Chapter 1131: Chapter 590: Never be lenient with such a person!
The white person had his neck slashed; he let out a half-strangled cry before losing all strength.
Immediately, an indigenous person came over with a ceramic bowl, eagerly catching his blood, not wasting a single drop.
After collecting the blood, the tribesman who killed the man took the bowl to the fire, anointed the injured with the blood while drawing strange patterns on their chests, and even dabbed it on their wounds.
Once every one of the injured had been marked, they fed the remaining blood to them, and the little left over was gulped down by him.
"Ew..." Elijah Hastings made a disgusted noise from the side.
To him, killing was nothing new, but this manner of killing was truly barbaric.
Then Sean Knight saw that the white man drained of blood and killed was carried away by a few tribesmen; they started dismembering him by the nearby firestack. Were they planning to roast him alive?
Damn it!
All of a sudden, the tribesman who drained the blood let out a shocked cry, then furiously started screaming and shouting!
Sean Knight looked closely and saw that several of the injured indigenous people had already died!
Hah, if they weren’t shot dead, they were tormented to death!
With the tribesman’s shouting, around twenty or so burst out, gathering together with bows and arrows, wooden spears, and blow arrows in hand, following him out!
Their destination was clearly in the same direction as the one from whence Sean and his group had come.
"Are they coming for vengeance against us?" Elijah Hastings asked.
"Definitely," Sean Knight said, laughing, "This is just perfect. Let’s see what the rest of these people are made of... Keeping ourselves safe is the top priority!"
"Okay! I’ll head out first!" Elijah Hastings called out, and after the tribal warriors had departed, he slipped down the tree.
With just the two of them, they didn’t need to split up; this way, they could watch each other’s backs.
Before Sean Knight even had a chance to climb down, he saw an eleven or twelve-year-old boy being ’led’ out by an indigenous elder, then tied to a tree stump. By the looks of it, he was also to be killed!
They didn’t even spare the child!
Even from that distance, Sean Knight could see the terror in the boy’s eyes. Looking at Elijah Hastings, who had already set out, he knew he couldn’t wait any longer and took out a sniper rifle from his spatial realm—a pistol was no use at this range, no matter what!
The indigenous elder clutched the boy’s hair with one hand and swooped down with a stone knife toward the boy’s neck, just as if slaughtering an animal!
"Boom!" The silenced sniper rifle let out a crisp sound as the high-speed bullet drilled into the back of the indigenous elder’s head, blowing off the top of his skull with red and white substances erupting out, splattering the young boy’s face!
The indigenous elder collapsed with a thud, and nearby indigenous women began screaming in panic!
Sean Knight stowed the sniper rifle and jumped down from the tree, charging towards them!
By now, there was no time to worry about alarming the tribe warriors that had run out!
Elijah Hastings had already reached the entrance of the building, witnessing the frantic scattering of the indigenous inhabitants. His pistol went off in rapid succession, "Boom, boom, boom, boom," downing several tribesmen who rushed over trying to take him down, while he continued to search for more targets.
By this time, Sean Knight had caught up as well, but to his surprise and distress, the boy was dead—some tribesman had pierced his chest with a wooden spear, and the boy had died with his eyes wide open.
Angered by the boy’s death, he couldn’t believe that these tribesmen didn’t recognize that the man and the boy were their own kind!
Even some beasts despise intra-species violence, yet these people continued to commit it!
Well then, they could not blame him for showing no courtesy!
Sean Knight, armed with double guns, fiercely opened fire on the charging tribesmen, treating elders and women the same in his eyes—they were all murderers!
And there was no need to be polite with murderers!
The tribesmen weren’t foolish; seeing they were outmatched, they scrambled out of the gathering place and fled into the jungle.
"This place has been destroyed like this..." Looking at the once grand and beautiful building now turned into a garbage dump, Elijah Hastings felt pained.
"Let’s check their straw huts, there might be something special to find," Sean Knight suggested.
His Sky Eye had already seen that there indeed were special items to be found in the straw huts!
The only regret was that among the captives, there was only one adult and one child—Sean Knight guessed they were a family.
In one straw hut, Sean Knight found a backpack, its contents emptied and now messily filled with herbal medicine and fruits.
Sean Knight picked up the backpack and rummaged inside the hut, finding several damaged pieces of goldware and two broken jade tablets, along with a small jade figurine still stained with blood—animal or human, he couldn’t tell.
Sean Knight moved to another straw hut, finding it contained more items.
In a basket woven from rattan, a messy array of goldware and jade ware lay scattered; Sean Knight gathered these items into his backpack.
Arriving at the entrance of a third straw hut, Sean Knight saw an old indigenous person watching him with a hateful gaze—the elder was immobile, lying on a straw mat inside.
Sean Knight ignored him, stepping into the hut. He uncovered more than a dozen goldware pieces crumpled into lumps among a pile of animal bones, human bones, and wooden utensils at the entrance, with broken jade pieces lying underneath, obviously damaged by them.
