As the older among the two, Alwin of course felt guilty for ruining the future of someone so young.

After all, Alwin was not usually as moody and as critical as he was when he’s with Arabella. He was actually honorable and gentlemanly. He was just biased when it comes to Arabella because of his memories of the past.

Arabella just kept forgetting he used to be kind to her too because of his negative thoughts and rude comments about her in this life.

"Umm, won’t you reconsider? Blanca is really pretty, kind, and gentle. She’s not usually like this. It must truly be because of sleeping for too long. She must be eager to be able to roam the skies and explore again," Esmeralda tried to persuade Alwin on Blanca’s behalf.

"No way. She’s still a kid even if she’s 1200 years old. Moreover, I just healed her wings," Alwin didn’t budge. "If I had known she was of marriageable age, I wouldn’t have touched her wings."

{Waahh!! He’s looking down on me just because I’m helpless. Even though he ruined my future, he doesn’t care at all. Maybe I should report to Her Majesty in Estrella. Her Majesty won’t forgive sexual assault.} Blanca cried and was threatening Alwin now.

"Sexual assault?! I know I touched your wings but that wasn’t my intention."

Esmeralda kindly explained to Arabella what the conversations were about, thinking that she was not following what was going on because of the telepathy on Blanca’s part. She just omitted the part about Estrella.

{Even so. I can’t get married anymore because of you. And touching me that long still counts as sexual assault! I heard Her Majesty used to favor my mother. I will report you to the authorities so Her Majesty can punish you!}

Alwin paled when Blanca asked to be brought to Estrella this instant so she could report Alwin to the authorities.

[NO! I can’t be reported for something as low as sexual assault. Never in my life did I even think of assaulting a lady. My reputation would go downhill if I get sued for sexual assault. I would also tarnish my lord’s reputation for keeping me by his side. I have to settle this here.]

"W-wait. Let’s talk about this. There should be a way to settle this peacefully," Alwin’s voice turned softer to try to convince Blanca.

{Then, you are my fiancé now, right?}

Blanca kept on insisting for them to be engaged now no matter how many times Alwin tried to tell her she could just say the words of rejection and in exchange, he would give her some more of his mana to help her recover.

However, Blanca was deaf to Alwin’s words.

Arabella thus, surmised that Blanca had indeed taken a liking to Alwin and didn’t want to let him go when she had this rare chance to make him her husband.

"Your Majesty, she keeps on insisting she’s my fiancé now," Alwin glanced at Ferdinand for help.

But what he got was...

"Hm? Why not? You are of marriageable age too. It’s about time you get married as well," Ferdinand wasn’t any help at all. Rather, he just gave his approval so easily.

Alwin was petrified and almost looked like he would fade away any second.

’Ferdinand is so mean. How can he abandon Alwin at such a crucial time? Geez. Alwin, why are you so loyal to a person who leaves you in the air like this?’ she wanted to scold the two.

Arabella felt bad for Alwin so she decided to try helping.

"My Dear, how could you say that so easily? Alwin is always helping us around. If he gets married, wouldn’t he be busy with his family and not be on call anytime," Arabella pointed out.

[Is she helping me?] Alwin gained some color back. He was wary that Arabella was helping him for some ulterior motive but he had no choice or else he would have to be Blanca’s husband.

"Hmm. Is that so? I can always call on the others instead," Ferdinand was heartless and didn’t get the situation at all. He couldn’t perceive Alwin was avoiding marriage just so he could be by his side any time.

’Seriously? Isn’t Alwin’s loyalty and dedication getting wasted and not maximized if Ferdinand doesn’t recognize it?’

[Raymond had been saying Alwin needs to get married soon. Isn’t this a good opportunity?]

’HUH?! So Raymond was the culprit?’ Arabella wanted to facepalm. ’Poor Alwin. His elders are just planning his marriage without thinking about what he wants.’

Alwin didn’t seem to have to be in a political marriage since Ferdinand was fine with him marrying Blanca whom he just met today.

Thus, since Alwin doesn’t have to be in a political marriage, they could at least let him choose whom and when to marry. They shouldn’t decide so randomly like this. It was so sudden and unexpected so Arabella understood Alwin’s distress and desperation to get out of this situation.

Moreover, if Alwin was considered a rare genius even in Estrella due to his magical abilities, there were probably a lot of ladies willing to marry him even if he took his time.

Ferdinand and Raymond shouldn’t make Alwin get married just because they thought it was time when Alwin himself was not at all prepared for it.

"Dear, isn’t Alwin the most powerful mage? We haven’t maximized his abilities yet. Wouldn’t it be better to let him work while he wants to keep working? Moreover, I wasn’t done bullying him yet. I still have a lot of things to make him do. I would feel bad imposing on him when once he has a family of his own," Arabella tried to convince her husband.

Alwin remained silent since he knew Ferdinand listens to Arabella’s words more than his now.

[But what does bullying me more mean?] Alwin tilted his head in wonder but he had no choice but to keep relying on Arabella for now. It was still far better getting bullied by her than getting married so suddenly.
