Rewriting My Fate in the Apocalypse
Chapter 155: Traitors Among Humans

Chapter 155: Chapter 155: Traitors Among Humans

Anyone seeing this scene for the first time would be creeped out. What the heck was happening? Funny enough, Leng Pan could understand what they were saying, thus, she wondered what language had been used in that meeting tent.

"You don’t have to argue, I can determine the truth easily." Leng Pan said to the two identical women.

The voice surprised Leng Pan because it was the same voice as the current one. The situation was getting her more confused. But at this moment, if she still hadn’t figured out that she was the same person as commander Leng and she had somehow been reborn, then she would be a fool.

What she had to figure out was whether the world she was in was really a book or was her reality somewhat twisted?

The Leng Pan in the memory took out a small clear ball out of thin air and suddenly, the energy in her body changed as it flowed into the crystal. However, as soon as the crystal started to emit some light, the Anika who had complained first started to get restless and suddenly tried to grab the other one.

But commander Leng seemed to have anticipated this as an energy that Leng Pan recognized as the spiritual energy of her superpower was suddenly unleashed. It immediately froze the first Anika in place.

The previously beautiful woman looked a little distorted inside the ice block and also had some bumps on her skin.

"Thank you so much Commander Leng, if you hadn’t been passing by and heard the noise, I guess I would disappear quietly without anyone knowing." Anika breathed a sigh of relief and thanked Commander Leng from the bottom of her heart.

"It’s nothing. It’s my duty to protect humans. We were the ones who didn’t take precautions and let a traitor among us smuggle some aliens into the city. But don’t worry, with the newly developed power ball, we can identify them and will eliminate them all. Our city will be safe soon, just stay indoors and don’t go out unnecessarily." Commander Leng advised before saying goodbye and leaving.

Before Leng Pan could remember anything else, two strong arms hugged her tightly and a sexy voice that was filled with worry and anxiety kept calling her name.

She recognized the voice as Lu Zhen’s and forced herself to extricate herself from the memory and opened her eyes.

"Baby, are you okay? Do you feel pain anywhere? Are you uncomfortable?" Lu Zhen asked several questions in a row causing Leng Pan to be a little overwhelmed.

But thinking of how she had felt as if her head was exploding, and also the memories she had remembered, she didn’t feel like pretending to be okay.

She simply leaned on her husband’s chest and closed her eyes to recharge her energy. She had actually noticed that she and her husband seem to have an energy in them that allowed them to recharge each other.

Holding each other close was effective, but the most effective way was engaging in intimate activities, such as sex. However, since they couldn’t have sex at that moment, she settled for the hug.

"I am fine. Just experienced something unexpected." Leng Pan didn’t even know how to explain what she had remembered to her husband but she knew that she had to tell him.

That information seemed to be connected to the apocalypse and it might be useful in combating zombies and ensuring their future survival. Thus, she had to talk to her husband about it.

When Lu Zhen heard his wife say that she had experienced something unexpected, he understood her feelings. He thought back to his own experience when he touched the meteorite and had to agree that it was indeed unexpected.

The last time his experience was lesser than Leng Pan but today, they surprisingly experienced the same thing. Even though they hadn’t yet shared their experience, they were indeed shaken.

But Lu Zhen experienced a bigger shock because unlike Leng Pan who only picked up a few words at random during the meeting in that tent and could only base her judgment on those few words and the body language of everyone there, he was different.

For some unknown reason, Lu Zhen could actually understand what they were saying during the meeting. In fact, he understood so much that he knew for a fact that he was the same person sitting beside Leng Pan in that meeting room.

He understood enough to know that the revered commander Leng in that meeting room was the same woman he was holding in his arms at that moment, just a different body shell.

He understood enough to know that the apocalypse was not some natural disaster and the two weren’t together by coincidence. The only thing he was grateful for in all those memories he had remembered was the fact that even though they were reborn, they still found each other and fell in love again.

However, what disturbed him was the content of the memories, especially the content of the discussion in that meeting room. Unfortunately, those were the only clear memories he had, together with the battlefield memories. But they were not detailed enough to help him figure out the whole scenario.

When Lu Zhen felt that the woman in his arms had calmed down, he slowly let go. He looked at her and decided to tell her what he had experienced and remembered. Since they were husband and wife, they were partners and shouldn’t keep secrets from each other.

Leng Pan listened attentively to her husband and found that he had also remembered the scene at the meeting but knew nothing about her encounter with Anika. She could confirm that what they saw when they touched the meteorite were memories of their last lives and not just some show. They were events they had experienced before.

What made Leng Pan shocked was the explanation Lu Zhen provided for the content of that meeting.
