"I have done so many bad things, and I think, no, I know I cannot be forgiven for what I have done," Yuan Renshu said, holding his chin with a wistful smile.

"I believe that forgiveness is possible if one is truly sincere; have you tried apologizing to her with all sincerity?" Shi Bei inquired, as she was completely interested in his story.

"I can not face her; I feel guilty every time I look at her; she is one-of-a-kind, but I was blinded by circumstances and caused her so much pain," Yuan Renshu said with a nostalgic smile.

"And, besides, I am certain she will not forgive me," Yuan Renshu exhaled slightly.

He was confident that Xin Yan would never forgive him, given what she had discovered. She was determined to end him, so that is exactly what she would do.

"Have you ever thought about trying to meet her? Who knows, she may find it in her heart to forgive you." Shi Bei had a positive outlook, whereas Yuan Renshu had a negative one.

He felt something stir in him as he looked at her. She differed from Jiang Lanfen. She had only recently met him, but she had already given him advice that his wife would not even consider giving him.

Jiang Lanfen was self-centered; he had recently discovered this and wondered why he had not realized it sooner.

"You know, I have not tried pleading for her forgiveness because I have been so preoccupied with myself that I have forgotten about this; thank you for such wonderful advice," he thanked her, almost jumping on her to give her a big hug, but he was able to resist.

Shi Bei tried not to grin. She could see his reaction but chose not to mention it.

"I would like you to eat your meal and then take some hangover drugs before you leave," she said, smiling.

"Am I allowed to sleep here?" He asked, "I promise to leave tomorrow morning." He did not want to return home because he knew he would be subjected to Jiang Lanfen’s nagging.

Honestly, he felt more at ease in this situation. Shi Bei was far superior to Jiang Lanfen in terms of fun and gentleness.

"It is up to you; if you want to sleep over, I will not force you to return to your home, it is your choice." Shi Bei’s response was unexpected, and for the first time that evening, she noticed him smile, and she was drawn to his beautiful smile.

"You look really beautiful while smiling," she complimented him, causing his smile to widen.

"Thank you; you are also very beautiful," he said to her, and she gave him a shy smile.

They started staring at each other, and one thing led to another, until Shi Bei found herself in his arms, her clothes being pulled off.

She wanted to stop herself because he appeared to be married, but her body refused to cooperate; she could not resist him.

Each piece of clothing was gradually removed from her body. Slow, sensual kisses trailed up from her hands and reached her throat.

She tried to suppress a moan, but when he bit her on the sensitive spot behind her left ear, she could not help but moan.

"I really want to do it with you, but I will respect your wishes; if you want me to stop, you can tell me now," Yuan Renshu decided to ask her permission.

He wanted her, but if she did not want him, he would not force himself on her. He wanted them to agree.

Shi Bei immediately told him, "Do not stop." She enjoyed simply being with him.

Who cared about his marital status? She would worry about the consequences later.

Yuan Renshu wasted no time in pressing her under him once he had her permission.

*Li Qiang’s Mansion*

After a long day at the mall, Xin Yan and Li Chuxi arrived home.

"I am so exhausted," Xin Yan exclaimed before collapsing onto the chair and rubbing her legs. She was too tired.

"Here, mommy, you will need it," Li Chuxi said, passing a glass of water to Xin Yan, who smiled. Her daughter was the cutest, she told herself.

"Mommy, are your legs hurting?" Li Chuxi inquired, worried, as she noticed Xin Yan constantly rubbing her legs.

"Just a little, they are just sore; they will improve once I get enough rest," Xin Yan admitted with a smile, and Li Chuxi pursed her lips.

She noticed the tiredness on Xin Yan’s face. She paused for a moment before heading to her room.

She quickly dialed a number, which turned out to be Li Qiang’s. He had gotten her a phone so she could reach him in an emergency, and Xin Yan’s case was currently an emergency.

Li Qiang was in a meeting when they were interrupted by the sound of a phone.

Everyone turned to face themselves. Who had the audacity to bring a phone into the conference room?

They searched amongst themselves for a while but could not find the ringing telephone. All eyes turned to the President, who had become self-aware.

He did not say anything, but he did pull the phone from his pocket. He frowned when he noticed it was Li Chuxi. He raised his hands to indicate that they had remained silent, which stunned the board greatly.

What happened to not having phone calls during the meeting?

"Chuxi, what is the problem?" Li Qiang inquired, his brow furrowed.

When he mentioned that name, they quickly got an answer. Everyone was aware of Chuxi’s identity. Their President’s adoptive child. They still wondered why the couple adopted a child, but they did not dare to ask because it was none of their business.

"Daddy, mommy is not feeling well, but you know how she is; she will not take any medication even if I tell her to," Li Qiang frowned at her words.

He was, of course, aware of Xin Yan’s behavior. She would not care about her health as long as she did not experience a breakdown. It appeared that Li Chuxi had called him regarding something serious.

"I will be home soon; for the time being, try to get her to eat," Li Qiang said before hanging up the phone.

"I apologize, but this is where we have to end this meeting," Li Qiang said before walking out, accompanied by a surprised Gao Yang and leaving the board of directors with open mouths.
