Chapter 1001: Shall We Bath Together?

Chapter 1001: Chapter 1001: Shall We Bath Together?

He wanted her to take a break, probably because of what happened today in Sibruh.

Ferdinand looked like he wouldn’t back down.

’I think it’s better to do as he says, so he won’t keep worrying.’

"Alright. I’ll clear my schedule. What time will you bring me to see some bears then?"

Arabella asked for more details so she knew what to tell her assistants and maids and how to adjust her schedule.

"We will go when you’re ready.

It’ll be just for an hour, so no need to worry and take ample rest.

Most bears have likely begun hibernating in parts where snow has begun to fall heavily, so we will go in areas where winter hasn’t begun yet," Ferdinand explained.

[I’ll send someone to scout early tomorrow. I’d like to show her different kinds of bears.]

It was a weird date, but Ferdinand was serious about it, and Arabella was genuinely curious.

She wanted to see real live bears at least once.

After all, what she had seen was only the displayed hide of a hunted bear in one of the noble houses she had seen in the past.

That in itself was already an unnerving experience, so she wondered just how much scarier seeing live ones was.

She could rest assured, though, with Ferdinand and likely Alwin and Rendell accompanying them.

"I see. Then, I’ll leave the preparations to you," Arabella let Ferdinand take care of it since he was the one who suggested it anyway.

"Oh, and I saw the bracelet and hairpin I gave you two years ago," Arabella added when she recalled it.

She also realized that some of her current jewelry here resembled these two, and other things she had worn the times she was with them as they travelled back to Lobelius, and during the engagement period when she officially met Ferdinand for the first time.

It was probably because Ferdinand and the others asked the jewelers to make them resemble the ones they had seen her wear and add a unique touch to them.

No wonder some of her jewelry and hairpins seemed familiar.

"Ah, yes. I kept those." Ferdinand was the one blushing this time.

"You had some of my jewelry and hair ornaments patterned from them, right?"

[She noticed?!]

"Y-Yes. I told them to make each piece different and have an original touch, though," Ferdinand explained.

"Yes, none of them were exact copies. I just noticed that there were some recurring styles, and I realized why after seeing the bracelet and hairpin again."

"I’ll have them make new ones if you don’t like those," Ferdinand thought she did not like having a repetitive design and style.

"No, you don’t have to. All of them looked nice and pretty. I like them all," Arabella assured him before he ended up asking another jeweler to make more.

She already has a lot.

They continued their meal, chatting about random things, and ended up agreeing to also visit a territory near the southern part of Valeria that happens to have their

When their dinner was over, Arabella wrote a letter for her assistants informing them that she wouldn’t be with them at Sibruh tomorrow.

Eunice was in charge of handing it to them tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Aletha and the others were in charge of preparations for her schedule tomorrow.

Two hours after their meal, it was time to take a bath, but Arabella was still in Ferdinand’s room.

"Shall we take a bath together?" Ferdinand invited.

"In your crazy wide bath? No way," Arabella immediately rejected.

"But we won’t fit together in your bath. It’s shallow. And the tub was made for your size. The water is crystal clear, too. Maybe you can try like the time we had in Estrella. I’ll be with you, too," Ferdinand pointed out.

Arabella thought about it and debated with herself for a bit, but concluded he was right. Further, there’s no way her overprotective husband would let her drown.

"Alright. Let’s bathe together. But please help me get out if I freeze up," Arabella asked.

"Of course. Your safety has always been my priority. Who knows, maybe learning how to swim can help you get over your fears."

Ferdinand held her hand as they walked to his bath.

Arabella still froze when they were by the door, though. She took a deep breath before they continued inside.

The water was drained, and it was being refilled again.

Ferdinand’s butlers likely came in from the other entrance and prepared it while they were having a meal together.

Ferdinand locked the doors and communicated with someone through magic to tell his butlers not to enter his bath or room until he says they can.

"I’ll fill the water only up to your neck, so no need to fret," Ferdinand said.

"Alright. I think that’s better," Arabella immediately agreed.

They have a great height difference, and the bath was even deeper than his height, so filling it only up to her neck was better.

She wouldn’t have to fear drowning if that were the case.

"Then, let me help you undress," Ferdinand said and grinned as she raised a brow at him.

’Did he plan this?’

She was the one who asked to come to his room, but she did not have anything in mind.

But now that they were in his bath together and would be naked together, she already knew what might happen.

’I guess it’s fine. It’s been a while since we last did it. He must have been holding back all this time. And I miss him too.’

Arabella let him do away with her clothes.

Ferdinand’s eyes darkened, and he gulped as her nakedness was exposed to him.

Feeling self-conscious since she was the only one naked, Arabella helped him undo his clothes too.

With both of them naked together, the air around them immediately changed.

But Arabella did not want to begin while she was still sweaty, so she said, "Let’s get cleansed first."

She quickly walked to where she saw a showerhead, and Ferdinand followed her.

"Yes, of course," Ferdinand said.
