Chapter 587 - 584: Let Her Go
Chapter 587: Chapter 584: Let Her Go
Si Ye had the wedding scene set up on the deck of the yacht.
Today, the sky was clear, and there were no clouds in sight.
A long red carpet was laid out, covered with soft rose petals.
The arch was woven with fresh roses of various colors, and there were pink ribbons on both sides of the guest seats, along with many heart-shaped balloons.
Luxurious, beautiful, and romantic.
Si Ye brought a marriage certificate from Las Vegas, and as long as Ming Yao signed it, they would become husband and wife officially.
Ming Yao was led onto the red carpet, but there was no joy on her face.
As soon as she came out, she saw Old Madam Ming in the guest seats and, without caring about anything else, she quickly called out, "Grandma, are you okay?"
Old Madam Ming’s mouth was sealed with tape, unable to speak, and her eyes, looking at Ming Yao, were filled with moisture.
Ming Yao’s heart instantly tightened.
Apart from Old Madam Ming, Ming Yao also saw Gu Siting on the deck, looking as if he had been knocked unconscious.
One of his hands was handcuffed to the railing, his head drooping, seemingly not yet awake.
"Siting!"
When Si Ye saw Ming Yao calling for Gu Siting, he slightly hooked the corner of his lips, "Why, do you want him to wake up and watch our wedding ceremony?"
Ming Yao walked up to Si Ye, her eyes full of intense hatred, "Si Ye, why do you have to go this far? I don’t think I am worth all this effort from you!"
Si Ye clearly didn’t want to hear this, and with a lift of his hand, his subordinate immediately brought a bucket of cold water and splashed Gu Siting awake.
Gu Siting slowly opened his eyes.
Even though he was soaked through, it still couldn’t hide his cold and noble aura.
He saw Ming Yao wearing a wedding dress and Si Ye preparing to marry her, and his pitch-black pupils suddenly shrank.
"Yaoyao, don’t marry him!"
Gu Siting’s wrists were handcuffed, and he couldn’t move; he squinted his profound eyes, "Si Ye, in fact, the person you really want to deal with is me, isn’t it?"
"Marrying Ming Yao is to make me feel heartbroken, right? You know very well that Ming Yao is the woman I love most in my life, she is my weakness, and as long as you control her, it’s as if you’re holding my lifeline!"
Hearing Gu Siting’s words, even Ming Yao was somewhat surprised.
Was Si Ye’s real target actually Gu Siting?
Was there any grudge between him and Gu Siting?
Si Ye looked at the man with stern and cold features, who, even under such circumstances, remained calm and composed, and his lips couldn’t help but curl, "As expected of Mr. President, really clever."
Gu Siting pursed his thin, reddish lips tighter, "If that’s the case, you can just deal directly with me. Now, let Ming Yao, Grandma Ming, and Little Orange go, and I will stay behind for you to dispose of as you wish!"
Ming Yao’s pupils contracted violently, and her emotions churned violently at the bottom of her heart, "Gu Siting, I won’t let you stay behind alone!"
Ming Yao looked towards Si Ye, "As long as you agree to let the others go, I will do whatever you say."
Si Ye clicked his tongue, "The spirit you two have, each willing to sacrifice yourselves for the sake of others, is indeed touching."
"However, why should I listen to you?"
Si Ye’s slender fingers gently caressed Ming Yao’s cheek, "Come, let’s continue with the wedding!"
The pastor started to pray and then asked Ming Yao, "Miss, do you take this man to be your husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health?"
Upon hearing the pastor’s question, Gu Siting felt an uncontrollable pain in his heart.
In the marriage he had with Ming Yao once before, he had never given her a wedding.
That was his regret for life.
Gu Siting’s narrow black eyes welled with spots of crimson, his whole being enveloped in a terrifying gloom.
"Yaoyao, don’t agree to him!"
Si Ye raised his eyebrows slightly, and took out the remote control again.
Ming Yao turned deathly pale.
Seeing Ming Yao’s expression, Gu Siting seemed to realize something, and he quickly said, "Si Ye, if it’s to make me suffer, you’ve achieved your goal, I’m willing to trade myself for the safety of those three!"
"Let them go, and I will stay behind for you to deal with!"
Tears blurred Ming Yao’s vision, "Siting, I’ll stay behind, you take Grandma Ming and Little Orange and leave..."
Gu Siting’s gaze sharpened fiercely, "Ming Yao, now is not the time for sentimentality, as I said, the person Si Ye wants to deal with is me, what use is there for you to stay?"
Without giving Ming Yao a chance to speak, Gu Siting’s dark eyes looked towards Si Ye, who seemed to be pondering, "You’ve been by Ming Yao’s side for four years, accompanying and caring for her, and you’re very fond of Little Orange, or else Little Orange wouldn’t have come with you so unguarded."
"Based on your past relationship, give them a chance for life, your ultimate target is me, all your resentment, just direct it at me!"
Si Ye, looking at the sharp and wise Gu Siting, had to admit that it was somewhat interesting to play against a smart person.
He squinted his eyes, glanced at Ming Yao beside him, who was already in tears.
"Little Yao, I’ll let you all go, I said this is the last chance, if you don’t leave, you might never be able to leave."
Ming Yao’s throat felt unbearably dry.
Gu Siting heard Si Ye agreeing to let Ming Yao go, and he breathed a slight sigh of relief, "Ming Yao, don’t be impulsive now, I know what you’re thinking, I will take care of myself, you take Little Orange and Grandma Ming and leave first!"
Ming Yao looked at the man with an indisputable expression in his eyes, her lips trembled, "...Okay."
Si Ye lifted his hand, and immediately someone came, "Get them on the speedboat."
Ming Yao helped Old Madam Ming and followed the man in black off the deck.
She looked back every few steps and saw Gu Siting at the railing, her heart aching unbearably.
"You must come back safe!"
A doting smile curled on Gu Siting’s thin lips, "Don’t worry!"
Ming Yao closed her eyes, and hot tears streamed down uncontrollably.
If possible, she would rather face life and death with him on the yacht together.
But she knew that by doing so, she would only put Little Orange and Grandma in grave danger.
Ming Yao supported Old Madam Ming onto the speedboat, and soon, a man in black came over with Little Orange.
Seeing Ming Yao, Little Orange blinked her glossy, large eyes, "Mommy, Uncle Si Ye said he was taking me out to sea for fun, and said you would come to pick me up, you really came, didn’t you!"
Ming Yao answered in a hoarse voice.
Little Orange quickly noticed something was off with her mommy and grandma.
"Mommy, what’s wrong?" Mommy’s eyes were red and swollen as if she had been crying.
Ming Yao did not answer Little Orange.
The speedboat had started moving, and Ming Yao watched the yacht getting further away, her heart stuck in her throat. She couldn’t hear anything Little Orange was saying.
Just as the yacht was almost out of sight, suddenly, a tremendous explosion resounded through the sky.
In the direction of the yacht, a mushroom cloud rose.
