Chapter 154: Pushing The Blame To Her

Chapter 154: Chapter 154: Pushing The Blame To Her

Xin Yan had a bright look in her eyes, seeing that she was ready.

"I need you to go to XX station, ask them when Jiang Lanfen’s trial will take place," Xin Yan instructed.

"Alright President, I will do..... Wait a minute, is Jiang Lanfen in jail? How come, and when did that happen?" Chen Wenling gawked at her, surprised by this information.

"She is in jail," Xin Yan replied, and proceeded to tell her about all that happened.

"Wow, this comes as a surprise," Chen Wenling could only reply in this manner, hanging her mouth open in shock.

"But, she deserves it, she and Yuan Renshu treated you so badly, speaking about Yuan Renshu, why did you not put him in jail also, after all, he was the one who wronged you severely," Chen Wenling was confused about her actions.

"It will be difficult, Yuan Renshu is a lot smarter than Jiang Lanfen, and then again, I am unable to find him, which is a worrisome matter," Xin Yan narrowed her eyes, feeling bothered about the fact that Yuan Renshu is not under her radar anymore.

If Chen Wenling hadn’t mentioned it, she would have probably forgotten about this.

"After finding out about her trial date, I will need you to help me investigate Yuan Renshu’s whereabouts, his disappearance is baffling," Xin Yan was concerned about him.

He was a ticking time bomb, leaving him could cause serious issues.

"Yes President, your wish is my command, and I am entitled to fulfill your wishes," Chen Wenling saluted, and Xin Yan burst into laughter.

"You are really something else," Xin Yan said amidst laughter.

Chen Wenling smiled in return seeing Xin Yan smile. She had been putting on a serious face, and she had almost forgotten how she looked while she smiled.

This was the reason for her action, and she was glad it worked.

"I will be leaving now President, and I hope to return with good news," Chen Wenling stated, before exiting the office.

Xin Yan looked at the folder in her hands, and her heart beat rapidly. She was not going to open it yet. She was going to show it to Li Qiang so they could both see what was in it.

"President, how was it yesterday?" Gao Yang questioned.

He had an idea on the result, seeing that Li Qiang had a serene smile on his face.

"It was successful, the tables were turned, and Tang Jun was smart enough to use the opportunity, Wu Tang and Tang Mei would be getting married," Li Qiang informed with a slight chuckle.

Gao Yang smiled. He had been fearful since yesterday, thinking that the plan would not be successful. Fortunately, he was thinking too much into it.

"I am glad it worked out, if it didn’t, you and President Xin would have to be separated which is not what we want," Gao Yang breathed out in relief.

"Do you think I will allow someone to separate me from Xin Yan? I have lost her once, I won’t lose her again," Li Qiang spoke up, an octave higher than his earlier voice.

Gao Yang was surprised by his loud voice. He was also confused by his words, but he attributed it to the period of their memory loss.

Actually, Li Qiang was not referring to that. He was referring to Xin Yan being reborn. He would rather die than have her separated from him.

"What do we do now, boss? From what I know, Wu Tang is going to investigate this issue, and if he finds out I betrayed him, the consequences could be dire," Gao Yang asked, his brows scrunched up in fear.

"Relax, you are safe, I assure you, from the little I know about him, he will not suspect you, and even if he does, no fingers will be pointed towards you, but one of his subordinates," Li Qiang smiled mischievously.

Gao Yang chuckled, seeing the look in his eyes. He finally understood what Li Qiang had done, and he felt at peace.

"You are the boss," Gao Yang gave him a thumbs up, and Li Qiang nodded, feeling pleased with himself.

After Tang Mei regained consciousness, she demanded that she wanted to head home. She wanted to apologize to her father.

Wu Tang noticed her insistence, and he could only agree to do what she said. Thus, currently, they are presently at Tang’s household.

Currently, Tang Mei was kneeling before her father. Wu Tang could not leave, even though he would rather not stay there. He has decided to get married to her. Hence, he could only show his sincerity.

Tang Mo was also present in the room, and in all honesty, he was tired of his sister’s actions.

"Father, I am sorry, I promise not to do it anymore, please forgive me father," she pleaded, trying to hold on to his legs.

In return, he pushed his legs backwards, not allowing him to touch her.

Tang Mei felt her heart twist in pain, seeing her father’s actions. She breathed out, realizing that it was her fault at the end of the day.

"Do you have any idea how many times you have apologized? You end up doing the same thing time and time again," Tang Jun was fed up with her constant apology, but at the end of the day, she did not do as she said.

"Father, I promise this is the last time," Tang Mei was desperate. She needed to convince her father that she was changed.

"Tell me, you planned this, you wanted Li Qiang, you did not expect Wu Tang to show up, this was all a plan, and it was plotted by you," Tang Mo sneered at his sister, revealing her plans in the open.

Tang Jun had informed him about what had happened yesterday, and he had analyzed it rationally, excluding Wu Tang’s possible involvement.

Hearing her brother’s analysis, Tang Mei turned to Wu Tang, who had his eyebrows raised. Obviously, he was not willing to be involved in this. He was pushing the blame to her.
