Chapter 1684: Chapter 1678: Meeting a Good Master

Just like that, Qin Su’e settled down at Mr. Qin’s house, and she was living quite comfortably. She had never been this relaxed since she was born. She didn’t have to do anything; when she was hungry, she’d find something to eat. To prevent her mother and the others from finding out, Qin Su’e would look for food at irregular intervals, sometimes this, sometimes that. By doing so, she had never been caught once. It seems that she indeed had her ways.

"Finally, we’re here. I’ve never felt that a car ride could be this long." Qin Xue said as she carried her luggage and looked at the bustling platform.

"That’s because you’re eager to get home quickly to see your two little treasures. That’s why you feel the time drags on." Beiying shook her head. Her eagerness to get home as soon as possible was evident to everyone traveling with them.

It’s no wonder she finds the wait so long, especially when she is in a mood of impatience, not wanting to wait any longer. So, Qin Xue would probably prefer to be home already.

"You’re right, let’s check if my dad has opened up shop first and grab something to eat before heading home." Qin Xue thought, thinking the walk back would still take a long time.

They hadn’t eaten all night, and if they walked for so long, their stomachs would be growling. Moreover, if they had to cook upon reaching home, it would take time, so it was better to grab something to eat first before returning.

The big group was heading over to support her father’s business, and it was sure to give him a pleasant surprise.

"Sure, I’m starving. If I don’t get something to offer my stomach temple soon, I won’t have the strength to walk." Rain said weakly.

"Are you a starving spirit reborn? How many times a day do we have to listen to you cry hunger?" Cloud reprimanded Rain, watching her in her ungainly state.

"Assistant Captain, I’m just growing, so I get hungry quickly. I don’t want to be like this either." Rain felt wronged.

It’s not her fault she felt this way; she was genuinely hungry. She’s a bit younger than Cloud and the others, so saying she’s growing should not be a problem.

"Alright, you’re just someone who can’t be filled, eat a lot and get hungry quickly. Didn’t you say you were hungry and wanted to eat? Let’s get going." Cloud wasn’t actually forbidding her to eat. Rain was like a little sister to her, and she couldn’t bear to let her go hungry.

"I knew the Assistant Captain was the best." Rain said happily as she heard that.

Finally, she could eat. She had been hungry since midnight and had been enduring it. She didn’t even understand why she was like this. She always ate a lot but got hungry very quickly. They all ate the same food, but she needed two portions. But while they didn’t feel hungry at all, she was already crying that she was hungry. By the time the others were hungry, Rain felt like her stomach was practically touching her back. She was starving to the point of only having one breath left.

Sometimes Rain herself wondered if she was really like the Assistant Captain said, a starving spirit reborn. Otherwise, why was she so unreliable? Fortunately, she grew up training with them, so she could endure it. As long as there was something important to do, she would hold it in no matter how hungry she was. On the contrary, when there was nothing to do, as soon as she was hungry, she wanted to eat.

"Aren’t you lucky to follow such a good master like Miss, otherwise don’t even think about such freedom." Cloud really admired Rain and was grateful for their good luck. Having been taken by the madam to train and accompany the young lady as her personal bodyguard, otherwise, how could they have such a good life with their own thoughts and freedom.
