Chapter 139 Loan Consultation

Chapter 139: Chapter 139 Loan Consultation

Originally, Gu Yi thought it would be best to consult with the bank as soon as possible.

But today was her first day back at school, so she went to school first.

After paying the tuition, she went to Xie Qingyi’s office.

"Counselor, Happy New Year."

Xie Qingyi was writing something in the office.

Gu Yi came in and greeted her.

"Oh, it’s Gu Yi, Happy New Year. Did you just get back? Have you run into Wang Yuan? She’s been talking about you every day at home recently."

Xie Qingyi was quite happy to see Gu Yi.

Gu Yi was a diligent student and got along well with Wang Yuan.

So, as soon as Xie Qingyi saw her, she mentioned Wang Yuan.

"Haven’t seen her yet, I’ll look for her later. I just came to say hello to you, is it okay if I attend the evening self-study session tonight?"

Gu Yi said with a smile.

Xie Qingyi had always taken good care of her, and she had actually planned to visit Wang Yuan’s house yesterday.

But after having dinner with Li Yitian, it got late, so she planned to visit Wang Yuan’s house over the weekend.

"Yes, that’s fine. If you have something to do this afternoon, go ahead and take care of it."

Xie Qingyi could tell Gu Yi had things to do in the afternoon.

But since today was just registration, there wasn’t much else, so Xie Qingyi didn’t insist that Gu Yi stay at school.

"Alright, thank you, counselor. Can you let Wang Yuan know that I’ll wait for her at the neighborhood gate before class tonight?"

Gu Yi thought it had been a while since she saw Wang Yuan.

So she asked Xie Qingyi to pass the message.

"Sure, go on with your business."

Xie Qingyi smiled and let Gu Yi go.

After leaving school, Gu Yi went home to change clothes.

Since she was going to the bank for a loan consultation, she dressed a bit more maturely.

This way, she’d feel more confident, and others could accept her more quickly.

"Hello, may I ask who I should talk to about loans?"

Gu Yi entered the bank lobby and asked someone in uniform.

The person, hearing Gu Yi was there for a loan consultation, looked her over from head to toe.

"You’re here alone?"

The person didn’t give Gu Yi directions directly, instead, they asked a question.

"Yes, I’m just here to consult first."

Gu Yi thought maybe it was because she was too young, so the person would ask. She didn’t show any emotion.

"It’s at the farthest window inside, you can ask there."

Seeing that Gu Yi didn’t have more to say, the person pointed her in the direction.

"Hello, I’d like to know what procedures are needed to get a loan?"

After sitting down, Gu Yi asked the staff inside.

The person handling business was quite courteous.

"For a loan, we need your income proof, collateral is required, and you need a guarantor. How much are you planning to borrow?"

The person explained the loan conditions and then asked how much Gu Yi wanted to borrow.

"Four million."

Gu Yi’s reply startled the person.

Not many come to this window for loan consultations, so hearing this young girl ask for four million was surprising.

They looked at Gu Yi again.

Even though Gu Yi dressed maturely today, she still looked very young.

"If you want to borrow four million, you need collateral worth four million, and a guarantor. We’ll submit the materials to the head office for review."

The person, seeing Gu Yi wasn’t joking, explained carefully.

"I see, so much collateral is needed."

Gu Yi knew obtaining a loan wasn’t easy but didn’t expect this requirement.

"Alright, I understand now, thank you."

Gu Yi was walking on the road, feeling quite frustrated.

How could she seize such a good money-making opportunity?

She stood by the road waiting for a bus, looking at an advertisement for Good Taste Company at the station.

"If only Liang Yesheng could collaborate."

Gu Yi mumbled as she looked at her toes, then suddenly lifted her head.

"Oh right, there’s still Liang Yesheng. How could I forget him?"

Gu Yi said, smiling very happily.

People around her saw Gu Yi sighing one moment and jumping joyfully the next,

and looked at her warily, stepping back a bit to stay away from her.

Gu Yi knew Liang Yesheng’s company wasn’t far from there, so she couldn’t wait for the bus anymore.

She grabbed her bag and walked towards Liang Yesheng’s company.

Upon arriving at Good Taste Company, she told the old gatekeeper she needed to see Liang Yesheng.

The old man looked at her and didn’t open the gate, instead, he asked,

"What’s your business with him?"

"I’m a friend of his, here to discuss something."

Gu Yi didn’t think much and just said it.

"Do you have an appointment?"

"No, I’m looking for him urgently. Could you please call him for me?"

Gu Yi noticed the man had no intention of opening the gate.

"Our boss is busy every day, if I tell him someone without an appointment is looking for him, I could lose my job."

The old man finally responded.

"Could you help me find Yang Lin then, just tell him Gu Yi is here, please?"

Gu Yi thought since the boss was busy, seeing Yang Lin would be more feasible.

"Manager Yang, you know him too?"

The old man’s attitude softened when Gu Yi mentioned Yang Lin’s name.

"Yes, we’re from the same hometown."

Gu Yi quickly nodded.

"Wait a moment, I’ll make a call."

The old man picked up the phone in the gatehouse and dialed.

"Hello, is this Manager Yang? There’s a young lady named Gu Yi here to see you. I wanted to check if she should be let in."

"Oh, alright, alright."

The old man hung up the phone and turned to Gu Yi.

"Manager Yang said to wait here, he’ll be down shortly."

"Thank you so much."

Gu Yi expressed her thanks and waited for Yang Lin in the gatehouse.

It wasn’t long before Yang Lin arrived.

"Gu Yi, it’s really you! Long time no see."

Yang Lin hurried over and shook hands with Gu Yi.

"Yes, it has been a while."

"Come on, let’s head inside. I’ll take you to see Yesheng."

Yang Lin said as he led Gu Yi inside.

"Have you been busy lately?"

Gu Yi asked while walking.

"Yes, quite busy, but thanks to your earlier suggestions, we’ve found agents in many cities, and it’s much easier now."

Whenever Liang Yesheng encountered business issues, he consulted Gu Yi over the phone.

Gu Yi shared some of her future experiences with him; although they contacted each other often, they rarely met.

"Did Yesheng say you’ve moved to B City?"

"Yes, my family has graduated from military school, so I moved here with the contingent."

The two chatted all the way to Liang Yesheng’s office building.

Looking at the two-story office building in front of her, it was hard to imagine the future executive office of Good Taste Company started from here.

"Yesheng, Yesheng, guess who I brought?"

As Gu Yi followed Yang Lin upstairs, Yang Lin shouted loudly.

"Who could it be that got you so worked up?"

Liang Yesheng’s voice came from upstairs.

Just as Gu Yi and Yang Lin rounded the stairs, they saw Liang Yesheng standing at his office door.

"Oh, it’s Gu Yi. What wind blew you here?"

Liang Yesheng knew Gu Yi had been in B City, but with his busy schedule and phone communications taking care of matters, they hadn’t met in the city.
