Chapter 201: Chapter201-Advanced Permissions

Upon seeing the system prompt, Daniel blinked in surprise.

"Advanced permissions?"

"What does that even mean?"

Without hesitation, Daniel activated Eye of Insight, and instantly, the vague notion behind those words became crystal clear.

[With your elevated permissions, you may now directly influence the assignment of Void Tower missions.]

"Huh?"

His eyes narrowed slightly, a flicker of intrigue flashing through his gaze.

In the next moment, his figure vanished from the battlefield and appeared directly within the Void Tower.

A new interface materialized before him:

[Void Tower]

[Current Mission Mode: Random Assignment]

[Available Talent Advancements: Below S-Rank]

[Selectable Mission Types: Resource Gathering, Monster Subjugation, Labyrinth Mapping, Exploration...]

Seeing this, Daniel quickly understood the true meaning of his newfound authority.

He could now manually determine the types of missions issued to all awakeners—a massive shift in control and strategy.

After a brief look through the configuration menu, he already had a firm grasp on the mechanism.

With a few simple adjustments, Daniel reconfigured the entire mission queue—

Now, every mission was centered around one objective: slay Abyss creatures.

Shortly after the new mission settings took effect, awakeners currently on assignment suddenly saw a prompt flash before their eyes:

[A more suitable advancement mission has been detected. Would you like to replace your current mission?]

The prompt froze many of them in place.

"What? Advancement missions can be... replaced?"

Curiosity piqued, many opened their task menus—and what they saw shocked them:

Their new mission was to hunt Abyss monsters.

Which, coincidentally, was exactly what they were doing at this very moment.

"Wait, does this mean... if we switch missions, we can simultaneously protect human territory and complete our advancement goals!?"

Realization dawned, and their eyes lit up with fiery determination.

Without a second thought, awakeners across the front lines clicked "Accept."

What was once a fragmented effort—with only some awakeners having Abyss-focused missions—became a unified assault.

Now, everybody had the same goal: kill as many Abyss monsters as possible.

And that’s when something truly absurd happened.

Awakeners began praying to New Life.

"Allied Guardian, could you maybe... slow down a little with the attacks? There aren’t enough monsters for us to kill anymore!"

"Seriously! We’re all banking on these kills to rank up our talents. Could you just take a short break?!"

As the master of New Life, Daniel, of course, saw the pleas flooding in.

And upon reading them, the corner of his mouth twitched involuntarily.

"A few minutes ago, you were all standing back watching. Now everyone’s all fired up?"

"Tch. Greedy bastards..."

Still, he understood their motivations—profit was always the best motivator.

Under his control, the three New Life units gradually slowed the pace of their bombardments.

This gave more Abyss monsters a chance to reach the surface, and as they did, they were immediately met with an overwhelming counterattack from the human awakeners.

"Charge! It’s our turn to rise to the top!!"

"Die, you Abyss bastards! Taste my blade!"

...

Across the global comms network, recruitment posts and party requests exploded in number.

After all, not everyone was an all-rounder like Daniel.

To maximize kill efficiency, coordination and teamwork were vital.

And nothing was more efficient than forming a squad.

"Healer wanted—join us and we’ll carry you through the mission!"

"Need a tank! We can’t hold the front line! Four girls are already crying from the pressure T﹏T!"

"Four girls?!! I’m Mejir, SSS-tier warrior! I’m on my way!"

...

Meanwhile, countless awakeners were still en route to the northern frontier of human territory.

To them, simply arriving at the Abyss gateway guaranteed they could complete their missions.

It was just a matter of how long it would take.

And for most, the promise of a 100% completion rate was simply too tempting to resist.

As more awakeners gathered, the Abyss creatures were pushed back further and further.

Some awakeners even began charging into the Abyss itself, breaking through the waves and taking the battle to the enemy’s home turf.

The battlefield was now completely transformed.

...

Elsewhere, Daniel himself was still engaged in combat with multiple Seeds of Chaos.

But this time, he opted for a wide-area assault strategy.

Several of his clones attacked in unison, flanking the targets from multiple angles.

At just the right moment—[Phantom Slash].

Whenever a Seed of Chaos tried to retaliate, Daniel’s clones vanished in a blink, evading the counterattack flawlessly.

With no target to strike, the monstrous bosses could only thrash about in rage, completely unable to land a single hit on him.

Comets of energy rained down from the sky, one after another.

Daniel appeared in yet another blind spot and unleashed another Phantom Slash, carving through massive chunks of their HP.

And this wasn’t happening to just one boss.

Daniel was now strong enough to fight multiple Seeds of Chaos simultaneously.

The only reason they weren’t instantly vaporized was due to their extremely thick HP pools.

But from Daniel’s perspective, it was only a matter of time.

...

Far across the map, deep in Orc territory, Daniel launched another offensive—this time targeting another cluster of Seeds of Chaos.

To him, they were little more than punching bags now, unable to retaliate or defend themselves effectively.

Their HP bars plummeted.

This one-sided slaughter lasted nearly 20 minutes, and by the end of it, Daniel had already taken out two-thirds of the bosses.

As for the remaining third? He didn’t bother.

He had no intention of doing everything alone.

After all, the awakeners from the myriad races were more than capable of finishing the job.

Letting them gain experience and reap some of the loot was hardly a problem.

The Seeds of Chaos were only threatening because of their domain abilities.

But with their domains neutralized, they were essentially downgraded to World-Rank bosses.

Perfect training targets for mid-tier assault teams.

And the rewards for killing them were, frankly, absurdly generous.

...

Back on the surface, Daniel took out his communicator.

He composed a single message and sent it to all his closest allies:

"I will be holding a gathering to discuss matters related to this Millennial Apocalypse."

"Please bring those you trust the most. The location is: City of the Artists."

The moment the message went out, the various rulers of the races—and even the most devout followers of the gods—fell into deep thought.

The implications of Daniel’s strength had just become impossible to ignore.

They had witnessed his capabilities firsthand.

They had heard whispers of the Void Tower’s miraculous effects.

And now... the entire world seemed to be shifting, like a massive wheel turning around a single axis.

That axis was Daniel.

And the world?

It was changing in his wake.
