"Oh, I see. My apologies for being rude. I was surprised. Thank you for clarifying," Arabella quickly corrected her behavior.

After all, as far as she knew, the Pope was said to have never gotten married even in her past life.

There were rumors saying the Pope was forbidden by the gods to get married which was why he never did.

It was why Arabella was shocked when the Pope suddenly called his successor as his daughter.

"It’s alright. This isn’t the first time I got this reaction. Haha," the Pope simply laughed it off. "We call her Sandra."

It was clear he did not mind it all.

Meanwhile, his paladins were clearly bothered by the fact the Pope was relaxed about such misunderstandings happening.

"Greetings to Your Majesties, I am Cassandra Esperanza," Sandra introduced herself since the Pope introduced her only by her nickname.

The Esperanza family was said to be the only source of everyone who became the Pope. Rumors said that all Popes came from the Esperanza family in Medeus.

Arabella once thought the same.

However, she learned from Alwin and Ferdinand that the Pope had always been one and the same ever since the Great War.

They had only been pretending that the Pope changed every few decades so the people wouldn’t think he was suspicious.

But with the Pope training Cassandra, it meant he would indeed vacate his seat in the future.

[Father said this is a very important meeting since I must see Valeria and meet with the long-lived races. Everyone from their side has monstrous amounts of mana and feels like one, even Her Majesty. I thought she was human though. I’ve seen her in Medeus several times.]

"Nice to meet you, Lady Cassandra," Arabella smiled.

’Did she mean I have a lot of mana or simply that my presence felt like someone from the long-lived races?’

Arabella understood though why being mistaken as someone from the long-lived races due to her presence since Alvis himself mistook her as Ferdinand’s human form back in Estrella.

It was because of all the mana Ferdinand had been giving her.

’I never encountered her in Medeus before though. Did she just see me from afar?’

Even in her past life, Arabella does not recall Cassandra becoming the Pope. As far as Arabella could recall, the Pope remained the same until her death.

Perhaps it meant Cassandra would also receive the god’s blessings and live a long life like the Pope did.

Thus, the time Cassandra replaces the Pope might be after several more decades. Especially since from the thought of Ferdinand and Raymond, it seems Cassandra is not yet ready for the task.

Just as Sandra and the paladins stood behind the Pope, Raymond stood a few steps behind Arabella and Ferdinand.

Meanwhile, Riley served tea and refreshments from a food trolley that appeared on their right.

[Someone with this much mana is just serving tea?!]

The paladins were shocked that it was Riley serving tea.

Riley was used to this task though since he personally takes care of Alwin’s needs.

Alfredo could also do this task but he was the one who was preparing the food sent here through a teleportation magic circle they had prepared in advance.

[Is this a normal thing here? They just used teleportation for food instead of having someone deliver it here?]

The paladins were surprised once again since teleportation was used for something that other people could have easily done.

Cassandra noticed the room was imbued with spells as she glanced around the room.

[We thought they were being lax but they have actually brought us into a room we won’t be able to get out of without their permission! Amazing!

Cassandra was awed as she further looked around and noticed the intricacy of this room.

According to Riley, this room was made by Alwin all on his own though.

In Arabella’s past life, this room did not exist since according to Alwin, the Magic Tower is nothing but a tall building if all the magical technology was removed.

When Alwin went away to his long mission, he deactivated it since no one would maintain it.

By then, their companions had returned home and Alwin was also set to return to Estrella as well after his mission was completed.

It was why Arabella and Dimo were able to use the Magic Tower like a normal building.

However, now, all of Alwin’s spells were functioning which made the Magic Tower truly a place of magic filled with complexities.

If Cassandra wanted to create something like this room, then it’s Alwin she must consult.

[Why is Father so calm about this?

Is it because he’s sure they are not going to harm us?

What if they decide to trap us here?
