Chapter 446: Where Is He Now?
Chapter 446: Where Is He Now?
Eleanor was living such a peaceful life. She just wanted to get married with her betrothed and have children. Yet it ended because of Ferdinand and the fire dragon.
"Ferdinand! Where are you?!" Arabella screamed in frustration and her husband appeared beside the bed the next second.
"What’s wrong?! Are you in pain? Did something happen?" Ferdinand asked in alarm.
Arabella quickly told him what she dreamed about hoping it didn’t really happen. Ferdinand tried to deny it at first and said that he couldn’t remember but she could hear his thoughts, so she knew he was lying.
It had left his mind since it was a long time ago but he recalled when she told him about her dream. He didn’t want to admit it because he didn’t want to look bad to her but it did happen.
Ferdinand had no choice but to admit it happened since she heard his thoughts anyway.
"What happened after that? What happened to her fiancé?" Arabella inquired.
"The water dragon at least fixed her body so she would look like her original appearance instead of having burn marks. Then, we returned her body to the elves since they have a special ritual for their dead," Ferdinand began with a glum expression. It wasn’t a nice memory for him either.
The water dragon went with them and the three of them apologized to the elves. To atone for their crime, Ferdinand and the fire dragon were to protect Eleanor’s village for several thousand years. Of course, that meant listening to her people’s grudges and anger for a long time.
Still, Eleanor’s fiancé and family were so furious that they fought with the fire dragon for a while. The latter received the beatings without putting up a fight because he had also admitted to having caused the incident. Ferdinand voluntarily accepted beatings from her family too.
Eleanor’s death was concluded as the fire dragon’s fault since he was the one who abducted her and brought her to the rocky mountain range and provoked Ferdinand into a fight.
However, Ferdinand felt heavily responsible because he thought everything was his fault for showing interest in Eleanor. He did not approach anyone after even when the fire dragon swore not to do that again.
Arabella learned that even when Ferdinand could not yet use a humanoid form yet, he had never gotten along with the fire dragon. They always clashed whenever they met, and it was the same even when they were both able to use a humanoid form. As time went by, when the fire dragon was bored and had nothing else to do, he would go pick fights with Ferdinand.
Ferdinand was fine with it since fighting with the fire dragon showed his weaknesses and thus, he was able to do something about them and got stronger. However, the fire dragon wanted to fight a bit too much for Ferdinand’s taste so he simply ignored the latter sometimes no matter what he did.
The fire dragon hated being ignored so at that time, he used Eleanor as bait for Ferdinand and it ended up in a tragedy.
"Where is the fire dragon now? He is a primordial too, right?" Arabella noted to be wary of that dragon.
"Ah, he is in hibernation. He said he would never wake up again. He was one of those who were rejected by their mates," Ferdinand clarified.
Arabella didn’t comment anymore since he was still Ferdinand’s brother.

Since not giving Arabella mana did not work, that night, when they consummated, Ferdinand didn’t bite her to check it was what triggered her to have a glimpse of his memories.
However, Arabella still had more dreams even when Ferdinand did not bite her or give her any of his mana. They realized that her dreams were not triggered by it.
A week of consummating with Ferdinand and Arabella had glimpses of the past seven times. She had seen seven different lives she lived before. She encountered Ferdinand in all of them. And in those seven lives, she always died because she got entangled with Ferdinand.
After the incident with Eleanor, even when Ferdinand sensed a presence that was like her, Ellie, or Ara, he never approached them. However, he always ended up encountering her and she always died in a way related to him.
Thus, after her dream about Eleanor, Arabella no longer told Ferdinand her following dreams since it would only make him feel guilty and burdened. He was also beginning to worry that Arabella’s image of him was getting worse by the day. Thus, she didn’t want him to know she kept getting glimpses of the past.
But Ferdinand noticed anyway so she told him she would tell him once she stops getting dreams about the past and he agreed to wait.
On the eighth day, he did not consummate with her trying to check if it was the cause of her dreams. But Arabella still had a dream. So, they continued consummating as planned as they tried to figure out what was causing it.
Ferdinand had begun to suspect that someone could be letting her get a glimpse of his past intentionally. He thought it could be the god of dreams, but he could not think of a reason for the god of dreams to do such a thing.
Two weeks passed since they headed to Estrella and Arabella began getting worried once she was supposed to sleep.
She had watched herself die 14 times and it wasn’t a pretty sight. She might just get crazy at this rate. Especially since all her deaths were related to her beloved husband in some way. It was almost as if someone was telling her that her current relationship with Ferdinand would also end in her death.
