In the vast starry sky, a small fleet was streaking across the dark expanse at high speed.

Jia Yan and Tian Tesu were locked in discussion.

"We can’t go back to Tianhe Force. The BeiTuan Faction is trouble we can’t afford to provoke. If we return to Tianhe Force, it will spell problems for our forces."

Tian Tesu analyzed the situation for Jia Yan.

"But flying like this endlessly isn’t a solution either. Our target is too conspicuous, and the opposing force knows this starfield like the back of their hand—they are adept trackers here. What should we do?"

Jia Yan listened to Tian Tesu as he pondered ways to resolve the crisis, his own mind racing with thoughts.

Had Jia Yan known the enemy had such a powerful background during the previous battle, he might not have engaged at all. But now that the battle had already been fought, he wasn’t one to regret his choices.

"Sir Tian Tesu, I suggest this—let’s split up and scatter. Each battleship should take a separate route, then head to another faction to purchase new ships and return individually to Tianhe Force. That’s better than staying together as one large target." Jia Yan raised his head and proposed his idea.

"No way. You’re the one they likely have the strongest impression of. If you separate, your chances of being exposed are the highest," Tian Tesu replied, shaking his head in objection.

"That’s even better, actually. This whole mess was caused by me to begin with. Enough. Xiaoya will accompany the rest of you while I handle this myself. As you know, my space talent excels in escape; I have my own ways to evade their pursuit."

Once Jia Yan came up with his plan, he wasn’t willing to abandon it easily. After all, he had caused the trouble, so it was only right for him to take responsibility.

Without waiting for Tian Tesu’s further comments, Jia Yan promptly halted the battleship, stepped out with one of his forelegs, and entered subspace.

"Jia Yan... sigh."

Tian Tesu had wanted to call Jia Yan back, but his brainwave sensing power indicated that Jia Yan had vanished from inside the battleship.

"It seems his space talent really has improved significantly over the past year. He might actually stand a chance of escaping their pursuit. But... I was supposed to be his bodyguard, and now he’s the one protecting us?"

Tian Tesu felt a bit frustrated, though it didn’t affect Jia Yan’s determination.

In the subspace realm, Jia Yan zoomed forward swiftly.

Before him was a black sphere, moving forward through subspace with the help of several spatial stones, carving out a clear path amidst the turbulence.

Jia Yan followed closely behind the black sphere. The path being smoothed by its advance made his journey much easier.

"Looks like my method of simulating the spatial travel approach inspired by the Star Transmission Body turned out pretty well."

With this method, Jia Yan’s travel speed was not only comparable to that of standard battleships, but the primary consumption wasn’t even his own power—it relied instead on the spatial stones around the black sphere ahead.

That black sphere was none other than the black hole Jia Yan had brought to the Central Star Area.

During the earlier battle, Jia Yan had refrained from using it. Upon observing the Star Transmission Body, he had been inspired to focus on spatial stone calculations and modifications around the black hole.

Now the results were paying off: following the path created by the black hole allowed him to move forward with extraordinary speed.

"I’ll keep advancing this way, reach the next faction, see if I can purchase a battleship there, then return to Tianhe Force."

Jia Yan felt a tinge of regret. If only he had more spatial stones on hand, he’d be able to use this black hole-subspace method to traverse the Genius Battlefield with ease. But unfortunately, this method consumed spatial stones at an alarming rate.

As he continued onward, Jia Yan calculated that he had already put substantial distance between himself and Tian Tesu’s fleet.

While Jia Yan navigated right towards one faction, Tian Tesu and the other monsters headed left towards another.

This pattern of travel persisted for three days.

Gradually, the spatial stones controlling the black hole shifted from their original dark hue to a chaotic state, and the black hole’s speed started to slow down.

"Looks like these spatial stones are out of energy. Sigh."

Jia Yan was reluctant to take out his remaining supply to continue burning through them and decided to halt his subspace journey.

He stretched one of his forelegs forward.

Amidst the boundless starry sky, an entirely black creature suddenly jumped out from deep within the emptiness of space.

This was Jia Yan.

"Fortunately, I can already see the main stellar body of the nearby faction up ahead."

Jia Yan glanced at the massive distance of several billion kilometers, nodded, and began flying through the universe’s vacuum.

For Jia Yan, several billion kilometers was no longer an insurmountable distance. Alternating between flying with his physical strength and using subspace jumps to cover segments along the way, he closed the distance relatively quickly.

This marked perhaps the first time since his reincarnation that the Big Mosquito had undertaken such an ambitious act of traversing such a vast distance solely with his physical body in space.

This method of travel was far slower than using a battleship. His body’s speed was surpassed even by standard small battleships. Once he reached a certain acceleration limit, he couldn’t push further—but a battleship could.

Fortunately, Jia Yan could still enter subspace and use short bursts to significantly increase his speed before reverting to normal travel to conserve energy.

As Jia Yan approached the proximity of the faction’s stellar body, he spotted the first ship in sight.

It was unmistakably a non-combat cargo ship, lacking the acceleration capabilities to cross vast stellar distances, and confined to freighting within this small faction’s territory.

"Huh, just now, I think I saw a monster."

Onboard the cargo ship, a Supreme Monster operating the vessel said to their companion with surprise.

"Nonsense. We’re already at the edge of our faction. Who’d come here? Just get back to work—if we don’t complete this task, we might be sent home next time by the authorities."

The other monster replied grumpily.

It turned out these two were mere servant-level Supreme Monsters. Despite their intermediate talent, much like Xiaoya in Tianhe Force, without any distinctive combat talent, they were relegated to servant roles in the Central Star Area factions—and needed to perform well to avoid being sent back to their original external forces.

"No, seriously! I really saw a monster! It’s coming!"

The previously startled Supreme Monster fixed their gaze on a corner of the starry sky and shouted to their companion.

At this remote fringe of their faction, seeing even one interstellar battleship over several days was a rarity—let alone a monster flying alone in this desolate stretch of space, which would normally take an enormous amount of time to traverse.

"Impossible... wait, actually... there really is one."

The other monster, doubtful at first, glanced upwards—and was suddenly taken aback upon spotting the rapidly approaching figure.

"Hello, I’m a stranded traveler in the starry sky. My battleship malfunctioned and was destroyed earlier. I’ve managed to reach this place—can you help me out?"

The newcomer was a black monster that seemed to be at the Supreme level. He bore beautiful wings and a long, slender mouthpart that looked capable of easily piercing steel.

No matter his formidable appearance, being Supreme level put him well within the capability of the cargo ship’s two resident Supreme Monsters to handle.

Supreme level alone wasn’t enough to intimidate them. If trouble arose, the ship’s weaponry could easily deal with him!

"A stranded traveler? He’s just Supreme level, and he doesn’t seem to have anything else on him. He might actually be telling the truth. Should we help him?"

One of the monsters hesitated.

"Let’s do it. It’s tough for us Supremes to survive in the Central Star Area. Remember, last time I bought a second-hand battleship, and it exploded in space soon after. I had to wait three months before someone kindly rescued me. Now it’s my turn to show kindness."

After some deliberation, the two Supreme Monsters opened the cargo ship’s doors.

The black-winged monster flew inside.

"Brother, we’re helping you out—but don’t try anything funny with us." The two Supreme Monsters, wary of deception in space, warned the newcomer.

"Haha, I wouldn’t do anything of the sort. Thank you for saving me; I’ll offer a reward once we reach the inhabited star."

The black monster’s words triggered a glance between the two Supremes at his empty-looking body. They had no idea how he could offer any reward and merely chuckled wryly.

"You said your battleship exploded—was it a second-hand one? Sigh, I must say, second-hand ship merchants are truly dishonest. I spent three years’ wages on a second-hand ship, only for it to blow up after three days. If I hadn’t escaped quickly, I could’ve died in the explosion."

As the black monster settled into the ship, its operations resumed, filling the space with loud racket.

"Haha, indeed, second-hand battleships can be unreliable."

The black monster was, of course, Jia Yan. Flying solo across the starry sky had left him exhausted. Seeing the cargo ship crewed by only two Supreme Monsters reassured him there wasn’t much risk, hence he took the opportunity to board and rest.

"After my last experience with buying junk, I’ve gained quite a bit of knowledge now. If you’re looking for second-hand ships, go to ’Honghong Second-Hand Ship Dealer’ in our faction—they’re trustworthy. Brother, I recommend you check it out when you can afford it."

Jia Yan listened to the advice, responding casually while simultaneously planning his next steps.

"Second-hand battleships, huh? Could be a good choice; otherwise, traveling solo is just too exhausting." Jia Yan started considering the option of purchasing a second-hand ship.

Through their discussion, Jia Yan gleaned that the faction he was headed towards was called the Star Man Faction—a medium-strength force stronger than Tianhe Force.

He lied about being a servant from one of the small stellar bodies within the Star Man Faction. The two Supreme Monsters didn’t question him, as there were simply too many stellar bodies within the faction for them to know all their names.

With Jia Yan’s deliberate maneuvering, the three quickly bonded as brothers in camaraderie.
