Chapter 1066: Chapter 568: Coming to Dig for Treasures So Arrogantly?_2
"We’ll talk about it later."
At daybreak, Elijah and his team gradually woke up, and then they started to wash up and prepare breakfast.
After a simple breakfast, the itinerary that was intended to start was delayed by Sean Knight.
He made a phone call to Abdullah.
Abdullah was having breakfast and was somewhat surprised to receive a call from Sean.
Taking the phone, Abdullah proactively asked,
"Mr. Knight, how are you? Have you found the Treasure?"
"I believe I’ve found an Ancient City Ruin Site, which likely is the place you mentioned," Sean said, looking in the direction of the ruins.
"That’s great, you can start mining now—I think this is the time for you to play to your strengths!"
"No problem," Sean replied, "it’s just that this Ancient City Ruins are located deep in the Desert, and there are many nests of Poisonous Scorpions nearby. If we excavate here, we are highly likely to damage the Ruin Site..."
Abdullah stopped eating, thought for a moment, and then said,
"Try your best to preserve those ruins. After all, they are a reflection of Ancient Cultures, even though not of Muslim culture—
You’ve said it too, if our country wants sustainable development, tourism is a good path. That Ruin Site is deep in the Desert, but as long as it’s well developed, it will definitely attract many curiosity-seekers."
Sean understood the underlying message and responded,
"I’ll do my best to preserve it."
"Do your best" was all.
After the phone call, Elijah asked,
"Boss, do we go now?"
"No, we don’t go just yet. Even if we went, facing those creatures, we would still have to come back," Sean stated, "We are not the same as before. There is no need to go solo, we are an Organization now!"
"What do you mean?" asked Douglas and Lincoln in unison, though they roughly guessed what Sean was thinking already.
"Now, make a phone call to the Oil Field, report our Location coordinates, and tell them to bring 100 people over, drones, Insecticide, Flame throwers, and don’t forget the engineer equipment!
If it’s just us mining there, who knows how long it will take. We are not short of people, so why make it hard on ourselves?"
"Exactly, Boss! Now that you mention it, our mindset is clear! Just think about the Golden Coins in that box, one Box alone is enough for everyone’s allowance!"
Douglas still had the Silver Coin Box in the Ancient City Ruins on his mind.
After all, it was something already within reach, yet had to be abandoned.
"Then, Boss, do we just wait here, or go over there and wait?" Elijah asked.
"Let’s go to the mound where we camped yesterday. After all, it’s closer and easier to pinpoint," Sean suggested after contemplating.
Lincoln drove the Car back with several people.
Although there was no sandstorm at night, Sean and his team were surprised to find, on their way back, that the tracks left by the Car had disappeared!
Did the sand here have some kind of memory function, capable of erasing its own surface traces?
As they neared the mound, the Car slowed down.
Sean activated the Sky Eye and did not spot any dangers.
It seemed that the Poisonous Insects and Snakes had completely retreated.
However, Sean and his team did not let their guard down and took turns keeping watch on the mound.
"Boss, someone’s heading that way!" In the afternoon, while lying on the mound and observing, Lincoln suddenly reported to Sean in the tent below, "Looks like Treasure Hunters, seven people!"
Sean and his team immediately went up the mound to observe and indeed noticed a group of people entering the Ancient City Ruins from the other side.
"These guys are quite lucky," Sean observed the tiny figures in the distance resembling ants, "They didn’t encounter any dangers."
After all, going from that direction involved Quicksand and Poisonous Scorpions, which could be fatal if one wasn’t careful.
And yet, everything was apparently fine on their end!
Once that group entered the City Ruins, they scoped the area out and then headed straight for the Pyramid.
"Looks like these fellows are going to be unlucky," Sean said, "Those Poisonous Insects likely came out of the Pyramid."
"Wonder where these people come from," Elijah pondered.
Lincoln, holding a Telescope, replied,
"Among the seven people, there are three white people, two black people, and two people of the Yellow Race. This is indeed an international team—no familiar faces."
Lincoln, putting down the Telescope, turned to ask Sean,
"Boss, should we warn them?"
"No," Sean thought for a moment and said, "Treasure Hunters eat from this bowl, they have to bear the risks involved. Let’s see how lucky they are; maybe they’ll get through."
Sean indeed had no intention of rescuing them. After all, everyone was a competitor, and here, you win everything—from clubs to models. If you lose, turning into bone residue or becoming something’s Food was also normal.
Not only them but they themselves were in the same boat.
"Should we stop them then?" Douglas didn’t want the Golden Coins to be taken by these people and asked, "If they really are that lucky..."
"No need," Sean looked up at the sky and said, "Even if they are lucky and don’t disturb the Poisonous Insects, the weather probably won’t let them off easy."
That’s because in the distance to the North, Cloud formations had risen, indicating a sandstorm slowly approaching.
The Team observed from the mound.
The seven people inside the City Ruins set down their backpacks and started to set up tents. Suddenly, two of them yelled out in surprise as they discovered the big cave in the Pyramid.
