Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack
Chapter 568 - 548: Joy Lewis

Chapter 568: Chapter 548: Joy Lewis

"The child is teachable. Come on, Uncle will pick an outfit for you." Handsome Uncle said joyfully, draping his arm around Luo Qianqian’s shoulders and pulling her into the store, "I just love cute little ones like you who are sensible."

Luo Qianqian looked back at Luo Yanran, her face clearly saying: So you’re not sensible...

Luo Yanran was choked with annoyance. Why did this little brat seem more and more irritating?

"Handsome Uncle, I want to cosplay Little Red Riding Hood." Luo Qianqian didn’t care what Luo Yanran was thinking and happily followed Handsome Uncle away.

"...Huh?"

"...I told you there wasn’t any." Qin Nuan said immediately after hearing the reaction, pulling Cong Rong’s arm as they wandered around the store.

Elvis was speechless. Couldn’t they act a bit more normal? Instead of cosplaying vampires or witches, cosplaying Little Red Riding Hood.

Xi Ming was just looking at a wedding dress with a rather unique design, "Isn’t this from a cartoon? I think I’ve seen it before."

Cong Rong came to her senses and nodded, "Yes, I’ve seen it too."

While they were still discussing, Luo Qianqian had already come out, dressed in a red hooded cloak, with its ties made into a big bow, and holding a small bamboo basket, if you ignored the pumpkin decoration in Handsome Uncle’s hand.

It was clearly a modified Halloween outfit, right?

"Look, the bag is perfectly hidden." Luo Qianqian lifted the red handkerchief covering the bamboo basket, a face full of smugness, "I feel so cute."

"Should I cosplay the Little Green Hat?" Qin Nuan was utterly bewildered, not really grasping what they were actually there for.

"Should I cosplay Grandmother?" Cong Rong paused for a moment then immediately joined in.

"Am I the Big Bad Wolf?" Xi Ming joined in right away.

"...Am I a stone?" Luo Yanran gave it some thought, seeming to conclude that was all that was left?

"Don’t copy me, I am one of a kind." Luo Qianqian quickly objected, then giggled at Qin Nuan, "Nuannuan, do you want to try being Little Sakura?"

Qin Nuan waved her hands repeatedly.

In the end, everyone opted for the simplest outfits, and at most, they wore tailcoats; completely changing their attire wasn’t suitable for them if they were going out to cause trouble anyway.

"Handsome Uncle, thanks a lot. I’ll treat you to little cupcakes later," Luo Qianqian said cheerfully as she bid farewell to Handsome Uncle before leaving.

Handsome Uncle waved his hand, watching the group leave in a cab, before he finally sighed, "Kids these days..."

"Isn’t that pretty good?" said a person coming out from the changing room nearby. At least three of the departing people knew him—it was none other than Yhan Miyuan’s agent, Sun Zhichao.

"Aren’t you going to manage them? It’s clear that..."

"Would managing them be of any use? Each one is a law unto themselves. Can I even manage them?" Sun Zhichao watched the direction in which the group had departed, his eyes distant yet his tone calm: "The boss doesn’t bother, and I’m just a lowly agent. Why bother so much? Ensuring their safety is my job."

"Really?" Handsome Uncle smiled, "After so many years, you’re still not straightforward, clearly you’re already worried here."

"And you’re straightforward? Quit a great career as a Gold Card stylist to come back and open a photography studio?" Sun Zhichao rolled his eyes, "Joy Lewis!"

Joy Lewis, an internationally renowned Gold Card designer, recipient of numerous awards for best design and styling, is considered a legendary stylist.

"Off you go, I’m now called George." Joy Lewis looked disdainfully at Sun Zhichao, "Don’t you come begging me to work for your dear Little Miyuan. I’m quite happy now and don’t want any restrictions. By the way, was that young girl just now the one you mentioned, Zhou Luo?"

"It used to be her, now it’s that girl who wanted to turn into Little Green Hat just now." Sun Zhichao smiled, "Who would have thought Zhou Luo would become a professional title?"

"No idea what that kid was thinking, a green hat, huh? Really an amusing little one," George tugged at the corner of his mouth, "Speaking of which, I received news that the family has already been in touch with my studio—it seems they are quite confident, aren’t they?"

"By the way, Qianqian... are you going to help with the former Zhou Luo’s styling this Friday?" Sun Zhichao frowned at the clothes in the room, "Your craftsmanship is so rusty it’s painful to watch."

"Who said I made this?" George rolled his eyes, "The original owner of this shop was a homebody who sold it to me and went off to Japan to enjoy otaku culture."

Sun Zhichao grimaced, clearly disdainful.

"Moreover, it’s just a banquet on Friday. Why bother me? Aren’t there other stylists available? It’s not good for a kid to be too eye-catching," George continued, "Wait till her coming-of-age ceremony, I’ll design her styling then."

"Oh, that’s a promise from Joy Lewis, huh? I’ll remember that. It’d be even better if you could add engagements and weddings," he said with a provocative look.

"Get lost." George kicked him, "Hurry up and go. The stuff is already in the young lady’s bag."

Sun Zhichao smiled, thanked him, and then left with a serious expression.

Watching Sun Zhichao depart, George then dropped his smile, "Zhou Luo, huh? I’m actually quite intrigued."

Luo Qianqian looked at her backpack, not forgetting to pull out two Silver Needles and tuck them into her sleeves, a look of exasperation on her face, "Hey, if you guys are in danger, just run, don’t stay behind for me, I can save myself," she said, her eyes turning to Qin Nuan, who was in the same car as Cong Rong, "Definitely don’t stay and hold us back."

Qin Nuan was taken aback, then nodded in agreement.

Though she talked about holding back, could Luo Qianqian really escape danger alone? Moreover, it was clear that the target was Luo Qianqian.

Upon reaching the entrance of the complex, Luo Qianqian saw a familiar car parked at the door and raised an eyebrow, "Second Brother Qin is here." Qin Nuan didn’t share a car with Luo Yanran; instead, the men and women were seated separately.

"Qianqian, Nuannuan." Qin Wen got out of the car after seeing the two get out of the taxi, and just nodded through the car window at Luo Yanran.

"Second Brother, do I look cool?" Qin Nuan, wearing a large witch’s hat and a cloak patterned with maple leaves, and holding a broom, asked.

"Cool." Qin Wen smiled and looked at the oddly dressed Luo Qianqian. Everyone else was in Western-style costumes, so why had Luo Qianqian turned it into a fairy tale?

"Is this Little Red Riding Hood?" Qin Wen asked.

"Hmm... alternatively, it could also be The Little Match Girl," Luo Qianqian replied calmly with a smile, pulling Qin Wen aside, "Later, don’t come in, Second Brother Qin. Wait outside, and if half an hour passes and we haven’t come out or contacted you, call the police."

Qin Wen was startled, was there really a possibility of needing to call the police? He was just about to advise them not to take risks when he heard Luo Qianqian continue, "Even if they don’t go, I still have to. I don’t want anyone to get into danger because of me, and besides, this could well be a spice in an otherwise peaceful life."
