Chapter 52: Chapter 52: Wanting To Bear His Kids
"I want to forgive you, but your actions made me think otherwise; unfortunately, I will not be able to forgive you," Xin Yan said with a regretful sigh.
Ah Si looked up, her face pale as she stared at Xin Yan, surprised.
What happened to her sense of compassion and kindness? Why was she being so evil right now?
Meanwhile, Li Qiang was delighted. It was a good thing she knew how to defend herself; otherwise, she would be bullied.
He would have been disappointed if she had chosen to forgive her. Certain people had to be put in their proper places on occasion.
"Why are you unable to forgive me?" Ah Si was obstinate when she posed the question.
Xin Yan and Li Qiang stared at her as if she had lost a few brain cells. Was it not a person’s fundamental right to forgive whomever she chose?
"The last time I checked, I could forgive both who I wanted to and who I did not want to, so why are you asking me such a stupid question?" Xin Yan puckered her lips slightly.
"Even if I forgive you, there is a good chance I will be disrespected again, and that is not something I want to go through," Xin Yan explained to her simply.
"Master," she said abruptly, crawling towards Li Qiang. She was hoping he would respond to her.
"Master, I have served you for a long time, I have followed you without saying a word; would you let me go because of a few words from her?" Ah Si hit her head on the floor several times, but it made no difference to Li Qiang. He was disgusted and backed away slightly.
Ah Si noticed that slight movement, and the light in her eyes faded as she slumped to the floor in disbelief.
"Even if she had forgiven you, I would have found ways to make your life a living hell, so you should be grateful you are leaving this mansion," Li Qiang said in a cold voice, chilling her heart once more.
"I understand," she nodded stiffly before dragging herself up and leaving the room.
Xin Yan collapsed onto the bed, sighing exhaustedly.
Li Qiang frowned as he rushed to her, "It is not your fault; you should be able to demonstrate that you are not someone to be taken for granted or else you will be treated with attitude," he advised her, and she nodded with a slight smile.
"I just feel like I did something wrong; yes, she was rude, but not to the point where we fire her, is it?" Xin Yan was perplexed as she gazed at him, hoping for answers.
"I understand, but you have not done anything wrong; all you did was fight back, which is a good trait; as a business person, you must be shrewd and have the ability to fight back or you will be treated like a rag, I hope this makes sense," he told her, and she nodded palely.
"Hmm," there was a sudden movement beside her, and she turned quickly.
Xin Chuxi was waking up. Li Qiang, on the other hand, was nervous because he was not sure if Xin Chuxi would like him.
Xin Chuxi’s eyes flickered open as she looked around. She turned quickly, as if she was looking for someone.
"I am here; I did not leave, and you certainly did not dream of me," Xin Yan stated. Seeing her eyes dart around, she realized why she was behaving that way.
"You are real," Xin Chuxi sat up, leaping into Xin Yan’s embrace.
"You are real, it was not a dream or a fantasy; you exist truly," Xin Chuxi sobbed, and her tears tugged at the couple’s heartstrings.
"There, there, Aunt is more than real, and she exists," Xin Yan said, laughing.
After she calmed down, Xin Chuxi left Xin Yan’s arms, which is when she noticed Li Qiang.
"Who is this attractive man?" Xin Chuxi inquired, her expression innocent.
Li Qiang smiled as soon as he heard her voice. It was relaxing for his ears. She complimented him without knowing it, and it was like music to his ears.
"This is Li Qiang, my husband," Xin Yan introduced.
"Oh, he is the one you praised as the most attractive man in China, hello Uncle!" exclaimed Xin Chuxi.
Xin Yan’s eyes widened and her ears flushed red. Li Qiang, on the other hand, had a smirk on his face as he stared deeply at Xin Yan.
"Hi Chuxi," he waved to her, and she smiled back, melting his heart. He never imagined that he could care so much for a young girl who was completely unrelated to him.
"So you find me attractive; I had no idea," he said, bending down to her position and whispering into her ears.
She cleared her throat awkwardly before tilting her head slightly away. He was breathing directly on her neck, causing her to feel sensations she had not felt before.
"Chuxi, we have something to say to you; do you want to hear it?" Xin Yan changed the subject.
"I will listen to Aunt and Uncle," Xin Chuxi assured with a solemn face.
Xin Yan looked up to Li Qiang as she motioned for him to inform her. She was somewhat hesitant to tell her. After receiving her signal, he shook his head helplessly.
"Your Aunt and I have decided to adopt you; this means you can call us Father and Mother while you are our child," he explained in simple words that she could understand.
"You want to be my parents, and I will be your child?" Xin Yan quickly nodded in response to her question.
"I am happy and willing to be your child; I believe you will look after me and not abandon me," Xin Chuxi said seriously.
"Yes, of course, we will not abandon you; you will be our first child, and no one will take your place, even if we have another child," Xin Yan blurted out, but it was too late for her to realize what she had said.
Li Qiang stared at her in a dazed expression.
Did this imply that she was actually willing to have his children?
