REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO -
Chapter 134: C-CLASS HUNTER
Chapter 134: C-CLASS HUNTER
Medona’s chest rose and fell unevenly. She clenched her jaw as she stood back up.
Her eyes were locked on Logan.
She wasn’t just an examiner anymore. That last hit from a Tier 1 kid wasn’t something she could laugh off. Her earlier care free posture while fighting against a kid was totally gone now.
Those who thought Logan was only a loud mouth, leaned forward in their seats this time.
Even Damian’s smirk has vanished totally.
In the arena...
With a flick of Medona’s hand, the dust around her shifted. Cracks formed beneath her feet like spider webs.
"Fine, you are strong. I will give you that." she muttered. "Let’s see what else you’ve got."
This time, she wasn’t going to hold back.
Her body glowed faintly as earth mana surged beneath her. A layer of stone coated her arms like armor, and a faint breeze began swirling around her. She was now using both her elements—earth and air.
Logan watched calmly. "So she has earth affinity as well."
He didn’t move right away.
"I am glad you are taking me seriously this time." His voice was steady.
Medona launched herself instead of replying.
She dashed forward, faster than before, and swung her arm covered in stone like a club. Logan ducked under it just in time and slid to the side.
Boom!
Her punch cracked the arena floor.
Logan jumped backward and formed a quick wall of ice between them.
Medona shattered it instantly.
But Logan was already gone.
He reappeared behind her and threw a small fireball.
She spun and deflected it with a gust of wind.
Their eyes met.
Then, they both moved at the same time.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Fire met wind. Ice met stone.
A fierce back-and-forth exploded across the arena. Medona’s attacks were precise, strong, and timed perfectly. She wasn’t just powerful, she was skilled. She was totally different from other Tier 3 mages Logan had faced till now. That’s what continuous life and death situation does to a person.
But Logan was faster.
And every time she thought she had him cornered, he slipped through a gap, dodged with impossible timing, or countered with clean precision.
Up in the gallery, gasps and murmurs echoed.
"Damn... this kid’s insane!"
"Is that really a Tier 1? He’s keeping up with her!"
Damian’s mouth was slightly open. "How...? How is he so fast?"
Leonard growled beside him. "It’s not just speed. His timing is perfect. Almost like he’s predicting her moves."
Standing in the arena, Ali watched the duel with full focus. The fight stirred something inside him. "Is my waiting finally going to end?" He whispered.
Another clash. Logan ducked under a sweeping wind slash and struck Medona’s shoulder with an ice spike. It cracked her shoulder armor.
She stepped back and gritted her teeth.
Then raised both hands.
From the ground, a dozen sharp pillars of stone shot up toward Logan.
He leaped between them with perfect footwork, spinning and flipping in midair.
But this time, Medona was waiting.
As he landed, she appeared behind him with her full strength, earth-covered arm slamming down with full force.
Boom!
Dust exploded.
"Got him!" someone shouted.
"No... wait."
As the dust cleared, everyone could see what actually happened. Medona’s fist had struck a thick wall of ice.
Logan stood a few meters away.
Medona’s eyes narrowed. She was breathing harder now.
"I have never heard of you before. Where are from?" she asked.
Logan had gained her recognition. Not just her. Everyone present in the arena as well. Some with goodwill, but some with hatred and jealousy as well.
"Just from around." Logan replied.
Then he dashed in.
His fists moved in a blur, flames dancing between his knuckles.
Medona raised her both arms in a cross to defend it. But right then, Logan threw her left fist instead. His first punch was only a faint. The punch landed squarely on her lats.
She winced. But she wasn’t done.
Earth magic surged from her feet again. She stomped and spikes of stone erupted outward.
Logan jumped to dodge, but a gust of air slammed into him mid-air, sending him crashing down.
He hit the ground hard.
Medona raised both hands.
"Stay down, kid!"
She threw a boulder-sized mass of stone at him.
But right before it landed—Logan’s body rolled fast as he dodged the attack.
Then he stood slowly. There was a cut on his cheek. Though he dodged the attack, a splinter still gazed him. His breathing was slightly heavier now. But his eyes were filled with excitement and satisfaction. He had been enjoying the match actually. Medona really didn’t give him a easy time.
He whispered slowly then,"My turn."
His palm lit up. A spiral of fire formed, concentrated tightly like a drill. At the same time, his other hand conjured a cold mist.
Dual casting. The temperature dropped and rose all at once.
He ran forward.
Medona raised a wall of earth.
He leaped over it.
She tried to blast him with wind.
He cut through it.
And then—
Boom!
His fire-ice spiral struck her armored chest. The flames scorched through the outer layer, while the ice instantly cooled it—causing the stone to crack and split.
The impact sent Medona flying again.
She skidded across the arena.
Everyone watched with their held breath. No knew that a test match would be this much thrilling.
Dust floated in the air. Medona tried to rise. But this time, her arms trembled. Her breathing was ragged. She slumped back down.
Elizabeth slowly stood up. Her mouth opened, but no words came.
The gallery remained still.
Logan walked over and offered a hand.
Medona looked up at the boy... and smiled faintly.
"You’re a monster in a kid’s skin," she said.
"I get that a lot." Logan also smiled politely but it wasn’t visible. But Medona could tell from his tone.
She took the hand and stood up.
Elizabeth finally spoke. "T-Test complete. Aiden Ferith—designated C-class Hunter."
But unlike before, there was no irritation in her voice this time.
Instead.....astonishment. Respect. Curiosity.
Logan bowed lightly, then turned to leave the arena.
He walked in silence toward the gallery.
But just then.....
"Stop."
It was a deep voice.
Logan paused and turned around to see who it was.
It was the guild master, Ali Arkman.
