Arabella wanted to punish him for making her wait after all this time. Instead, she couldn’t stop herself from falling for the bait.

She closed the distance between them and captured his lips before he could kiss her.

She didn’t regret it as she loved the groan of pleasure, yet likewise, a complaint deep from his throat for driving his patience to the edge.

Ferdinand kissed her back filled with eagerness but coupled with an effort to hold back, so he wouldn’t ravage her as he pleased. He was trying to take his time and be gentle with her.

The rustling of leaves, the flow of the spring, and every sound there was, faded into the background as their lips kept interlocking; tenderly, and lazily, savoring each other now that they finally had the chance to do so after more than two months.

Time seemed to slow down, and the world seemed to exist just for them as they focused on each other and every sensation each light touch made them feel.

And yet, it wasn’t enough.

They needed more.

Arabella pulled him closer. She missed him way too much. And she realized just how much she had been dying for this.

Not having him around her the past months made her feel lonely and incomplete no matter how she focused on work.

Now that he returned, it was as if a missing piece of her existence finally returned to her, and she could finally function whole again.

Since when did he become this important to her?

She no longer knew and didn’t care.

All she wanted right now was to revel in his beloved presence.

’I missed you so much,’ Arabella thought as she held him.

No words were enough to express just how much she missed him while he was away. Just how worried and lonely she was.

Him being absent from her daily life for two months had been so much more difficult than she thought. And right now, she was dying to make up for the time they were not together.

And it was as if Ferdinand heard her and fully understood her thoughts.

He held her tighter, kissing her in assurance, his actions telling her that he missed her too. And that he was dying to make up for that lost time as much if not more than she did.

Arabella was delighted and responded in turn. She made him feel just how much she longed for him, and he did the same.

It evolved into something fiery in every second that passed as their passion and hunger intensified so much more than they already were.

Until their kisses were no longer enough to quench everything.

Their overflowing feelings grew so much stronger, and they could no longer contain their passion for each other. They needed something more intense. They needed to be closer and more entangled than they already were.

Their hands moved as they kissed as if it would help douse the consuming fire. And yet, it only fueled their passion even more.

Arabella no longer knew who undressed whom, but very soon, they were touching each other’s nakedness under the moonlight.

They gazed into each other’s eyes and they both mirrored the other’s expression.

The invisible force drawing them closer grew stronger than ever before like it was at its peak. It was as if even being just an inch apart was unbearable.

Their lips locked once again as they surrendered to the irresistible pull, they had for each other.

This time, hungrier. Wilder. And hotter.

Ferdinand gulped at those words. His eyes were blazing as he kissed her hungrily, teasing her wet folds in the process.

"You’re already this wet? And it’s wrapping tightly, not allowing my finger to pull out," Ferdinand gulped.
