Chapter 1872: Chapter 1866 Want to Take a Look

Jin Yufeng punched the desk after Ah Qi left, "Dongfang Li, how dare you say such things? Did you ever ask if I agreed or not?"

Jin Yufeng never expected that the normally timid and gentle woman would dare to run away from home, let alone make such a decision. Had he underestimated her all along, or was she merely pretending in front of him?

Zuo Yaqin, hiding outside the door, almost couldn’t stop herself from rushing in when she heard the noise in the study. She knew that Ah Qi was up to no good, and indeed, he hadn’t told her the truth. So what if they found her? She still refused to come back, which was just as well; it saved her the trouble of taking action herself.

But how could she make Jin Yufeng give up on that woman? Others might not see it, but she could. Jin Yufeng was clearly infatuated with that woman without realizing it. Otherwise, why would he care whether she stayed or left, even going so far as to send people to find her?

Now it was perfect, that woman was ungrateful enough to refuse to return, making it unbearable for the high and mighty Jin Yufeng. Look, Jin Yufeng was having a tantrum—good, the bigger, the better, so Dongfang Li’s outcome would be even worse.

The more miserable Dongfang Li was, the happier Zuo Yaqin would be. Although she no longer wanted that man, she still let her have him for three years, which was a bargain for her. Even if she didn’t want that man, Dongfang Li shouldn’t think she could have him.

Zuo Yaqin listened to the noises inside and then quietly returned to her own room.

Indeed, she had her own room here; she didn’t share a room with Jin Yufeng.

Although it infuriated her, the fact that Dongfang Li also had her own room did as well.

This meant that the three of them each had their own rooms and didn’t live together, a result that finally made Zuo Yaqin feel much more at ease.

Jin Yufeng irritably walked to the window, looking outside. He looked down at the lush green grass in the garden, but the smiling face that always watched children play was gone, as were the words of caution like "be careful, don’t fall."

His hand in the pocket of his suit touched the box that he hadn’t given away. He took it out, opened it, and looked at the quietly lying item. Inside, a delicate ring was nestled at the center of the box, his first intended gift for her, but she was no longer there.

With a snap, Jin Yufeng closed the box, opened the window, and raised his hand to throw it out, but suddenly stopped, pulled back his hand, and put the box back in his pocket. Then he turned and went back to the room he rarely entered.

Jin Yufeng looked at the warm decor, something he had never really noticed before, because his thoughts were never here. So he had never stopped here.

But today, he was particularly restless. He just wanted to take a good look as if that woman was still here smiling at him.

Jin Yufeng sat on the bed, feeling the sheets beneath him, recalling how he only used this bed for physical needs. Once that was done, he would leave and never stayed overnight. What was he thinking then? Even now, he didn’t know what he truly wanted. f.r e\ewebnov(e)(l).c om

He stood up, opened the closet, and saw her clothes neatly hung inside. Many of the clothes he had never seen her wear. He thought she didn’t have clothes, but she had so many. Why didn’t she wear them?

Jin Yufeng looked at her dressing table, which held only a bottle of face oil and a comb, nothing else. Why were there so few items? It seemed so empty. Shouldn’t a woman’s dressing table have many things?
