Chapter 1412: Chapter 24 Earth Shocked [Request for Genuine Subscription]
"Today’s news is once again about the remnant forces of the Doom Squad. Several major forces of the Allied Army, under the pretense of aiding refugees, attempted to enter the headquarters of the former Doom Squad forces, but were rejected by the remaining forces of the Doom Squad. A conflict erupted, resulting in over sixty deaths, including members of the Doom Squad’s army. On the Allied side, over thirty righteous warriors lost their lives in battle."
In the starry skies of the Dark Realm, news about the Doom Squad dominated.
Moreover, the media’s bias was blatantly clear. It was obvious to everyone that the so-called Dark Realm Allied Forces were invading the Doom Squad under the guise of ’rescuing refugees.’
Yet the media shamelessly portrayed this as a righteous act, inciting anger in those who watched the news.
But regardless of the fury towards the media, every creature in the Dark Realm fixed their gaze on this rare war, and through it, they gained a deeper understanding of the terrifying nature of the legendary ’Mo Ke.’
The Allied Army’s several major forces fought the remaining strong fighters of the Doom Squad for several days, with daily casualties numbering in the hundreds. This was despite both sides engaging in fierce combat to the death. However, what should have been a brutal and bloody battle seemed not so exaggerated in comparison to Mo Ke’s previous actions.
It’s worth noting that this legendary subspace being, by himself, annihilated over ten thousand core warriors of the Doom Squad, leaving the Doom Squad practically powerless to resist.
"If you ask me, the war occurring in the Doom Squad’s territory now is meaningless. Mo Ke’s lone battle against the Doom Squad, now that was something epic. Such a pity that no one has detailed accounts of that confrontation."
"The guy above is still idolizing Mo Ke? Just wait. Those who worship Mo Ke better not get too comfortable. He’s still roaming our Dark Realm, and if he gets unhappy one day and wreaks havoc here again, don’t come crying then."
"Speaking of, does anyone have any idea how Mo Ke managed to devastate the Doom Squad in the first place? Any guesses?"
"I heard from one of the Doom Squad refugees that it seemed to involve triggering a black hole or something equally insane. No one knows how he survived it, but one thing’s certain—this guy is dangerously unpredictable."
Many creatures in the Dark Realm chatted on virtual networks, discussing the ongoing Doom Squad war while focusing on the direct and terrifying cause of the Doom Squad’s downfall—Mo Ke, or rather, Jia Yan.
These discussions incidentally boosted the business of the Ting Tian Pavilion. Of course, none of them could meet Jia Yan himself, who was deep in cultivation.
This situation persisted for months.
Finally, one day, on the Ting Tian Pavilion—
A faint, space-rippling sound rang out, causing a collective shudder among the creatures conducting business there and those submitting simple task commissions!
"What was that vibration? Terrifying."
The tremor, felt deep in their minds, made the creatures instinctively sense their fragility, as though they could shatter within this quake.
But before long, the vibration subsided.
As expected, all eyes turned to the stone hut at the center of the Hearing Sky Star.
That hut was where Jia Yan had been secluded in cultivation.
"Ha... Seems my space talent has only grown this much for now."
Jia Yan stood up leisurely in the stone hut’s center.
Not long after, a figure within subspace began to fade away from the Hearing Sky Star.
Jia Yan had quietly departed, taking his avatar with him, without saying a word.
Ting Tian Pavilion was merely a small group Jia Yan had casually formed; he felt no strong attachment to it. Of course, he planned on returning in the future. For now, though, he still found the Dark Realm to be a favorable place.
In the vast starry skies, Jia Yan surged through subspace for an extended period, eventually exiting into normal space.
"Over these past months, Ting Tian Pavilion managed to collect three space stones, which should be enough to fuel my travel for a while. However, I need to periodically exit subspace and fly in ordinary space to allow the space stones to recharge slowly—only then can I travel farther."
Currently, Jia Yan was flying inside subspace using the space stones as energy aids; otherwise, his speed would be greatly reduced.
With only three space stones, he had no choice but to conserve their usage.
In truth, he had considered staying in the Dark Realm longer to gather more space stones before undertaking a long journey. But after some thought, Jia Yan decided to head directly toward the Liqiao Forces, as the distance was vast, and waiting to collect more stones would waste too much time.
Without the aid of a peak-level conceptual ship, Jia Yan felt unsafe in the Dark Realm.
"Hmm?"
While flying accompanied by his avatar, Jia Yan’s expression suddenly shifted.
The change in his demeanor wasn’t triggered by anything concerning his true body; rather, something else had attracted his attention.
It was his Earth ’Jia Yan’ avatar—something seemed amiss!
"Fine then. I’ll divert some attention to that side for a moment. I’m just traveling now and won’t reach the Liqiao Forces anytime soon."
After a moment’s thought, Jia Yan decided to focus on the situation concerning his avatar.
After all, Earth was Jia Yan’s homeland; anything happening there could not be ignored.
With a mere shift in mental focus, a powerful will seemingly traversed countless light-years and arrived at a distant region—Earth.
On this blue planet, Earth dwellers had long embraced lifestyles far advanced compared to decades prior, during the Common Era.
Several decades ago, who could have imagined Earth people could live lives supported by virtual networks and robots so soon?
But now, such was the norm.
At the Jia Family Land, in a place that appeared to have been neglected for years, a human arm slowly emerged from the soil.
This was a man with snow-white skin!
His appearance might not be conventionally handsome, but an inexplicable aura made him as radiant as a jewel—or perhaps a bright moon—rendering him unmistakably striking among a crowd.
He was Jia Yan’s human avatar.
"This body’s strength... too weak."
Jia Yan had just projected his senses into this body and could only shake his head helplessly.
It was worth noting that this avatar was created in the Northern Star Domain and had always been far weaker than his true body. Now, after years of honing his true body in the Genius Battlefield, while still retaining Dignitary status, his strength had already surpassed the level at which he had originally created the avatar.
Thus, shifting his focus to this avatar, he found its weak power rather unsatisfactory.
Nonetheless, Jia Yan’s current abilities could still enhance this avatar significantly, especially in space talent, where he could impart immense power increases.
As Jia Yan climbed out of the soil, he began scanning Earth with brainwave power.
"This avatar is so weak that it can’t even fully scan a thousand-kilometer radius."
Jia Yan shook his head in dismay. His true body, for comparison, could scan the entirety of Earth’s general status effortlessly, while the avatar’s brainwave power couldn’t extend to cover even a thousand kilometers.
However, that range was sufficient to survey the vicinity of the Jia Family Land and a significant portion of Huaxia’s territory.
"So this is how it is—Earth has truly transformed."
After taking a closer look, Jia Yan couldn’t help but sigh.
In just a few years, Earth had changed completely.
When he had left, Earth had been in the initial stages of assimilating personnel from the Ru Lan Empire and the Auster Empire—already a time of rapid transformation. Now, years later, Earth’s tremendous changes came as no surprise.
The Jia Family Land had seen minor transformations, such as increasingly advanced security measures and more dilapidated buildings. However, the outside world, including Return City, had undergone a massive overhaul. Spaceships soared high above cities—some heading for outer space, others cruising through Earth’s atmosphere.
Of course, these vessels, along with the battleships Jia Yan spotted occasionally, were like toys compared to the warships he’d seen in the Genius Battlefield. For Earth’s people, however, they represented miraculous advancements.
"I sensed a powerful brainwave force just now, but it’s out of my scanning range now."
Jia Yan once again focused on scanning meticulously but ultimately gave up. It appeared the brainwave user who had caused his reaction had exited his avatar’s detection range.
"It’s been quite a while since I’ve appeared openly. Seems like the perfect opportunity to visit family—so much has changed over the years."
Jia Yan chuckled softly, shaking his body so that the dirt on his clothing fell off like raindrops.
Then, his human form hovered off the ground and flew toward the Jia Family’s buildings beyond the woods.
Of course, during this journey, Jia Yan didn’t bother hiding his presence, quickly getting detected by the newly advanced probes!
"Who’s there?!"
A sudden shout came from a Sky Level entity, filled with power. The figure bolted rapidly forward like a shell fired from a cannon, arriving directly before Jia Yan—a seemingly imposing outsider.
"Ah... Lord!"
Upon seeing Jia Yan, the Sky Level early-stage figure gasped audibly, then immediately dropped to his knees in reverence.
Having personally witnessed Jia Yan before, this Sky Level individual instantly recognized the legendary figure before him—the Divine Spirit-like ’Lord Jia Yan,’ venerated across Earth.
He also knew the terrifying truth—that this Lord could eliminate him with a mere glance.
Naturally, his shock was accompanied by swift submission.
"No need for formalities; you’ve done your duty well," Jia Yan commented, nodding briefly before floating past the figure and heading directly toward a specific building in the Jia Family compound.
Inside the intelligence department monitoring this interaction via surveillance, personnel tasked with secretly safeguarding the Jia Family exchanged astonished glances.
Years had passed, and some newer recruits among this group had never imagined that an ordinary night would end with them witnessing the legendary, awe-inspiring figure of Jia Yan!
Jia Yan entered the house that belonged to his parents.
The Jia family had a tacit arrangement: each family branch lived separately, even within the Jia Family Mansion, to avoid interference in each other’s daily lives.
Coincidentally, Jia Lin and her two daughters were visiting Jia Yan’s parents tonight for a gathering.
