Chapter 664: Chapter 33: Information Prepared for Earth! [Subscribe request] _3

"Ten thousand Auster Yuan? ..." Jia Yan was taken aback when the bill came.

"Yes, Lord. In the books you purchased, many of them are explicitly forbidden from massive distribution in the interstellar civilization. Like this one... On the Further Use of Nuclear Energy. And this one, on how the basic starry sky industry developed. And this one..."

The library staff hurriedly began explaining to Jia Yan book by book. The expensive books were indeed these few. After all, some of the books truly were forbidden. They dared to sell them here, but they didn’t dare to blatantly sell them at extremely low prices. Mass distribution of these books, especially in the hands of many small elementary civilizations, is absolutely not something the advanced civilizations would allow!

And selling them at a high price would mean that the lesser civilizations wouldn’t be able to afford them, even if they were to sell their pots and pans. Don’t underestimate the funds Mosquito and his crew possess to afford these prices. This is the wealth brought about by Big Mosquito’s extraordinary combat power. An ordinary elementary civilization would struggle even just to reach the stars, let alone having that much money!

Of course, even though these books are contraband, they are not considered too important. The extremely important books couldn’t possibly be owned by this settlement.

"Send a message to Leader Jing Laff, tell him I’m an assassin and see if he’s willing to give me a discount." Jia Yan wasn’t willing to splurge that much money on these virtual books. He had faith that Jing Laff, who was trading with Earth City, would be willing to give him a discount.

"Yes, Lord!"

Upon hearing that this powerful individual had a connection with the settlement’s highest leader, the staff members immediately became even more respectful!

"Lord, Leader Jing Laff said to consider these trivial items as a courtesy from the trade. If Lord requires anything else, all other books are at a 50% discount for you!" After not long, the staff member respectfully returned with good news.

"No need." Jia Yan shook his head. It seemed Jing Laff was quite the businessman.

He walked out of the library, leaving behind footprints that made the library staff want to cry yet they were unable to.

"Lord! The trade has been almost finalized. We are exchanging two 150-meter grade spaceships and most of the useless materials for mostly complete modification materials and about 80% of the energy required for a long journey. This has exceeded my expectations, what does Lord think?!" Daphne’s voice came in through the communicator.

"Tell me the details." Jia Yan said indifferently.

...

Five hours later.

Two spaceships, not looking the most presentable, soared into the sky!

Not long after they left, some of Daville’s cargo ships started urgently loading up!

Huge amounts of materials were being loaded crazily into the cargo ships just like they weren’t costing them any money.

"Hey, Jing Laff has closed another big deal! He somehow always manages to secure deals like this recently, really makes one envious."

Some of the trade ships flying around the Daville settlement looked enviously at Jing Laff’s trading ship. Looking at the scene of the shipment, they felt extreme envy.

But this kind of deal, to them, is not exactly a huge deal. As for the Jing Laff’s side, this might just be a passable deal to them!

It’s just two spaceships, but compared to the cargo ships docked outside the settlement, they are nothing much to look at.

But for Earth City, these are game-changers!

The materials for their spaceship modification will be arriving soon!

"Lord, this deal is very timely. We were almost due for an oxygen crisis and food shortage. Now, we can breathe a sigh of relief. We even managed to trade our unused materials for a production line for nutrient solution that is incredibly scarce in the interstellar world. This is a typically controlled material that is rarely seen in normal trades. With this, we can alleviate the issue of food for future populations."

With the successful operation, even the usually not so smiley Daphne was full of smiles. Her stunning smile seemed to make the dark space light up a little.

"You guys did well." It was rare for Jia Yan to give a compliment to the negotiation team members.

"No! All the credits go to Lord. You should know that Jing Laff has been praising Lord all along. He has subtly asked us more than once whether we would be interested in causing some trouble for the big civilizations. I suspect he wants to restore the glory of his parents and have the natives reclaim their rulership of the Gray-Yellow Star." Daphne shook her head.

"No matter what his intentions are, it doesn’t matter now. This place will soon be a thing of the past for us!" Jia Yan sighed lightly, he didn’t want to get involved in the ins and outs of the starry sky.

"Yes! Once the materials arrive, the construction of the gravitational wave device, which I originally estimated to take a month, can be completed in about half a month! Then, it will be the day we return to Earth!"

Hearing Jia Yan’s words, Daphne sounded a bit excited.

Half a month? ...

Jia Yan paused for a moment, then looked deeply into the mysterious starry sky...

Earth, dad, mom, little sister.

I will be home soon!!

"Lords, welcome back!"

Two broken-down spaceships quickly arrived in a starry sky area devoid of any other objects. Here, multiple virtually powered-off spaceships were parked quietly.

Seeing Jia Yan and others return, voices filled with surprise and anticipation came from these ships!

They didn’t take advantage of the Lords’ absence to cause trouble or to rebel!

The beings of Earth City, too, have settled down at this time.

"We’re back! A large number of materials will be sent soon. Order everyone to stand by, prepare for the exchange of goods and ship modification. Soon, it will be the moment for a dramatic change in our Earth City Fleet!"

Daphne gave out an order, her voice tinged with joy.

In no time, the two spaceships came to a halt. Big Mosquito and Daphne quickly entered the largest Daville transportation ship.

Meanwhile, everyone in all the ships had already been mobilized!

Before long, under the leadership of the two highest-ranking officials, the intelligent life forms now tied to Earth City began to take action!

And not far off, the first exchange spaceship from the Daville settlement has arrived...

(In the book, only half a month before returning to Earth~~)
