Xin Yi exhaled as they all watched Fu Ji being dragged to the police van.

The head of the officers approached them once again.

"We will conduct a thorough investigation, though your evidence is conclusive, but it is part of the procedure, I hope you do not mind," the officer inquired, and Zhang Luiying was quick to shake her head negatively.

"Thank you for your hard work, you just need to update us on the process, and inform us when the hearing is going to take place, I will be standing in S a witness," Xin Yi stated, his hands were clenched by his side.

Zhang Luiying stared at him with concern in her eyes, and she held his hands, patting it reassuringly.

She knew what he wanted to do. To give Fu Ji a greater sentence, he had to open up wounds which he had chosen to forget.

"Noted, we will keep you updated," the officer agreed and left.

"Are you okay?" She asked him, his hands were holding on to hers tightly.

"It is all settled, and it is thanks to you, thank you, Zhang Luiying, this might be the best justice I give my friends," he turned to look at her as he thanked her.

She shook her head immediately.

"You do not need to thank me, I did what I had to do, Fu Ji is a scum, and he deserves to rot in hell," Zhang Luiying immediately corrected him.

"Sister-in-law, you have helped my brother a lot, thank you very much," Xin Yan thanked her genuinely. If it were not for her, her brother would still be living in the shadows of the past without telling anyone.

"Yes, sister-in-law," the boys at the back chorused, and Xin Yi looked at Zhang Luiying, who felt uncomfortable with the praise.

"That is enough, if you keep thanking me, I would really think you do not take me to be part of the family," Zhang Luiying spoke with a loud voice, and a stern face, her jaw was taut, and her eyes narrowed.

They all clamped their mouths shut at her words.

"Good," she chuckled, before turning to Xin Yi, "let’s go, our family is waiting."

"Do you want to meet my family?" Xin Yi asked his group, who nodded their heads almost immediately.

"Then let’s go, I assure you, they are one of a kind," Xin Yi smiled as they walked away.

"More like a gathering of big shots," Zhi mumbled under his breath, but it was loud enough for the group to hear, and they all burst into laughter.

As they walked to the gallery, there were cheers from the crowd celebrating Xin Yi, before they dispersed.

This challenge would forever go down in the books as the most exciting and unpredictable race. Fu Ji’s arrest would be on the lips of everyone.

While walking, Zhang Luiying felt a malicious gaze at the back of her head, and she turned almost immediately, but could not find anything.

She frowned slightly. She did not know if it was her imagination, but someone was staring at her with a malicious and hateful look.

"What is wrong?" Xin Yi asked as he sensed her distressed feeling.

"Nothing, I just had the idea that someone was looking for me, but when I turned back, I could not find anything," she whispered with pursed lips.

She would rather not speak too loudly for fear of scaring anyone.

"Let’s hope so, you will be fine, I am here with you, and I will always be your bodyguard," he uttered with a serious look, and a smile blossomed on her face because she knew he meant it.

"You are silly," she commented with a laugh while squeezing his hands.

Xin Yi noticed it, but did not say anything. She was scared, he knew that much, and it was difficult to get rid of the fear. He could only accompany her to ease her fears.

Xin Yan smiled as she followed behind her brother. She felt grateful for numerous reasons.

Firstly, her brother’s wife was willing to help him, and was not like those scheming white lotuses.

But her mood soured on recalling the source of her parents’ deaths. She was able to save everyone when she was reborn, everyone except her parents.

She sighed slightly as they reached the gallery. 𝐼𝑛 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑛 𝑎𝑡 𝑎 𝑎𝑛 Li Qiang approached her immediately, and she smiled. In all, she was grateful that she was able to reunite with her lover and her kids.

"You look tense, is anything the matter?" He asked.

"I do not know how my brother would react to the news of our parents’ deaths, he has been hit with bad news from different sides, I would rather not aggravate it," Xin Yan explained as she rested on the wall.

"Your brother deserves to know, he is family, and they were his parents, he is strong, and I believe he will be able to take the news," Li Qiang encouraged her to inform Xin Yi.

There was no need to hide it from him. He was going to find out in due time, so it was best to inform him while his emotions were not yet calm.

Li Qiang’s approach might sound awful, but it was the best they could follow.

"I will inform him once we arrive, for now, I have some scores to settle with you," Xin Yan eyed him, and he chuckled.

"And what could that be, Mrs. Li?" He bent to her level, whispering the question to her face.

Xin Yan breathed out, seeing his face up close, and she swallowed slightly.

"What are you doing?" She barely managed to ask, her voice barely loud as she looked at him with her big doe eyes. She badly wanted to merge with the wall as she could not understand what was going on.

"I am waiting for an answer from my darling wife, she has some scores to settle with me, so I want to know what it is," Li Qiang replied with an innocent look.

"Can you take a step back?" She begged.

"Please," she added with a pleading tone.

"Sorry, but no!" He rejected her plea, and she snapped her head to him in surprise.

"I find this particular position enticing, and I have decided to try it on you," Li Qiang’s words were shameless, but he cared less. He was having fun teasing her.

Xin Yan could only stare at him with parted lips, she could not utter a single word.
