Chapter 900: Chapter 900: Still Live Their Daily Lives

Thus, regardless of what people might think, Arabella ate a lot that night.

After their meal, Arabella leaned back against the seat, content and likewise feeling sleepy.

"I think I ate a bit too much," Arabella sighed as she gently rubbed their belly.

Ferdinand glanced at the plates she managed to clean and smiled.

"That’s perfectly fine."

[It’s good to see her eat more than usual. If only she ate like this all the time, I wouldn’t have to worry about her health.]

’No, eating like this all the time is also not good for my health,’ Arabella contradicted in her mind, but didn’t say it out loud.

She yawned as she felt sleepy once again.

"I know you’re tired. But you shouldn’t sleep yet right after eating. Should we take a walk so you won’t fall asleep?"

"Oh, right! I promised to visit Alwin after work," Arabella recalled telling Blanca about it.

"Shall we go together then? I also planned on visiting him."

Ferdinand rose and walked to her side, offering his hand to help her up.

’Perfect! Alwin will once again absorb some of Ferdinand’s mana. Hehe,’ Arabella smirked.

The sooner Alwin recovered, the better after all.

They then walked together to the Magic Tower to help digest the food they had eaten.

It was a slow and leisurely walk while holding hands.

’This somehow feels like a date,’ Arabella thought.

It was nice to have moments like this despite all the problems they needed to deal with right now.

After all, the problems they needed to address would probably never end with a vast Empire like Valeria.

Even if they solve a problem in one territory, more would likely pop up in another territory.

If they would constantly deal with problems anyway, then it is indeed better to still live their daily lives and set aside time for each other, even if they have a lot of work to do.

"What’s on your mind?" Ferdinand stood in front of her and walked backwards so he could look her in the eye.

"I just thought it’s nice to have a stroll like this again. It’s been a while since the last one," Arabella honestly said.

"Ah, yes, indeed," Ferdinand smiled.

[Years ago, I never once thought walking with someone was a leisure activity. But now, times like these have become moments I dearly cherish.]

’Me too,’ Arabella internally agreed.

After she learned the truth of her past life, she thought she would only be busy trying to make up for everything she had done wrong.

Who knew she would come to truly love Ferdinand again and enjoy simple but wonderful moments like this with him?

Things had greatly improved compared to her past life.

And after getting to enjoy times like this with Ferdinand, perhaps she had gotten somewhat relaxed and thought the future had already changed.

But after the voice she heard in her mind this afternoon, she wasn’t so sure anymore.

There’s still a chance the past could happen again, so she still needed to be careful and on alert.

She still needed to make as many changes as possible to ensure the past won’t happen again, and yet, her partner in crime is still out of commission.

Arabella noted to inform Alwin about what happened this afternoon once he was awake.

She wanted to know as well what Alwin’s thoughts on the matter were.

Why would being honest with Ferdinand now make it possible for what happened in their past life to happen again?

Arabella was already sure Ferdinand could accept her. He was already very understanding, even now.

So why was she stopped from telling him?

’Could be part of the deal he had with the gods?’

Arabella recalled what Alwin told her.

The gods gave Ferdinand some kind of trial, and they agreed to a deal before it began.

’Yes, that must be it,’ Arabella concluded.

After all, looking at Ferdinand now and recalling all the words of assurance he had told her, she knew he truly would understand and still accept her.

Ferdinand loved her this much. And she’s deeply grateful for it.

Thus, she would ensure that they would not have another tragic end.

"Let’s stay together until the end of our lives," Arabella said with an internal promise to do her best for their future.

"Yes, of course!" Ferdinand beamed.

Somehow, their walk felt too short.

It used to be tiring and hurt her feet to walk to and from the Magic Tower, and yet, they reached Alwin’s room before she knew it.

"Shall we?" Ferdinand said. He opened the door once Arabella nodded.

"Your Majesty!" Dimo’s delighted voice greeted their ears first.

"Dimo!" Arabella smiled at the child who beamed brightly upon seeing her.

Dimo rushed to hug her, and she caught him in her arms.

This little child taught her so much in her past life. She couldn’t be more grateful for all of it.

"Why are you still awake? You should be sleeping by now," Arabella said to the child whose mood had clearly improved.

"I waited for Your Majesty to come here. Hehe," Dimo giggled.

"He insisted on waiting even when I told him to go to sleep," Blanca explained, since she was the one who told Dimo that Arabella said she would come after work.

"Oh my. I’m sorry I took too long. I got busy with work and forgot about the time," Arabella gently caressed Dimo’s cheek.

He looked rather sleepy, but he still waited for her.

"Master is doing better today. He’s no longer pale," Dimo delivered the news.

He held Arabella’s hand and led her to Alwin’s bed.

Ferdinand, who was holding her other hand, followed as well.

Arabella glanced at Alwin, and he indeed had a better complexion now. He was visibly in better health.

It was no wonder Dimo was in a good mood.

[It seems the mana he absorbed yesterday helped him recover... Oh, he’s absorbing more mana this time! His body sure knows what’s good for him, while he himself does not. Go on, absorb as much as you want...] Ferdinand thought.

’Ferdinand actually knows about it. Haha,’ Arabella internally chuckled.
