Jia Yan tried his best not to get involved in construction work to avoid exposing his identity - not just as an alien, but as a being from an interstellar civilization. After all, his lack of expertise could raise suspicions among his subordinates, potentially leading them to suspect that their leader was a monster from a primitive planet!

He had no choice but to order the vehicle fleet to halt, refraining from further provocations towards the opponent.

"There are several approaches to consider. The first is to continue what the vehicle fleets have been doing – planting ’poisons’ at the forest’s edge, but the benefits of this strategy are meager. The second approach is to ignore the threats from the creature and continue attacking other powers. If push comes to shove, we are prepared to fight them!"

Jia Yan was somewhat vexed. Initially, he intended to express his strength in the Gold Desert, but there turned out to be a superpower restricting him. He even speculated that a civilization—an actual civilization—manipulated everything behind the scenes. Even if he could secure a tactical advantage in a confrontation, he wouldn’t be a match for them, should the civilization behind the scene emerges. His lone Big Mosquito would stand no chance!

"Yet, there’s a third option!"

Jia Yan’s compound eyes glittered.

"That is to pool every available resource from the vehicle fleets – to make sacrifices in order to provide me with the energy for mutation! If I could evolve once more..."

Just the thought of the immense power he gained each time he mutated stirred Jia Yan’s heart.

Even though these three fleets combined had a wide variety of goods for sale, it is unlikely they can gather the resources required for Jia Yan’s mutation under normal circumstances.

But don’t forget, Jia Yan had always kept a stash of ’treasure’ hidden under his double-winged membrane.

These included numerous pieces of ’Star-condensed substances’ of various sizes, treasures handed over by Daphne, and the ’Star Secret Silver’ he obtained from the gravitational wave.

With these treasures—which constantly aroused his devouring desire—at the ready, and combined with a certain amount of resources, undergoing the next mutation wouldn’t be impossible!

"Due to the previous deficiency of energy, my body drained, leading to a stabilization in my internal organs’ structure. Even the new organs grown after mutation, which hadn’t been scientifically adapted and adjusted in the past, are now well adapted. I’m definitely ready for the next mutation!"

"Out of the three options, my choice is..."

After briefly deliberating, Jia Yan—who was watching the alien creatures down below—knew that if he chose the third option, these creatures would be in for a tough time.

"Oluk! I command you, come to me!"

Off in the distance, Oluk, who was busily managing more and more complex affairs, suddenly heard Jia Yan’s brainwave power resonating through the air, reaching his ear.

"Yes, my lord!" Oluk immediately abandoned all that was at hand.

Though he didn’t know what Lord Assassin wanted from him, he was very clear that everything he had was given by the Lord. So if he were to prioritize other matters above the Lord’s summons, he would be no better than a fool!

Therefore, no matter how important the matter he was handling, it was to be cast aside.

Moments later, beneath the canopy of a tree on which an enormous flying creature was perched, Oluk’s astonished voice rang out uncontrollably,

"What? My Lord, you... you... you intend to take most of the property from the vehicle fleets, to exchange for what you need?!" Oluk unbelievingly widened his frog eyes.
