Cheng Luiying led them into her workshop.
"This is your order, take a look at how intricate each part and each stroke will be, you are a designer, surely you should know this much," Cheng Luiying explained to her as she picked up the draft, thrusting it into her hands.
"What are you saying? The design is clearly very simple," Cheng Nan replied to her in a cracked voice, her confidence rapidly falling. Still, Cheng Nan was not willing to back down.
"Oh, it is simple right? Please do help me call Linlin," Cheng Luiying instructed the manager who did as told immediately.
The two sisters stood face-to-face as they had a stand off. Cheng Luiying had the advantage as she was taller, therefore she could look down at her little sister.
"Sometimes, I wonder what Xin Yi finds in you," Cheng Nan sneered.
Cheng Luiying in reply raised her brows to her words. Her sister sounded jealous and she could only chuckle at her stupidity.
"I also have several thoughts, thoughts about why you are your mother’s favourite when you are clearly foolish, even your brother is a better candidate," Cheng Luiying was not one to back down without a fight.
"You!" Cheng Nan pointed at her in fury before she dropped it reluctantly. She could not lay her hands on Cheng Luiying or Xin Yi will make their lives a living hell. She did not want to get on her mother’s bad side.
"Why did you stop? You could have hit me, why did you become afraid all of a sudden?" Cheng Luiying tilted her head as she looked at her with surprise.
She was trying to provoke her and she was doing an awesome job at it because right now, Cheng Nan was close to losing her composure.
"You had better stop with your provocation," Cheng Nan spoke through gritted teeth as the veins on her hands popped due to how clenched it was.
"But I am not doing anything, little sister," Cheng Luiying’s lips curled looking at the state she was in. She had never had this much fun. She had to admit, playing with her sister worked well for her.
Cheng Nan looked at her, eyes red and when she was about to make her move, the door clicked opened causing her to discard her initial plan.
’Perfect timing,’ Cheng Luiying thought in her mind as she glanced at the door while still looking at the now docile Cheng Nan through the corner of her eyes.
"Linlin, I am so sorry for pulling you out of the workshop but this is an urgent matter, do you have time to spare?" Cheng Luiying asked the girl who seemed to be around the age of eighteen.
"It is no issue boss, what do I have to do?" The girl asked with a cheerful smile and Cheng Luiying smiled heartedly.
"I know you are a graduate of the Beijing Design Institute and your master, Gong Mi is a very good friend of mine, the reason he allowed you to work here is still baffling but anyways, I need you to help me check up on something," Cheng Luiying looked at Cheng Nan while she spoke those words.
Cheng Nan’s face turned pal immediately she heard Beijing Design Institute, it was the top designing school for all designers, regardless of your specialization.
She recalled taking the exam because she wanted to get admitted into the institute but she was rejected as they deemed her designs unworthy.
But now, Cheng Luiying had a graduate under her wing. And Gong Mi, she knew who he was.
Gong Mi is the most famous jewelry designer in the whole of China and he was also the youngest. When they were little, Gong Mi’s family were neighbors with them.
She shook lightly, her secret was about to be exposed. What should she do?
"Yes, Aunt, it is best you get to the point, you flatter me a lot," Linlin shook her head helplessly.
"Can you check this design? We need to know if it is a simple or complicated design," Cheng Luiying directed a smug smile towards Cheng Nan, who knew that things were about to be over for her.
"Alright," Linlin agreed as she walked towards the table.
With each step she took, Cheng Nan’s heart shook. She wanted to do something but she could not, Cheng Luiying had her eyes on her and she could not do anything foolish.
Linlin finally reached the table and she picked up the tablet, she studies the design and she frowned slightly.
"This is very complicated design, if I were to work on it, it will take about three weeks due to level of complexity it has," Linlin said with a frown.
Bang! They suddenly heard a noise.
Cheng Nan had fallen over. Cheng Luiying and the rest looked at her with their eyebrows raised.
"What is wrong? Are you scared? Or are you surprised?" Cheng Luiying asked with her hands folded.
"You were the one who designed it, how can you not know if it is complicated or not?" Cheng Luiying asked.
"I am sorry," Cheng Nan finally accepted that she was wrong.
Her scheme was exposed, what else could she do?
"What are you sorry for? You cannot say sorry for something you do not know," Cheng Luiying pointed out.
Cheng Nan glared at her and Luiying raised her brows in reply.
"I am sorry for causing a lot of trouble, I am also sorry for making things difficult for your workers," Cheng Nan apologized.
"That wasn’t so hard, was it?" Cheng Luiying smiled.
"Do not worry, I am a woman of principles, you will get your finished product in two days," Cheng Luiying said to her and she nodded before she hastily walked out of the workshop and the shop itself.
"She is such a troublemaker, I also thought the design was simple, but she was aware it was not, she is so, I don’t even know what to say about her," the manager shook her head.
"It is not your fault, thank you Linlin, you have helped me a lot," Cheng Luiying thanked and she nodded before leaving the workshop with the manager, leaving Cheng Luiying to focus on the work.
Meanwhile, Cheng was in her car as she held the steering wheel tightly.
’You have insulted me today, I promise to make you pay,’ she thought to herself as she stared in the direction of the shop.
