Chapter 1021: 553
The official did not go home but drove to a Dining Hall. After dinner, Sean Knight and his team, who had expected him to return home, discovered that he had gone to an Entertainment venue.
"This guy really knows how to enjoy himself!" Lincoln Harrington expressed his surprise, "I didn’t expect such a conservative place to have these kinds of venues."
"Where there’s demand, there are solutions," Sean Knight laughed, recalling the time on Big Island when he had sold a gemstone to a princess from a small country in the Middle East.
Her name was Aria Wilson, wasn’t it? But which country was she from? Had it not been mentioned, or had he just forgotten?
Shaking his head to clear these unnecessary thoughts, Sean Knight looked outside the window at this country, where gender inequality was stark.
Men could openly indulge in their pleasures outside, playing with lions, tigers, and eagles, while women were mostly confined to a few places—either shopping or undergoing beauty treatments.
However, this was many men’s Paradise—after all, they were reputed to be able to marry four wives.
"Boss, what do we do? Wait for him to come out or shall we go inside?"
"First, let’s see if we can get in. If we can, then pulling some strings is also fine," Sean Knight was quite determined to secure the Oil Field as quickly as possible.
He actually detested this sort of thing, but to get what he wanted, he had to do things that he was not keen on doing.
The two approached the Entrance to what clearly resembled a club only to be stopped by someone.
"Can’t enter without being a member?" Lincoln Harrington was taken aback and turned to look at Sean Knight.
"Can we get a membership now?" Sean Knight inquired.
The Waiter politely explained:
"You can become a member, but the rule here for becoming a member is that you need an old member as a referral and guarantor..."
The Waiter was polite, and showed no disdain, but Sean Knight and his team couldn’t get in.
Back Inside the car, Sean Knight suddenly said to Lincoln Harrington:
"Let’s go, let’s get some food. It doesn’t seem like he will come out any time soon."
The two went to have food, then returned to continue waiting at the club’s Entrance.
They ended up waiting until midnight, and Sean Knight noticed that hardly anyone had come out from inside!
Do those guests plan to spend the night in there?
With no other choice, the two had to return to the Hotel.
The second day, they went to that office building again.
Then they saw that the office was empty.
Is it so casual about office hours here?
Lincoln Harrington inquired at a neighboring office and was told that the person had gone out.
The two waited another day, and it was only on the Morning of the third day that they saw the clerk coming to work.
When he saw Sean Knight and Lincoln Harrington, a flash of embarrassment crossed his face before he formally said:
"I have Already reported your matter to my Superior. You’ll be notified. There’s no need to come here if it’s not necessary."
Without any other options, Sean Knight and Lincoln Harrington had to leave.
"He definitely didn’t report our application," Lincoln Harrington fumed Inside the car. "Boss, should we give him a lesson when he gets off work?"
"The king of hell is easy to see, but the little devil is tough to deal with," Sean Knight pondered before saying, "It’s not necessary for now, let’s wait another two days. During these two days, we can find out who’s in charge of this matter and see if we can take an upper-level Route."
Since the formal channels were not working and they were dissatisfied with this man, they decided to see if there was another way.
The two then set off separately to find out who was in charge of the matter.
They found out that the matter was overseen by the Crown Prince of the emirate, whose name was Abdullah.
However, meeting Abdullah was not easy since he usually resided in the King’s Palace and rarely met with people.
There was a director below him, but he too could not confirm the matter without reporting to the Crown Prince—this clerk was beneath him.
The director was named Ibrahim Edwards, quite a common name.
But he was also hard to find.
Because he did not keep regular office hours—although he was the director of that building, he seldom worked there in person.
As for where to find him, that was unclear.
Even after Sean Knight spent money, he couldn’t get the information—if it weren’t for his exceptional memory, he wouldn’t even remember what this man looked like.
After all, in his eyes, those Big-bearded men really didn’t look much different from one another.
Once again, they were stuck in a loop.
"Can’t just leave it like this, keep looking, spend money to hire someone," Sean Knight contemplated. "If we can’t find him, the locals definitely can. Spend money!"
Then, he spent money and to his surprise managed to locate Ibrahim Edwards.
Sean Knight was getting a taste of just how comfortable these officials in a small Oil-rich country lived.
Ibrahim Edwards had three Villas in the Capital City alone. And moreover, in a place where water was more expensive than Oil, being able to transform one’s Villa into a garden-like property was indeed lavish.
Sean Knight and Lincoln Harrington rang the doorbell, only to be met by a maid who couldn’t communicate with them.
With no other option, Sean Knight used his Mobile Phone translator on site to make the maid understand they were there to visit the master of the house.
However, the maid stated that the master was not in.
Sean Knight had very reliable information that the man was indeed inside.
Could it be that he doesn’t meet strangers?
Unable to barge in forcefully, they no choice but to wait outside.
"Boss, it’s been a long time since you’ve put up with something like this, huh?" Lincoln Harrington teased in the car.
"That’s nothing to me," Sean Knight said with a smile. "But you, you’ve been talking a lot more lately than you used to."
