Chapter 779: Chapter 780 Only One Tent Left

"Who are you?" the guide approached Song Xiaodong and Sun Yiyi.

Sun Yiyi immediately showed a very panicked expression, grabbing Song Xiaodong’s arms, her veil already covering her face.

Song Xiaodong also looked petrified and deliberately spoke Burmese with a struggle, "We’re just here for an expedition."

The guide looked at Song Xiaodong and Sun Yiyi doubtfully and asked, "Are you Burmese people?"

"No! We are Chinese."

One of the Japanese people was translating their conversation into Japanese.

"Then let’s ignore them; we rest our own," said one directly, probably the leader of the group. He was about forty years old, not very tall, but he seemed quite formidable.

The other Japanese people all acknowledged with a yes, then went straight to setting up their tents with practiced movements, evidently seasoned in outdoor living.

"Damn it!" A Japanese person suddenly cursed when the tent he was setting up broke.

Throwing away the tools in his hand, the man approached Song Xiaodong and Sun Yiyi.

"Give us your tent!" The man surprisingly spoke Chinese, though quite awkwardly.

"We only have two tents; how can we give them to you?" Song Xiaodong said with a face full of difficulty.

"Will you give it or not? If not, I’ll just kill you both." The guy casually picked up two stones from the ground, clapped them together, and they immediately shattered into pieces.

Sun Yiyi screamed in fright and hurriedly said, "Let’s give, let’s give you one, please just don’t hurt me."

"You’re wise. Huh, why are you wearing a veil?" The man’s gaze fixed on Sun Yiyi.

Sun Yiyi shrank back a bit and said, "I... have a scar on my face."

"Let me have a look then." The man reached out to grasp Sun Yiyi’s face.

"Come back! Don’t cause trouble," the leader shouted coldly.

Only then did the man withdraw his hand, directly picked up one of the tents, and dumped its contents all over the ground.

Song Xiaodong frowned; this guy was really rude. He really wanted to teach him a lesson, but Sun Yiyi tugged at his arm.

Of course, Song Xiaodong didn’t want to stir up trouble either. The strength of these men was unknown to him; he could only feel that they were experts. With so many of them, if even one was close to his level, the two of them could be in danger.

Besides, Song Xiaodong sensed that their reason for being here was problematic; this was the border between China and Myanmar, and there was absolutely no way they were here for no reason with so many people.

The two went to pick up their belongings from the ground. Song Xiaodong even pretended to be very flustered, dropping things several times, then as he quickly walked towards the tent, he almost stumbled, causing the others to burst into laughter.

Sun Yiyi quietly chuckled and said, "You’re quite the actor."

"I’m not clear about their abilities; we have to hide ourselves. If a conflict really happens, it wouldn’t be a big problem for me to run away, but if you get caught by them, given their nature and considering your looks, I’m afraid..."

Sun Yiyi kicked Song Xiaodong and said, "Hey, that’s really mean of you. You were thinking of leaving me behind?"

"I mean, if we were pretending," Song Xiaodong chuckled lightly and then stuffed the stuff into the tent.

Watching the tent, Sun Yiyi said, "Now I will carry less stuff tomorrow, but... how are we going to sleep tonight?"

Song Xiaodong had just thought of this problem and couldn’t help but give a bitter smile, saying, "For me, it’s definitely a huge challenge."

"Hey, you’re not thinking of sleeping in the same tent with me, are you?" Sun Yiyi glared at Song Xiaodong, but her eyes and brows were filled with charm, as if she were seducing him.

Song Xiaodong got lost in thought for a moment; that’s just how captivating Sun Yiyi was. Even if only her eyes were visible, that look would be overwhelming, so he avoided her gaze and said, "Do you think it’s possible for us not to sleep in the same tent?"

In a soft voice, Sun Yiyi said, "That’s true, too. If we don’t sleep in the same tent, those little devils might sneak into mine."

Song Xiaodong shrugged his shoulders and said, "Moreover, there are snakes and bugs everywhere outside, and certainly a lot of animals will come here for water at night, and if I fall asleep, you won’t see me the next day."

"Giggle, what kind of animal could eat you up? Even a tiger or a lion couldn’t finish you off."

"That’s hard to say. If I’m caught off guard, I might not be able to stand a chance against these animals at all. Their entire nature is hunting, and that ability is absolutely not comparable to humans."

"Alright, alright, to prevent you from being eaten by a beast, let’s just sleep together tonight."

The tents the two had brought were the kind made for a single person, which was convenient for carrying. Now that the two of them were going to sleep in one tent, it was naturally quite cramped. Sitting up, they could manage by using the length of the tent, but to lie down, they could only do so on their sides, pressed up against each other.

"It really is small in here," Song Xiaodong commented, grinning.

Sun Yiyi lifted her foot and lightly kicked Song Xiaodong, saying, "You haven’t even washed, and you’re all smelly. How do you expect me to sleep?"

After walking in the forest all day, now that the shoes were off, Song Xiaodong’s feet indeed didn’t smell too good.

Song Xiaodong chuckled awkwardly and said, "Then I’ll go wash. It’s certainly presumptuous to come across so unrefined."

Sun Yiyi hurriedly said, "I’ll wash too; it seems my smell isn’t too great either."

The two crawled out of the tent and went directly to the stream, but they stayed away from the Japanese people. They washed up a bit, and Song Xiaodong said, "A bath is out of the question. Let’s just make do for now."

Sun Yiyi said helplessly, "It seems that’s the only choice."

Returning to the tent once again, they crawled in and lay back-to-back, fitted into their clothes.

Even though Song Xiaodong was pressed against the tent, his back still touched Sun Yiyi’s.

That gave Song Xiaodong a surge of unusual excitement, and the sultry scene at the Sun family’s the other day popped into his mind, making his breathing a little more rapid.

"Hey, your thoughts aren’t pure," Sun Yiyi’s voice immediately rang out.

Song Xiaodong gave a wry smile and said, "Yeah, to be in the same tent with such a temptress like you, it’s really hard not to think about anything. Now I really think the Sun family did a good job; you truly are the reincarnation of a vixen spirit. Your power to harm men is just too great."

Using a voice filled with grievance, Sun Yiyi said, "Anyway, your Kung Fu is stronger than mine. If you wanted to do something to me, I wouldn’t have the ability to resist."

"Oh boy," Song Xiaodong internally exclaimed; those words were clearly encouraging him to do something.
