Chapter 217: Chapter 217: Artistic Flair (Second Update)

"Temporarily it looks okay, but specifically, we’ll have to wait until she changes into the clothes and gets in front of the camera to really know," said Tang Yue conservatively. At a glance, Zhang Minmin seemed quite suitable—vibrant and youthful, her haughtiness faded away—she was simply the perfect spokesperson that Tang Yue had in mind.

Mingyue Clothing’s apparel embodies youthfulness and energy.

The target customer base of the clothing factory is people from around eighteen to thirty years old.

"Then let’s wait and see on Saturday," Zhang Tingyu spoke with a touch of pride.

Tang Yue, however, was looking further ahead and asked, "It’ll be the third year of high school soon, and although the first advertisement shoot will be over, we’ll definitely need more for the winter collection, and we might even have to travel elsewhere. So, can Zhang Minmin handle it?"

When she had first asked Zhang Tingyu, she also had these concerns in mind, but thought to just get the first shoot over with and then consider finding someone else for the winter collection.

"She can handle it," Zhang Tingyu nodded and said, "You don’t know, my aunt and uncle never expected Tingyu to get into a good university. If her scores aren’t high enough, they plan on letting her learn some sort of skill instead."

"Um," Tang Yue pondered and replied, "That’s all for the future. Let’s first see if she can even be used."

The clothing factory wasn’t hers alone; her younger uncle was the main investor. It wasn’t enough for her alone to approve; everyone needed to agree.

In the blink of an eye, it was Friday.

After class, Tang Yue reminded Zhang Tingyu about going to Mingyue Clothing Factory tomorrow, then hurried home.

The moment she got home, she was stopped by Tang Mingli, who excitedly said, "Xiao Yue, I found a really amazing photographer."

"Oh?" Tang Yue asked curiously, "How did you find him?"

"A classmate of mine," Tang Mingli replied cheerfully, "Come on, I’ll take you to meet him."

Tang Mingli dragged Tang Yue out to eat at a restaurant they had booked.

"I haven’t even changed my clothes yet," Tang Yue said, looking at the red cotton-padded jacket she had been wearing for three days.

Tang Mingli glanced at her and said, "What’s wrong with it? It looks just fine, no need to change."

Fusheng Restaurant.

It’s where Tang Mingli used to work; the food is tasty, affordably priced, and the owner, upon seeing Tang Mingli, greeted him warmly. Tang Mingli was no longer the little boy from the restaurant.

"Xiao Yue, when chatting with my classmate later, you can just tell him your requirements for the advertisement," Tang Mingli instructed while continuing, "I’ve briefly discussed with him. By the way, I also inquired about the cost of the advertisement—if we’re talking about just for the summer, it will be over two thousand. But it’s a good time slot, right after the 7:30 p.m. news, though the ad is short, just one minute."

Tang Mingli’s complaint made Tang Yue nearly spit out the water she had just drunk. She fought back the urge to roll her eyes. Prime-time one-minute ads in the future would cost millions, impossible to secure without such funding, let alone such a lengthy spot.

Over two thousand, for an entire summer, three months!

Tang Yue felt like she had stumbled upon a great bargain. Although there were ads on TV now, there weren’t as many as in the future, nor was there the same level of awareness.

Otherwise, they wouldn’t be able to secure such a deal.

"Xiao Yue, that expression—do you think it’s a bargain?" Tang Mingli said, feeling the pinch.

Tang Yue nodded.

Tang Mingli clutched his chest and said, "Xiao Yue, over two thousand for just one minute—it’s too expensive."

Tang Mingli exaggerated his words, and had he not trusted Tang Yue, he might have preferred running more business errands than spending this money.

"Uncle, give me a break, in the future when more people are advertising, the costs will only go up," Tang Yue reminded him. "Uncle, if we get a lot of orders from this ad, we should immediately sign a contract with the TV station for several years."

Tang Yue, with the mentality that failing to take advantage of a good deal is foolish, wished she could sign a ten-year advertising contract.

Tang Mingli: "..."

There was a knock on the door, and Tang Mingli got up to open it. Seeing Zhou Zhiming, he immediately cheerfully said, "You’re here! Let me introduce you—this is my niece, Tang Yue."

"Xiao Yue, this is my high school classmate, Zhou Zhiming. He studied videography abroad during college. Although he graduated not too long ago, the photos he takes are really good," Tang Mingli praised.

"Hello," Tang Yue’s gaze fell on Zhou Zhiming’s long hair. Well, not exactly long—more like medium-length, long for a man as it was nearly reaching his shoulders.

He had a small face with spirited eyes, exuding an artistic aura throughout his being.

As the formal introductions wrapped up, they moved on to business. Zhou Zhiming also had a good impression of Tang Yue, not only beautiful but well-mannered, and he didn’t see any disdain in her eyes.

This gave Zhou Zhiming confidence that this job would go well.

First, Zhou Zhiming showed Tang Yue the portraits he had shot, and he even played some discs he brought on a player.

As Tang Yue looked at the set of advanced equipment, she felt as if she had traveled through time. In a short while, images from Zhou Zhiming’s earlier shoots played, and compared to the high-definition images of the future, the resolution was a bit ordinary.

But it was still not bad.

After a series of explanations, and even after dinner, Tang Yue and Tang Mingli visited Zhou Zhiming’s house. They saw his large courtyard, and upon entering the main hall—not a living room but a small photography space—the sight of the handheld camera convinced Tang Yue that this advertisement would be successfully shot.

When Zhou Zhiming picked up the camera, his demeanor seemed to change instantly, making Tang Yue even more confident about this advertisement shoot.

She said, "Uncle, you and Zhou Zhiming should go to the factory tomorrow together. You also found someone else, right? Let’s see who suits our clothes the best."

"Sure," replied Tang Mingli. Now that he had decided to go ahead with it, aside from his initial reluctance to spend money, he never hesitated about what needed to be done.

Leaving Zhou Zhiming’s house and on the way home, Tang Yue and Tang Mingli discussed the creative concept for this ad.

Tang Mingli seemed clueless.

Tang Yue eventually gave up on him and went straight to her room after getting home, pondering how to best showcase their factory’s clothing.

Hmm, for this summer’s collection, in addition to women’s clothes, she decided to launch some men’s clothes as well. Having male and female models shoot together would likely yield better results. But how to present the creativity of the ad was giving Tang Yue a headache.
