Xin Yan revealed a smile as she queried, "where are you seated? I am also here."

"Just give me your location, I will find my way to you," Zhou Mian was excited, she was finally going to meet her best friend after several weeks of not seeing her.

Actually, she could understand her. They were both busy with their respective lives, so it was expected that they were not going to see each other often.

Xin Yan happily described where they were, and before long, Zhou Mian skipped over.

Li Qiang watched the two women discuss as they caught up with each other, and he smiled.

It was better this way, it would help him in what he planned to do later.

A few minutes later, Wu Tang took the stage, it was time for his speech.

"Attention everybody," he clinked his glass of wine with a gentle smile, and everybody turned their attention to him, the chatter dying down immediately.

"I am thrilled to have you grace my event today, it means a lot, I might be new to the city, but you have acknowledged me as one of you by showing up," he started out soft, as his eyes swept over the entire crowd with a graceful smile on his face.

"I would like to use this opportunity to inform you all that I will be making my way into the Chinese market soon, I hope you all take care of me," he paused trying to take in their expression.

He only continued when he noticed that they took the news with a pleased look.

A round of applause followed his pause. Wu Tang smiled, loving the embrace they gave him.

He would never have realized that it was Li Qiang who took it upon himself to clap; otherwise, the atmosphere would have been silent.

"Thank you for the warm welcome, and also, please enjoy the banquet," he said with a smile, before leaving the stage.

This sort of party was good for socializing, and was the major reason some people showed up.

Some Presidents of companies wanted to greet Li Qiang, but the look in his eyes forced them to back off.

As a result, they could only socialize within themselves. They didn’t intend to disturb Li Qiang.

"I will be right back," Li Qiang said to Xin Yan who nodded, without asking questions.

Zhou Mian watched him leave, and she immediately turned to Xin Yan with folded arms.

"What is it?" Xin Yan asked as she beckoned for the waiter to come.

"Do you know where he is heading to?" Zhou Mian asked with narrowed eyes.

Xin Yan chuckled, took two glasses of fruit juice from the waiter’s tray, before handing one of the glasses to Zhou Mian who collected it with her brows furrowed.

"Why do you ask such a question?" Xin Yan tilted her head, as she waited for an answer.

"I do not know, but I spotted Tang Mei, I am worried something might happen, we all know how obsessed she is with Li Qiang, who knows?

She might follow him once she sees him," Zhou Mian explained, biting the straw with a profound look in her eyes.

"I understand your worries, but I have nothing to worry about, so you should not also feel the same way," Xin Yan pacified her.

She was aware that this was part of Li Qiang’s plans. She did not know what he was planning to do, but she rather has faith in him.

And she would also want her friend to feel the same way.

"If you say so, I just can’t shake off this feeling, I only hope everything works out well," Zhou Mian responded with a small smile.

Wu Tang noticed Li Qiang leave Xin Yan’s side, and his eyes glinted with a malicious gaze.

"Here, drink this juice," he walked to Tang Mei as he instructed her.

She was confused, not knowing what he wanted her to do.

"Just drink it," he instructed, impatient by lack of her response.

Tang Mei felt his rage increasing, so she hastily grabbed the glass from his hand, and gulped it immediately.

She handed it back to him, and a few seconds later, she felt dizzy.

She looked at him with blurry eyes, wondering what he had put in the juice.

"What did you put in it?" She barely managed to ask, as she felt hot all over.

"You do not need to know, this is the beginning of my plans, now, follow me," Wu Tang said, as he helped her up, she was dizzy.

Nobody noticed their actions as they were in a discreet corner.

Wu Tang had sent someone to watch over Li Qiang, and thus, he knew exactly where Li Qiang was.

Or rather, he had instructed them to ambush him, and put him in a room.

What was his plan? To separate Li Qiang and Xin Yan, he had to introduce a new character, and the character needed was none other than Tang Mei.

He would also project their 𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑎𝑖𝑟 on a big screen. He had drugged Tang Mei, and the performance later on would depend on her, but he was sure that she will not disappoint him.

Not only that, but he led her to a room, and he smiled gleefully before walking in.

But he would never have expected that he would be hit on the head with a stick.

"Done with your business?" Xin Yan asked as she smiled at Li Qiang, who had just shown up.

"Hmm, pay attention to the screen, there would be a massive show to watch later on, and I believe you will be interested in watching it," Li Qiang spoke mysteriously, which caught the two; Xin Yan’s and Zhou Mian’s interest.

Xin Yan turned to look at him, she was interested to knowing what he had planned.

"I know you are eager, but that will ruin the surprise, just watch out, it will be good for your laughs," Li Qiang was unwilling to tell her what he had planned, and she could only give up.

She faced the screen, showing Wu Tang’s plans for his company.

Suddenly, the screen changed, and everyone gasped, seeing the provocative images on the screen.
