Chapter 666: Chapter 34 Absorbing Knowledge! [Subscriptions Needed]_2
Jia Yan did not respond; instead, he watched the bustling life forms in the back, starting to gather supplies.
It was then that Jia Yan discovered that some of Earth City’s creatures were starting to exhibit happiness. Throughout, Jia Yan was not oblivious to these members’ emotions, but never before had he understood them as he did now.
These creatures didn’t ask for much, only a place where they could survive!
Yet, over a hundred thousand life forms congregated in the small confines of two transport ships, with some creatures possibly not even having room to stretch their legs.
Even if it was completely spacious, the two two-kilometer-long transport ships, plus another one-kilometer ship, could really accommodate very little space. In fact, about two-fifths of it had to be used for storing supplies!
To conserve space and maximize activity area, all areas of the transport ship had been compressed in the past few days!
Each tier of the two kilometer transportation ship was packed to its utmost, as if each level was divided into several smaller spaces!
Despite this, all of the creatures from Earth City continued working without too many complaints.
Perhaps it was because there was nowhere to go in the universe, or perhaps because they had no capacity to defy Jia Yan. In their hearts, perhaps they just desired a real home.
Earth City had successfully escaped from the giant prison of the Grey-Yellow Star! These ordinary creatures, who could never leave their planet in their lifetimes and possibly never escape the dark corners of the so-called Grey-Yellow Star, had now been brought out by Jia Yan. They now seemed to feel a bit more acknowledged and while this acknowledgement might not be enough to penetrate into the hearts of all of Big Mosquito’s followers, if Jia Yan continued this way, one day it would!
"Daphne, you go and help too. I believe you will bring me good news in half a month."
"Yes!"
Watching Daphne departing gracefully, Jia Yan’s mind began fluttering towards something. It seemed like he had received something, yet at the same time, received nothing...
A small dwelling, although not spacious was slightly better than the others, was the place Jia Yan chose to stay. Jia Yan preferred to stay in this place undisturbed.
As someone without professional knowledge and a monstrous body that was more hindrance than help, he was of little help in the construction of the spaceship. So, he decided to spend his valuable time conducting his own research.
His heart was filled with melancholy, perhaps due to the news of his impending return to Earth after "half a month". Unable to keep his mind calm, he began to think more!
With nothing else to do, Jia Yan began to bring out and examine the books he had collected.
He was woefully ignorant of foreign stars and himself. Now that he had some time, he could indulge in a bit of research.
He was deeply interested in alien civilizations and many other things.
Jia Yan opened his portable Smart Brain and a two-meter square holographic screen appeared. It was far from comfortable compared to the Smart Brain screen he’d seen in Daville’s library, but Jia Yan had no choice!
Disregarding the discomfort, Jia Yan began to browse.
"The most powerful in this starfield was originally the Ru Lan Empire?!" Upon reading this history book, Jia Yan was immediately intrigued.
The Ru Lan Empire was a civilization Jia Yan knew of back on Earth, and Daphne had always referred to it as the ’Empire’. It was only after he reached the Grey-Yellow Star that he learned that this civilization was the Ru Lan Civilization. But he didn’t know much about it.
Only now did he discover that this civilization was one of the oldest and most profound Civilization Empires in this star field!
"They were even colonizers of many civilizations, but 5,700 years ago, after a war that engulfed the entire star field, the original Ru Lan Empire was extinguished in one fell swoop, becoming the current Ru Lan Empire, just one among many civilizations. But still, with a deep foundation, no civilization dares to underestimate it."
It seemed that Daphne had good reasons for admiring the Ru Lan Empire. After all, it was the parent of almost all nearby civilizations.
Jia Yan pondered this for a while and then moved on to read about other civilizations.
Compared to Earth’s relatively recent civilization, the history of civilizations in the universe was infinitely more fascinating. From the half-awakened planet of the Ostro Civilization, how they broke free from the Ru Lan Empire’s enslavement to gradually became powerful. How the Rongzhi Clan arose and was hit by countless civilizations then persistently resisted, and are still a concern to all the powerful empires to this day.
Jia Yan got a rough understanding of some of the grudges and grievances of civilizations whose names he knew as well as those he didn’t. The birth of every major interstellar civilization was not accidental; each civilization had countless stories that could be praised or wept for. Jia Yan was so engrossed in the reading that he became obsessed!
Reading these history books was like watching an epic movie, moreover, the backdrop of these epics was the starry sky! Jia Yan felt like a sponge, absorbing the knowledge of the universe and slowly gaining a better understanding of it!
