Chapter 1714: Chapter 1708: Wanting Manpower

Yu Ze knew that if he wanted to handle his father, he’d still need his mother’s help. But this time, he was clearly in the wrong, so his mother wouldn’t side with him. Yu Ze was very aware of this. His parents loved them deeply, but it was not indulgent love. Their love had principles and they would never let them grow too spoiled.

"It’s good you still remember your last name. Otherwise, I’d make sure you’d go keep them company." Chu Molin shot his son a sidelong glance. Did he think Molin didn’t know what he was getting at? He’d only held back his temper because nothing serious had happened to his son. Otherwise, he would’ve shown his son what being truly angry meant.

"Stand straight. The person you mentioned, you’ll see them in a bit. But first, let’s deal with this issue." Chu Molin figured the ’Big Head’ his son referred to was probably that man he’d just seen joking and laughing with Yu Ze earlier.

But his son was so young—did he truly understand what was right and what was wrong? In this regard, Chu Molin wasn’t so sure. He only knew his son was very intelligent, but how he fared in other aspects was still a mystery to him.

So now, hearing his son talk this way, Molin felt a bit surprised. He could tell that man had no intention of harming Yu Ze.

For his son’s sake, he figured he’d have a talk with this so-called ’Big Head’ later. After all, this was the first time his son had ever asked him for something. Naturally, he had to make it happen for him.

"Got it." Yu Ze obediently stood up straight. Now wasn’t the time to provoke the tiger, so behaving well was the smarter move.

"Mom, when did you and Dad get back?" Yu Ze, seeing his father head off to confront the tall man, turned to his mother to ask.

"We got back yesterday, but we hadn’t even made it home yet. As soon as we heard you were missing, we’ve been searching for you nonstop. You nearly scared your grandmother to death. And look at you, having such an ’unhappy’ time here." Qin Xue scolded her son with a tinge of reproach. Did this kid have any idea how much worry he’d caused his family?

"Mom, when Qin Su’e tried to catch me, I just wanted to see what she was up to, what she planned to do to you. You know how vile she is. If we don’t figure it all out and take her down in one shot, she’ll just keep stirring trouble, and it’s really annoying." Yu Ze had heard plenty of nasty gossip about his mom in the village, and it had made him quite angry.

He’d also found out all of it originated from Qin Su’e. So he decided to play along and see what kind of scheme she was cooking up.

Who could’ve thought she’d actually collude with others to cause harm? But perhaps even she hadn’t anticipated things would end up this way, right?

Yu Ze, truth be told, was a petty person. If someone made life hard for him, he’d make sure they didn’t have it easy either.

But now that his mom and the others were here, it’d be best to assess the situation carefully. If they decided not to act, then he’d figure out a way to deal with that woman himself.

If Qin Xue knew what Yu Ze was thinking, she wouldn’t know how to feel. Her son was still so young, yet he already knew how to stand up for her. That part was great. But wanting someone dead—that was something Qin Xue didn’t want her son dabbling in so early. It couldn’t be good for his emotional or mental growth.

He was just a child, yet these thoughts already brewed in his mind. Did that mean something was wrong with him psychologically? However, Qin Xue was unaware that her elder son’s soul belonged to an adult. If she knew, she might have thought differently.

But many things in life aren’t so easily achieved just by thinking about them. After all, Yu Ze was still a child. If he wanted to see those things through, it wouldn’t be easy. He had to figure out a way to gather allies. Only by doing so could he have people to command when he needed to get things done. Otherwise, with just his tiny frame, wouldn’t one slap from someone be enough to knock him flat?
