Chapter 597: Their Secret Place

Arabella wondered what he meant and understood why once the clouds that shaded the moon for a bit finally passed by.

As the moonlight struck the close buds, they began to open. Even their leaves looked livelier.

"So beautiful!" Arabella gasped as the flowers blossomed one after the other as the moon shone on them like an awakening spell.

It was a magical sight to behold the buds open to full bloom until each flower unfolded its delicate beauty. Gorgeous blossoms with their ethereal silvery white hue, unfurled like newly born celestial beings.

The freshly opened flowers had their petals shimmering in the moonlight due to dew droplets they had stored up while they were close.

Arabella glanced at Ferdinand, his silver hair shimmering in the moonlight. These flowers somehow remind her of him.

Ferdinand felt her gaze and asked, "Did you like it?"

His emerald orbs looked especially dazzling and intoxicating tonight. How could he make her fall for him even more?

"W-Was it not to your liking?" Ferdinand asked nervously due to her silence.

Earlier, he looked so confident she would have loved it. But after she didn’t reply immediately, he visibly became nervous.

Arabella smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck, slid her hand to the back of his head, and let her fingers slowly comb through his locks.

Ferdinand gulped and his body involuntarily tensed up and shuddered at her actions.

"I love it. Thank you for planting them and showing them to me," Arabella lovingly kissed him.

She hoped he would feel how grateful and happy she was to him doing these things for her.

Ferdinand’s eyes lit up. He smiled and kissed her. The gentle glow of his eyes when he looked at her was even more vivid tonight.

When he pulled away, he cupped her face and just gazed at her. She gulped and did the same. His eyes were so beautiful tonight that she would do anything to keep looking at them.

And this location had such a great contribution for them to reach this point in their relationship.

Arabella somehow felt that this isolated mansion would be a sanctuary of their love. It was the first place they got intimate in and helped them to open up more with each other in this life.

It was nice to be here after they hadn’t met in months.

"Arabella..." Ferdinand pronounced her name like some kind of promise.

The way he said it made her shiver.

Ferdinand pulled her close to his body, making her feel the warmth and eagerness he was feeling. The bulge on his crotch pressed against her belly.

"Can we do it, here?" his eyes begged.

She never thought about it before, but wouldn’t it be wonderful indeed to do it amidst the blossom of flowers she so loved very much?

The cold air was infused with the intoxicating scents of the flowers around them. And somehow, their sweet scent made her more eager to be intimate with Ferdinand right here.

Add the moonlight and the starry sky that seemed to approve of their intimate plans. Everything was simply perfect.

Arabella had been quite reserved about this before, but maybe, doing it outdoors like this once in a while wasn’t so bad after all.

This place is their secret haven indeed. A place where they could just be themselves and do as they please.

"Yes," Arabella smiled, giving her approval.

She gasped when he moved so quickly the next instant. All of a sudden, she was lying down, and her back was pressed against something soft.

Ferdinand had made a mattress on top of the grass so she would not feel uncomfortable while they do it.

"Arabella," Ferdinand called out her name filled with so much emotion, as if asking for her attention to be solely on him.

Their gazes met, and everything else faded into the background.

She could drown in his gaze like this, and she would willingly do so. She could feel his desire, affection, longing, and a sense of vulnerability and fear.

He wasn’t the only one who had been thinking that she might be falling for him too much.

Ferdinand also had his fears. His thoughts revealed how scared he was to lose her and her affection.

That maybe, he should stop himself from falling for her too much. And yet, he couldn’t stop himself from falling deeper and deeper. So instead, he wanted to please her and ensure her affection would never leave him.

Arabella fully understood because she had the same fears. And she was relieved that she wasn’t the only one who had it despite how much their relationship had improved.

It meant they cherished each other that much for them to have this kind of fear. And it made them long and crave for each other even more.

"Ferdinand," Arabella said his name too, and cupped his face. He leaned into her gentle touch and closed his eyes, reveling in it.

But soon, he tilted his face and kissed her palm. His emerald orbs opened and the look in his eyes gave her shudders.

She couldn’t look away from the intensity of his gaze. Her heart raced as she waited and observed his every move.

His eyes darted to her lips, and he gulped. He looked parched and ready to have his fill.

Arabella unconsciously licked her lips and gulped as well. Her throat was suddenly dry. And the tension in the air was so strong. Their longing for each other was getting stronger by the minute.

Ferdinand leaned in but stopped just a few inches away as if waiting for her to say it was alright to begin now.

Or was he teasing her?

Testing just how much she missed him?

Ferdinand just gazed at her. And yet, their breathing synced, and both became heavier like the tension building up in the air.

Arabella wanted to punish him for making her wait after all this time. Instead, she couldn’t stop herself from falling for the bait.
