Rebirth: Divorcing the Billionaire
Chapter 69: Buy Her a Shopping Mall

Chapter 69: Chapter 69: Buy Her a Shopping Mall

Even Jian Xi, who was normally good-tempered, was now showing a hint of anger.

Yet the manager, seemingly unafraid of death, whispered to Jian Xi, "Your husband really likes Miss Jiang. He swipes his black card for millions here every month. I suggest you coexist peacefully and let her have the trench coat."

Jiang Qimeng snorted. "Did you hear that? The manager said the clothes are ours now. Hand them over," she said, advancing to snatch them.

Jian Xi reacted quickly, tearing the coat to pieces.

She shot a hateful glance at the manager. "Jiang Qimeng, I don’t mind exposing all the dirty deeds you’ve done for the public to see with their own eyes. So what if you were childhood sweethearts? A mistress is still a mistress and will never be respectable."

This remark deeply stung Jiang Qimeng.

Indeed, she couldn’t afford to be publicly shamed, nor did she dare risk it; it would displease Si Yuhuan and, worse, make her grandfather despise her. She didn’t dare gamble.

"Jian Xi, you will pay for these words," Jiang Qimeng hissed bitterly before covering her face and pulling Xiang Yao away, looking disheveled.

Ha! Pay the price? She had paid it long ago.

Jian Xi glanced at the trench coat on the floor, kicked it aside, put on her sunglasses, and left with an imposing air.

Outside, Xiang Yao couldn’t stop fanning the flames.

"This Jian Xi is too audacious, daring to disrespect you in public. Isn’t she afraid Si Yuhuan will settle the score with her?"

She grew angrier as she spoke, "Mengmeng, what’s really going on with you and Si Yuhuan? Didn’t he promise to marry you? How much longer before he divorces that vile woman? I can’t stand it!"

"Enough! Shut up!" Jiang Qimeng nearly lost her composure, her mask of hypocrisy almost cracking.

Her outburst frightened Xiang Yao beside her.

Realizing her reaction, Jiang Qimeng immediately apologized, took Xiang Yao’s hand, and said tearfully, "You know I grew up with Si Yuhuan; our bond is deep. If I hadn’t been forced to go abroad, how could Jian Xi have taken my place? Si Yuhuan only married her because his grandfather pressured him."

"Exactly, I know how genuine Si Yuhuan feels about you; I can see it. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have restored your exclusive black card for your expenses," Xiang Yao said.

Jiang Qimeng was infuriated, almost spitting blood. Was the black card the most important thing?!

"It’s a pity I couldn’t buy you the trench coat you liked," Jiang Qimeng kept apologizing.

Xiang Yao immediately directed her grudge at Jian Xi. "That damn woman doesn’t know her place! I won’t let her get away with this! I remember all your kindness to me, Mengmeng! Making an enemy of you is making an enemy of me, Xiang Yao! Don’t worry, I’ll make her pay for this insult right away!"

With that, Xiang Yao left Jiang Qimeng and headed straight for Haohan Group.

Jiang Qimeng watched her resentful retreating figure, a curve forming on her red lips.

Jian Xi, I wonder if you’ll like this big gift I’m sending your way!

Meanwhile, Jian Xi, her anger from the earlier incident still simmering, decided against returning to Fuyuan Official Residence and drove straight to Haohan Group.

In the office, Si Yuhuan was swamped with work.

With Jian Group’s involvement, the scale of overseas chip manufacturing and sales had expanded significantly. At least dozens of CEOs sought to meet him daily, and innumerable partnership proposals flooded in. Even after rigorous screening, dozens still required his personal attention.

When Jian Xi walked in, she saw a group of high-ranking executives sitting in the office, engaged in a "heated discussion"!

"The cash flow can’t support constructing R&D bases in both the Southeast and Northwest simultaneously. This is unrealistic. Revise the proposal," Si Yuhuan ordered.

The moment everyone saw her, they immediately stood up and excused themselves.

Si Yuhuan was rubbing his throbbing temples when he saw her enter, and his mood soured further.

The senior executives had just noticed the scratches on his arm. One of them, the gossipy type, had even guessed aloud if his wife had disciplined him!

A man’s dignity—completely lost! Henpecked! How amusing!

"What are you doing here?" he asked, annoyed.

Seeing her, Yan Qing gave a wry smile and a nod before quickly excusing himself.

"Did you swallow gunpowder or something?" Jian Xi retorted, tossing the tonic the nanny had given her towards him, clearly displeased. "If Grandpa hadn’t asked me to make sure you drink this, I couldn’t be bothered with you."

She had added something extra to the medicine.

Si Yuhuan glowered, his brow furrowed. "I just drank it..."

"Three times a day, not a single dose less. If you don’t drink it, I’ll tell Grandpa. You know his quick temper better than I do..."

"I’ll drink!"

CREAK.

The door opened.

The marketing manager peeked in, nodding and bowing. "So sorry, I left my notebook inside."

He scurried in to retrieve it, then immediately rushed out.

After closing the door, his head was still buzzing.

What had he just heard? Director Si was taking tonics—for *that* sort of thing? And the Madam is so fierce! WOW! Connecting the dots with those scratches, Director Si really *is* henpecked!

Secretary Chen walked by. "Manager Zhang, what are you up to?"

"Watching a henpecked husband!"

PTUI! What on earth did I just say?

Secretary Chen instantly got it.

As a secretary, being an expert gossip was a professional skill. Soon, an unspoken understanding spread throughout the company.

Jian Xi had no idea her formidable reputation was already spreading like wildfire.

Inside the office, Jian Xi watched Si Yuhuan take a sip of the tonic. He looked so disgusted he nearly spat it out, and she couldn’t help but feel a surge of delight.

But then, remembering how Jiang Qimeng had deliberately tried to disgust her, Jian Xi’s expression hardened, and she sighed heavily.

Work was already overwhelming, and with his allergy not fully healed, Si Yuhuan was in a foul mood. Her continuous sighing grated on his nerves. "What’s wrong with you?"

"Nothing," she said, deliberately being evasive.

"If you don’t want to talk, then get out, and don’t disturb my work."

The empty medicine bowl was thrown, landing at Jian Xi’s feet.

Jian Xi clenched her teeth. For the sake of her plan, she would endure.

"I was bullied. At the mall, someone snatched a dress I was buying. They said that if they liked it, they had to have it."

Si Yuhuan shot her a look as if she were an idiot. "Useless."

She was his wife, after all. How dare those people bully her!

Jian Xi, deciding to throw caution to the wind, retorted, "I even told them I’m Si Yuhuan’s wife, but they still wouldn’t back down! What was I supposed to do? Snatch it back by force?"

"Which mall?" he asked indifferently.

Such a trivial matter, and she was sighing heavily over it. The position of Mrs. Si was wasted on her; calling her useless was almost a compliment.

"Ouleite," Jian Xi replied, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

Si Yuhuan glanced at her; her star-like eyes were brimming with the eager expectation of being protected.

He pressed the secretary’s hotline. "Yan Qing, acquire Ouleite. I want the results within ten minutes."

Jian Xi approached him, beaming. "Impressive, domineering, and so cool!"

She meant every word of that praise.

She just wondered if this man, acquiring a mall in a fit of rage for a beauty, would infuriate that other "little white lotus."

It wasn’t long before Yan Qing brought good news.

From now on, Ouleite belonged to Jian Xi.

Si Yuhuan handed her the contract. "Don’t be so useless in the future; otherwise, you won’t deserve the title of Mrs. Si."

So that was his only use!

Jian Xi sneered inwardly. The mall was hers, just like that.
