Reincarnation Paradise
Chapter 954: The Tip of the Iceberg

"Blanck, why are you participating in the Void Arena?" Su Xiao began trying to chat with the Zerg, Blanck.

"Blanck is bored," the Zerg replied, raising its blade-like arms and slicing through the air with such speed that afterimages appeared.

"Blanck, are the Shadow of Extinction and the Zerg friends?" Su Xiao continued probing.

"The Shadow of Extinction and the Zerg are not friends; they are neutral. The Shadow is neutral, the most terrifying absolute neutrality," Blanck's words made Su Xiao raise an eyebrow. He had initially classified the Shadow of Extinction as lawful chaotic, a term he had coined himself. However, it seemed he was mistaken.

The Shadow of Extinction is neutral, not favoring any side. Whoever violates the taboo will face the Shadow of Extinction's wrath, temporarily turning them into neutral evil or chaotic evil. From a certain perspective, absolute neutrality can be even more frightening.

"I suppose I have quite a few enemies this time?" Su Xiao asked.

"Blanck doesn't know, but the Sage Sorceress Sephilia will be watching the arena. She is an enemy of the Shadow," Blanck revealed an important piece of information.

"Are there any others of my kind?" Su Xiao was testing a crucial point: whether there were any other members of the Shadow of Extinction in the Void.

"Impossible. The era of the Shadow of Extinction has passed. The only known Shadow is just one person, and he might not even be considered a Shadow anymore," Blanck seemed intrigued. Blanck had never seen a Shadow of Extinction in its lifetime; they mostly existed in legendary tales.

Now, with a legend appearing before him, it was no wonder Blanck had been trembling earlier.

"Aren't you surprised to see me in person?" Su Xiao asked.

"Blanck is not surprised. The number of Shadows only decreases; they never go extinct. This is a rule of the Void. The Shadow oversees the balance of rules and elements. Within the elements, the Shadow is supreme. The Void will not allow the complete disappearance of the Shadow," Blanck, being a native of the Void, was well-informed about the Void's affairs.

Su Xiao didn't have much time left. In just a few minutes, he would need to head to the arena's registration office to get his badge.

"Blanck is lucky to see the Shadow first," Blanck's words made Su Xiao pause. This "first" carried a dangerous implication.

"You seem to know I would appear here?" Su Xiao asked.

"Twenty moments ago, the arena distributed flyers," Blanck retrieved a biological pouch, its version of a backpack, from which it pulled out a flyer. Su Xiao's expression soured upon seeing it.

The flyer boldly announced: "After over a thousand years, the Shadow of Extinction reappears. Will the Void once again face the terror of the Shadow? Everything will unfold in the 15,487th Void Arena."

The eye-catching headline, written in red, was accompanied by a photo of Su Xiao, cigarette in mouth, standing by a pit filled with corpses. Bubu had also made it into the shot, holding a shovel, the same one used to dig the pit.

"Woof!" Bubu barked excitedly, seemingly proud of their appearance in what could be considered the Void's newspaper.

But moments later, Bubu deflated, realizing the somewhat comical pose it struck with the shovel.

Seeing the photo, Su Xiao immediately connected the dots. This was taken during the fourth game while he was "fishing" for prey, likely taken secretly.

"Alice..." Su Xiao muttered, certain that Alice was behind this.

As Su Xiao pondered his next move, a prompt from Reincarnation Paradise appeared.

[Rest period is over. The Hunter must proceed to the registration office to receive the arena badge.]

Su Xiao stood up and headed out of the room, with Blanck following closely. Having such a knowledgeable and non-hostile entity around could only be beneficial.

Exiting the resting room, Su Xiao found himself in a wide corridor. The architecture of the Void Arena resembled the ancient Roman Colosseum—massive, stone-built, rough yet grand.

The Void Arena was expansive, with the center being a circular combat area covered in yellow sand, surrounded by colossal circular-tiered spectator stands. Although the official matches hadn't started yet, the stands were already packed. On the sandy arena, several female warriors from the "La La Ta" star were engaged in an exhibition match. Their actions seemed designed to titillate, with occasional wardrobe malfunctions adding to the spectacle against the backdrop of bloodstained sand.

The arena was divided into four main sections:

Combat Area: The central sandy area and spectator stands.Contestant Rest Area: The smallest section of the arena.Registration Office: Where participants register, schedule their matches, and receive their badges.Logistics and Supply Area: Completely sealed off by Alice, off-limits to participants.

Su Xiao headed towards the registration office. Walking through the corridor, sunlight streamed in through the windows. From his vantage point on the arena's edge, he could see numerous bizarre shops outside. The styles ranged from magical to technological to mechanical.

In front of these shops was a cobblestone path filled with a variety of beings—some in full armor, others in kinetic suits—hailing from different planets.

Each planet had its level of technological advancement. Some were not suitable for high tech and thus had developed other means of advancement, such as magic, biology, or unique abilities. Each planet had its distinct power system.

Furthermore, each planet was governed by various factions that strictly prohibited cultural invasion. For instance, on a magic-rich but technologically backward planet, merchants from the Void could only sell a limited number of mechs for collection purposes, not for combat or labor. The same applied to planets where biology prevailed, where technological products were banned as they could hinder biological evolution.

Each planet's unique style maintained the diversity and grandeur of the Void. This uniqueness was the reason for the Void's prosperity and vastness.

Observing the diverse beings and peculiar shops, Su Xiao felt a surge of excitement. This was just a tiny glimpse of the Void, these shops existed to cater to the arena's audience.

Blanck stood nearby.

"Shadow, do you come from another dimension?" Blanck asked, seemingly having noticed something.

"Perhaps," Su Xiao replied ambiguously, unable to disclose the existence of Reincarnation Paradise.

Experiencing the wonders of the Void, Su Xiao felt a growing desire to explore. But he knew it wasn't the right time. He wasn't strong enough yet. Entering the Void prematurely would be unwise.

Perhaps Reincarnation Paradise had intentionally given Su Xiao a glimpse of the Void's wonders to entice him. He knew he would eventually venture into the Void, but not until he was sufficiently powerful.

Moreover, obtaining the Proof of the Strong not only required surpassing the 80-point attribute barrier but also served as a qualification for entering the Void. The extraordinary method of obtaining it underscored its significance.
