Cassandra was in his thick arms, overjoyed at the moment. Placing her hand on his chest she felt the rush of power coursing through his veins now.

"Do I need to bow to the god of beasts?" Lotus teased her brother-in-law with her left brow raised. A teasing smile played on her lips.

"If you feel like it, sister-in-law," he smirked, stroking Cassandra’s hair. They had softened after her transformation, and the wildness in them had lessened.

"Congratulations! Even gods will think twice before picking a fight with you." Razial offered, stepping forward.

"Well, there is one particular god I would like to challenge." The intensity of gold in his eyes and veins increased as he was reminded of Kalthian.

"Give him hell, brother." Faris stiffened beside him, understanding whom his brother was referring to. Aiko watched her mate’s hardened face and instantly clasped his hand in hers, calming him down with her touch.

"I will."

"We are going to pay them a visit. It’s due," Cassandra seethed out, referring to her father and ex-fiancé.

"You should after your mating. It will connect the both of you, physically and emotionally. Your bond will be completed. Your minds will connect and you could speak through the mindlink. Alpha Siroos’s lost memories as Alpha Kael will be restored and the curse will be lifted," Riemc explained, revealing why the tree was necessary.

Cassandra and Siroos nodded as she further said.

"Your companions can return to the pack but you must complete your bond here before leaving."

She moved towards the tree, gliding over the ground, her feet hardly touched it. The whole place was blanketed with the flowers that had recently bloomed, giving the CAFLRS some privacy to discuss what they needed to do further.

"I think four of you should return to the pack. We don’t even know how the situation is back there. Keep everyone safe. Once Cassandra and I sort everything, we will return," Siroos laid out the plan, his chest and arm glistening from the golden ink that was permanently embedded in his sun-kissed skin.

"I don’t even have to ask if both of you will be fine. You are so much stronger now, I can’t wait to see the look on Arkiam and Kalthian’s faces. Go send those gods to hell," Lotus said with determination shining in her eyes.

A consensus was reached where Cassandra and Siroos were to stay behind and complete their bond while the others would return to Dusartine using Aiko’s powers.

Aiko hugged Cassandra, "Hope to see you soon."

"Same feelings, Aiko. I know you and Faris have gotten closer. Keep strengthening your bond. Love always prevails." Cassandra brimmed her heart with conviction and love.

"I will."

"You better make me an uncle soon." Faris hugged his brother and whispered in his ear, thumping his broad back, it had widened even more after his status was changed.

The man was even bigger and broader.

"And you better mark your mate and do right by her," Siroos countered, holding his younger brother’s shoulders.

"We will have a marking ceremony once you return with my SIL." Faris turned and winked at his mate, making her eyes glaze over with shyness, she bore them in the ground.

"And our marriage ceremony too. So return soon, both of you. Good wishes on this new journey," Razial offered his regards, pulling Lotus closer to him. Not wanting to be left behind on the boasting part.

"Yes, I am not getting married without my sister." Lotus blew a kiss towards Cassandra. She caught it with a wink.

Once they were ready, they said goodbye to Riemc, bowing in respect to the goddess. She blessed them with good unions before Aiko opened the portal some miles away from their dwelling.

Saying their final goodbyes, the four of them walked through the portal and disappeared, the portal closed behind them.

"So, god of beasts, you want to show me what you got?" Cassandra deliberately batted her long lashes at her mate while slowly sliding her hand over his shining naked chest. The smooth skin felt so tantalising under her touch.

"I don’t mind taking you, right here, among these flowers, my Malakti." He leaned in and whispered over the shell of her ear making the hair on the back of her neck prick.

Cassandra lifted her gaze and met his sweltering orbs of melted gold, they wished to devour her whole until all she could feel was him.

"Ahmm!" Riemc had to clear her throat with her hand in front of her mouth to stifle a laugh to break the trance between them. While Cassandra’s ears and cheeks tinged pink, Siroos remained as shameless as he was and turned his head to watch the goddess.

"There is a phoenix’s nest on the tree, reserved for the very purpose of the mating ceremony. I have had it constructed for the two of you. It has a spell around it so once inside no one can see you, not even me or the gods but you can observe everything. I wish both of you a very divine and prosperous mating."

Their hearts thumped in excitement at the prospect of completing their bond. Although they had done it in their previous lives, these lives were different and they couldn’t wait to be in each other’s arms, becoming one.

"You have been very kind, Riemc. We heartily appreciate everything you did for us." Cassandra acknowledged the goddess.

"Your mother and I are close friends. Your father never deserved that woman. Visit her after your mating. She has a present waiting for you," Riemc answered, the dazzling smile never left her face. Her pet phoenixes took flight and began circling the tree again.

Cassandra acknowledged her with a bow. "I will do that. It has been such a long time since I met her."

"I will take my leave now. If you ever need me, just say my name."

The goddess of peace dazzled them with one last smile which held a hint of mischief as if nudging them towards their combined destiny. Just as she had appeared, she disappeared, melting away into thin air only leaving her fragrance behind.

"So my goddess are you prepared to meet my massive poker you find so mesmerising?" Siroos deliberately teased.
