Chapter 787: Chapter 787: Plans and Strategy Meeting

[It feels so good when she compliments me.] Ferdinand squeezed her hand.

They enjoyed a warm meal together and rested for a bit before heading to the meeting room for further discussions about the war with Crux.

Everyone was already gathered in the meeting room when they arrived: the Head Ministers of National Security and Defense, the Grand Knight Commander, Raymond, and the Great Elders.

Arabella was surprised the Great Elders were here.

She already knew that Ferdinand was actually older than they were but seeing the three Great Elders still made her tense because in her past life, she thought Ferdinand had to obey them whenever they said something.

[Why is she tensing up all of a sudden? The three being here makes her nervous?] Ferdinand noticed her reaction.

He squeezed her hand and communicated telepathically.

{Don’t worry. They are only here to listen to the plans. They must have been surprised when they heard we would be taking Crux as part of Valeria. Their children who attended the Court Session must have reported it.}

The Grand Knight Commander was also a son of Great Elder Maximus but since he received the order to keep the meeting with Princess Seraphina and the anti-slavery faction a secret, he did not inform even his father.

{I see. I was just surprised by their presence.} Arabella was relieved they were not here to really participate in the discussion.

They were the Overseer’s people so she knew Ferdinand had to listen to them if they were given instructions from him.

Thankfully, they were simply here to know the details why they suddenly wanted to add Crux to the territory instead of just leaving them be after the war.

The meeting then began and they discussed for hours about their specific plans for the war.

To ensure the safety of their people, the mages from the Magic Tower would be led by Riley.

They would infiltrate the locations the anti-slavery faction provided and teleport all the remaining Prudencians back to the Magic Tower before the King of Crux receives Ferdinand’s reply and declaration of war.

It was to prevent the Prundencians from getting killed as a result of the declaration or being forced to dress as soldiers of Crux and joining the army.

Arabella, Alwin, and Raymond would be in the Magic Tower monitoring how many Prudencians they were able to get and tend to their wounds and feed them.

Alfredo and all their palace chefs would be preparing a lot of meals on that day and Arabella’s maids and assistants would be there to help in distributing food.

Ferdinand and Raymond’s assistants would also be there doing the same since the other magicians are also busy in Sibruh and the territories afflicted with the plant disease and pests.

Their magicians were actually divided so even Dimo and Blanca might help in healing if necessary, especially on the day of the attack when Alwin might be drained from mass teleportation.

Arabella hoped Dimo would not have to be involved though since they do not know the state the Prudencians would be in. Dimo might see something too traumatizing for a child so she hoped they would not need to have him help.

Raymond and Rendell could supply Alwin with their mana but they have to remain in good condition in case there was an attack in the capital while they were busy since Ferdinand would be in Sibruh at that time.

After all, on the day of the attack, Alwin would go to the battlefield for a bit while Zion guards Arabella with Rendell.

After Alwin does his part and leaves, Zion would be with the knights as they attack Crux to prevent any casualties from their side. It was also in case the Crux nobles had hired magicians to aid them.

As agreed with Princess Seraphina and the anti-slavery faction, all the slaves that were forced to join the army would gather on one side, likely the frontline since they would be used as meat shields.

They would be given a mark on their helmets by Jacob and Emily so Valeria’s side would know them.

Alwin would then teleport all those who had the mark out of the battlefield to a safe space in the Alba Household’s estate so they would not be killed on the battlefield. Meanwhile, the Alba household had readied their knights to kill or capture anyone who pretends to be part of the slave army but were actually from the pro-slavery faction.

This move would shock and demoralize Crux’s army when they see a great number of the people in the frontlines vanish in an instant.

The Grand Knight Commander would then give them a chance to surrender.

Anyone who wishes not to participate in the war anymore and surrenders on the spot would not be killed and be teleported by Alwin to a secure and fully guarded space in the Marquess Heron’s Residence (the ally of the pro-slavery faction).

They would be teleported to another estate so that in case they were merely pretending to surrender so they would know where all those that vanished went, they would be dealt with immediately.

Alwin would then return to Valeria to rest after the mass teleportation. Zion would then go to the battlefield next.

Rendell would guard Arabella while Raymond would watch how everything progresses and act when necessary.

While the war is ongoing, the magicians would continue searching for any remaining Prudencians in Crux.

After defeating the Crux army, the knights would also search every house in Crux for any more hidden Prudencians.

Allies of the anti-slavery faction would tie a green handkerchief on their arms and open their doors to let their houses and properties be searched by Valerian knights without any issues.

The pro-slavery faction would likely be the once who try to keep their pride but would have no choice but let their properties be searched or they face the consequences.

Any household found to have hidden Prudencians would be in house arrest while the Household Head would be captured.
