Reborn As Cursed Alpha's Mate
Chapter 244: Surprise For Siroos

Chapter 244: Surprise For Siroos

"Only yours," Siroos fondly murmured to her as her wings wrapped around him, caressing his long brown hair and deeply cut cheeks.

"Fairytale, my sister is a living breathing fairy now," Lotus said in awe, her eyes going all starry as she placed her hands under her chin and watched her transformation.

Cassandra and Siroos finally broke apart and she turned and rushed to Lotus and her other companions. Lotus received her with open arms. Both hugged each other. The older sister kissed Cassandra’s cheeks, one after the other.

"I always knew you were special, and today you have unlocked your truest self," Lotus remarked, holding Cassandra’s face in her hands while Razial nodded in agreement.

"The goddess has emerged." Faris took a dramatic bow with both his hands stretched forward. "All hail the goddess of love." He embraced his SIL with happiness exuding out of every pore he possessed.

"Thank you, Faris." Cassandra patted his back as he touched her feathery wing just out of curiosity.

"So soft."

"You have wings." Aiko joined her mate and was most befuddled among them. Her eyes had literal stars dancing in them seeing Cassandra transformed.

"Yes, it came with the title, and they help me move between the realms," Cassandra explained with her sweet smile.

The bewildered companions continued to be mesmerised by the goddess of love while Riemc’s attention turned to Siroos as she patted her phoenix. Closing his eyes, the large bird melted into the touch of his goddess who shared her powers with him.

"Alpha Siroos Dusartine, you have been wronged by Arkiam and Kalthian. They should have rewritten their wrongs but they didn’t. Aylin and I had to go around their curse, bless you with extraordinary powers and put you through hardships so we could finally rid you of that curse. You proved your mettle. Therefore, we have decided to raise you to our ranks." She paused, the smile on her lips broadening.

Siroos watched her in utter confusion while his companions turned and began to grin ear to ear. They understood what was coming.

"Alpha Siroos, we are alleviating you to the rank of god of earthly beasts. You already carry countless spirits inside you, therefore, every existing animal in this world will be under you and will listen and follow your command. You will be the god of beasts. Are you ready for such a power?"

Cassandra couldn’t contain her excitement and the biggest grin that her mouth could manage plastered on her lips. She tried to stay still and not scream and jump at the same time. Riemc was about to turn her mate into an immortal god.

Faris excitedly squealed behind him pumping the air.

"Yes, my brother is going to become a god."

"Way to go, brother-in-law," Lotus chuckled, clapping her hands together.

"Marvelous!" Razial offered with a smile of his own.

"Truly worth it." Aiko happily said.

Siroos’s spirits were gaily dancing inside his head as well. Duskborn was ecstatic.

"I am," Siroos confidently said with a slow smirk forming on his lips. His eyes went to his ever-shining mate and she gave him a mischievous wink.

"Excellent. Before we proceed you would need to sacrifice something you hold dear," Riemc continued.

Siroos thought for a few seconds before answering.

"I would like to sacrifice my self-righteous pride which I always hold in high regard. I would try to be more understanding of other humans as well as the animals I would command." The air rippled, and the phoenixes flew towards Siroos circling him.

"That’s a wise choice. Please, step closer to the tree and place your hand on it."

Siroos did as he was instructed while others curiously observed him. His large hand rested on the golden-streaked trunk of this magnificent piece of wonder. It pulsated with this vibrancy that eased Siroos’s heart.

A shockwave of golden light erupted from the point of contact, racing up his arm and flooding his entire body.

He staggered but did not fall, his breathing became ragged as the light poured into him. The veins of gold in the tree surged with energy, mirroring the transformation taking place within him.

A searing heat coursed through his body, both excruciating and exhilarating. His shirt tore apart as his chest heaved, exposing his already muscular frame. But it didn’t stop there—his muscles swelled further, growing impossibly defined.

Golden lines began to snake across his skin, starting from his neck and spreading like living fire. They coiled around his shoulder, down his chest, and across half of his torso and right arm. The intricate patterns glowed faintly, resembling the branches of the tree and numerous beasts, marking him as something otherworldly.

The golden aura enveloped him, rippling like heat waves, but instead of burning, it exuded power and primal energy. The ground beneath his feet cracked slightly, unable to bear the sheer force of his transformation.

He let out a guttural roar, a sound that echoed through the place and beyond, reverberating with the power of every beast in existence. Around him, spectral forms of animals began to appear—wolves, lions, eagles, and creatures more ancient and wild than the mortal world had ever known, even Gadal. They circled him, their glowing eyes fixed upon their new god.

The man—no, the god—stood taller, his presence commanding and unyielding. The tattoos on his body pulsed softly, in rhythm with the heartbeat of the world itself. He understood now: he was no longer just a man.

He was the god of Beasts, the guardian of the wild, the protector of all that was untamed and free.

His gaze turned back to the tree, gratitude and reverence flickering across his face. The tree’s golden light dimmed slightly, as if satisfied that its purpose had been fulfilled.

"You are one of us now and your power will be paralleled to other gods. I hope you will strive to bring peace to this chaotic world. I have high hopes for you, Alpha Siroos Dusartine—the god of beasts," Riemc’s words echoed in that place like tiny bells of hope. Siroos took a brief nod at her as his companions gathered him and celebrated this occasion.

"My brother is a god," Faris loudly announced to anyone who would hear.
