Chapter 1682: Chapter 1676: Living in the Firewood Room

In the end, Mr. Qin and his family couldn’t win against their son-in-law, so they had no choice but to leave Qin Su’e at her parents’ home.

"Why did you come back, you useless thing?" As Qin Su’e followed her parents into the house, a childish voice sounded from inside.

"Exactly, this house is ours, not yours or your sister’s. You two are only good for bringing money back for us to spend." Another voice chimed in, making Qin Su’e feel it’s laughable. This is her family, a family where everyone just wants to eat her flesh and drink her blood.

It’s ridiculous that she always treated these people as family. They’ve driven her to such a state, why hadn’t she seen through them before? Now her heart was filled only with resentment. If it weren’t for how they treated her, she wouldn’t have ended up like this.

If they loved her the way Qin Xue’s parents loved her, how could she have married such a man? It’s all their fault; they’re the ones who ruined her. If they say she’s a worthless piece, fine, then she will fully embrace being worthless for them to see.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Dad, this useless thing is glaring at me, her gaze is scary." The childish voice immediately complained.

"How dare you glare at your brother? If you don’t want to be home, then get out." Su’e’s mom spoke out before her husband could scold her daughter. She didn’t like this daughter either; she wasn’t as pretty as Qin Xue, and her husband wasn’t as capable, nor did she bring anything of value back to her family. The more she thought about it, the more useless she seemed, and thus the more displeased she became with her.

In her mind, sons were more important than daughters, so she didn’t want to waste her energy on them. Since her husband didn’t like their daughters either, both sisters became "worthless pieces". With time, even the younger kids started calling them that.

And Mr. Qin and his wife didn’t see anything wrong with what they did. After all, she used to bring back food from the Qins and occasionally some money. That’s why they hadn’t married this daughter off early like their younger daughter, with a substantial dowry.

But who knew the outcome would end like this? How could they not feel wronged by this? They used to think she was somewhat useful, but now they no longer see her that way. Now she’s back to settle scores, but it depends on whether they’ll allow her to do so. Qin Su’e still had that vacant look, making it hard for anyone to see any changes in her. She understood that now she had become a madwoman; if she went crazy and did something, they’d just have to accept their bad luck.

One must admit, Qin Su’e had really figured things out. Now she just wanted them to see the consequences of how they treated her before. Weren’t they calling her a worthless piece? Fine, she would embody those three words completely and show them what a truly worthless piece was.

"Mom, she’s still glaring at me." The childish voice spoke up again shortly after the mother’s voice fell silent.

"Get back to the woodshed, are you here to stand around like a post?" Mr. Qin was already irritated enough. The fact that she came back wasn’t the problem; it was that now the whole village knew, and everyone was mocking their family, which he really disliked.

Now, hearing his youngest son’s words, he shouted out. Each one of them was causing him enough grief to make him want to hit someone.

Qin Su’e just lifted her bewildered face, looking at her father with confusion; after all, if she was going to play the madwoman, she needed to look like one.

"What are you looking at? Go stay in the woodshed, and you better stay there. If you dare to go out and embarrass me again, don’t blame me for not being courteous."
