Chapter 524: Chapter 526: Hate You More Than Him

Pei Chengye opened his eyes, released the maid in front of him, turned around, and frowned, "What is he here for?"

"The Fourth Prince did not say, does the Second Prince want to see him?" the butler asked.

"Have him come over." Pei Chengye let out a cold smile, then wrapped his arm around the maid and sat down on a stone bench nearby, picking up a wine jug and pouring it into her mouth.

The maid, unable to refuse, cringed as the fiery sensation made her frown tightly.

Pei Jingyi, following the butler, arrived at the pavilion and immediately saw Pei Chengye’s intimate actions with the maid. He slightly raised his eyebrow, his expression darkening a few shades.

"Second brother, do you truly intend to continue this degenerate way?"

"Ha, otherwise what? The victor becomes king, and the loser a bandit. Now that I am trapped in this residence, what else can I do?" Pei Chengye looked on with a mocking smile, his tone indifferent and calm.

Pei Jingyi curved his lips into a light smile, his gaze, however, was extremely venomous, "Pei Huaian is about to take the position you most desire, are you truly willing to accept that?"

"What if I am not willing?" Pei Chengye released the maid from his embrace and carelessly took another sip of wine.

Pei Jingyi leaned in closer, a glint in his eye, "How about we, two brothers, join hands and pull Pei Huaian down from that position?"

"And then? You take the opportunity to climb up, and all the charges fall on me. Younger brother, you really do have good schemes," Pei Chengye scoffed, full of sarcasm.

Pei Jingyi narrowed his eyes, "Second brother misunderstands, I merely wish to help you seek revenge! If it weren’t for Pei Huaian, you probably would have already succeeded in taking the position of the Crown Prince."

"Heh..." Pei Chengye shook his head and sneered, clearly scoffing at his words.

Pei Jingyi clenched his teeth, his fists tight, "Has second brother really forgotten who is to blame for you becoming like this?"

Pei Chengye’s complexion changed slightly, a fierce killing intent flashed through his eyes but quickly returned to calm. He lowered his gaze and said indifferently, "Of course, I haven’t forgotten."

"Second brother, as long as you hand over the military power and influence you hold to me, I will definitely help you seek vengeance and get you out of this place."

Pei Chengye looked up at him, the drunkenness in his eyes completely gone, leaving only clarity.

"Do you say, do I really have a chance of leaving this place?"

Pei Jingyi, thinking he had persuaded him, spoke with pride, "Of course, as long as second brother is willing to help me, I will naturally assist you in getting out of here."

"Hahaha... Younger brother, oh younger brother, do you think I am unaware of the things you have done? You have more than once plotted against me. If it weren’t for you, how would I have come to this state?"

At this, Pei Chengye suddenly stood up, slapping the table, his eyes carrying a mocking look.

"What are you talking about, second brother? I don’t understand," Pei Jingyi’s smile froze on his face, and he spoke with an awkward expression.

Pei Chengye let out a cold laugh, "It doesn’t matter if you don’t understand, you just need to know that I hate you even more than Pei Huaian!"

If it hadn’t been for him, how would the Zheng Family have fallen, and how would he have ended up in this sorry state!

Pei Jingyi, frightened by his gaze, retreated two steps, swallowed nervously, and hurriedly got up to leave, fearing Pei Chengye would go mad and hurt him.

Watching the person fleeing like a scared animal, Pei Chengye’s cruel smile grew wider and wider.

And all this was witnessed by Jiang Zhou, who was hiding in the dark.

She turned and hurried away.

Pei Chengye withdrew his gaze, glanced at the spot where Jiang Zhou had been hiding, and picked up the wine jug to gulp down another mouthful of wine.

His staggering form made its way into Jiang Zhou’s courtyard, where he raised his sleeve to wipe his mouth, then staggered towards the room.

The maids in the courtyard quickly bowed, "Second Prince."

Pei Chengye paid them no heed and pushed open the door. Jiang Zhou, who was writing inside, furrowed her brow slightly upon seeing the visitor.

The maid beside her stepped forward and bowed, "Second Prince."

Pei Chengye gave her a brief look and went straight to Jiang Zhou.

The maid hurriedly blocked his way again, "Second Prince, you have drunk too much; let this servant take care of you and help you rest."

Pei Chengye moved close to her, inhaling the familiar scent of her body, his gaze hazy. He stuck out his tongue to lick her earlobe and tenderly said, "Very well, then you shall attend to this prince."

The maid’s eyes widened in shock, and she wanted to stop him, but he held her tightly in his arms.

"Se... Second Prince, it is not proper. I am... I am the lady’s servant," the maid stammered, her face flushed as she struggled to break free, to no avail.

Pei Chengye smirked with mockery, "Didn’t you just say you would attend to this prince? Why have you changed your mind now?"

Having said this, he suddenly tore open the maid’s garment, causing her to scream in terror.

"Second Prince, please spare this servant," she cried out.

Jiang Zhou watched the scene unfold with cold detachment, not stopping Pei Chengye’s actions.

Only when the maid’s clothes were all torn did Jiang Zhou finally speak up, reminding him, "Enough."

At her word, Pei Chengye stopped what he was doing, his lascivious gaze turning towards Jiang Zhou as he laughed, "What? Are you angry?"

"If the Second Prince desires women, there will be those who will fall over themselves to please you. Why bother with a servant here?"

Jiner was, after all, her attendant, having followed her from the Prince’s Residence to marry into the Second Prince’s Mansion. She could not stand by and watch Jiner be devoured.

Pei Chengye pushed Jiner away and approached Jiang Zhou step by step, pinching her chin to lift it.

"Since you are unwilling to let her attend to this prince, how about you do it instead?"

Jiang Zhou felt a throbbing pain in her jaw, but what shocked her more were Pei Chengye’s words.
