing approaching to greet him.
"Boss, that was quite the expedition you had; you had us worried sick," Douglas said. "If it weren’t for Captain Hastings following you, we would’ve organized a search party to find you in the jungle."
"I didn’t keep up either..." Elijah said with a touch of shame. "I lost him..."
"Boss, that makes things tough for us..." Lincoln interjected, "We’re bodyguards, after all, and yet..."
"Alright, alright, I’m back now, aren’t I?" Sean Knight said, laughing.
"By the way, a guy named Robert called several times," Lincoln said. "He said there’s something important and that you should contact him as soon as possible!"
Sean Knight was puzzled. Robert, with something important?
What could it be?
