Chapter 547: Chapter 527: Confusing (Part 9)
After sending the message, Qianqian didn’t forget to send a ’safe arrival’ text message to Qin Wen and Luo Yanran in the dorm.
When Ye Qianying received the message, she almost jumped up and immediately called Jia Ning to discuss the design. Luo Qianqian and Qin Nuan’s dresses were both solely handled by Jia Ning, so discussing with her was the safest choice to ensure they wouldn’t be much different.
After hanging up the phone, she then returned the message to Luo Qianqian. Thinking that Luo Qianqian was in the dorm, she didn’t call and only messaged her that the work on the dress had already started and that it would be ready by the time she arrived.
Luo Qianqian replied to the message and immediately forwarded it to Qin Nuan, who then sent it to Cong Rong. Upon receiving the message in bed, Cong Rong immediately covered her face.
Although she was going under the guise of being Luo Qianqian’s friend, it was obvious what the occasion was—clearly, it was a meeting with the parents.
And she and Luo Yanwu hadn’t even made their relationship official yet...
Thinking of this, she peeked her head out from the covers and hastily messaged Qin Nuan again, asking what she should be cautious about.
However, by then, Luo Qianqian had already closed her eyes. It seemed she still had a lot on her plate, didn’t she?
Calculating that it was about time, she cheekily messaged Luo Yanran: Fourth Brother, do I taste good to you?
Luo Yanran, who was drinking with Qin Wen, choked on his drink upon seeing Luo Qianqian’s message and started coughing violently.
Qin Wen leaned over to take a look, a smile quickly spreading across his stern face.
"Why is my sister so unique? Thinks she’s dealing with vampires?" Luo Yanran grumbled a bit resentfully.
Qin Wen just smiled, "Having a lively sister is good. Nuannuan is really not cute at all when she grows up."
"How can that be..." Luo Yanran immediately retorted.
Qin Wen gave him a cold look. Could a lover’s and a brother’s perspectives be the same? But soon a smile appeared on his face again, and soon Luo Yanran would understand that feeling, especially as Luo Qianqian was also growing up.
"Speaking of Qianqian..." Luo Yanran instinctively changed the subject, knowing that it’s better not to offend his girlfriend’s brother.
"Qianqian, she seems to always have some mysterious people appearing around her." Qin Wen frowned slightly, "I can’t understand how her social circle gets everywhere?"
Luo Yanran averted his eyes; he wanted to know too, right? Not to mention how Ye Liang and his group suddenly came into the picture, or how they got involved with the Wei Family; it now seemed there were also people secretly watching from behind.
Luo Qianqian sneezed, a look of confusion on her face. Why wasn’t Luo Yanran replying? Could he be asleep again? Are you a pig? You’ve been sleeping all day.
There really was a misunderstanding; Luo Yanran had been woken up by calls from Jia Ning in the afternoon, and after picking it up, he had to go see Qin Wen and hadn’t slept as much as Luo Qianqian had.
But he wasn’t sleeping now, he’d simply forgotten to reply.
After a long while, Luo Qianqian, holding her phone, fell asleep. Qin Wen and Luo Yanran slowly walked out of the bar and returned to the inn.
Just as they returned to the room, not even ten minutes passed before Hu Si came downstairs, a serious look on his face.
"What’s wrong?" Seeing Hu Si’s expression, Qin Wen immediately tensed up.
Hu Si furrowed his brow deeply, "There’s no side effect, but..."
"But what?" Luo Yanran was also very tense.
"But this substance can cause the juice of a certain flower to fade." The words Hu Si spoke seemed ordinary yet managed to make Qin Wen frown heavily, "Does that mean, Qianqian wasn’t mistaken? This substance not only caused her to faint but also successfully made the written content disappear?"
Luo Yanran covered his mouth, his face a picture of disbelief. What was all this effort for?
"Is your ex that idle with nothing better to do?" He shook his head incredulously again and said, "No, I have a bad feeling about this."
"An actor’s sixth sense?" Qin Wen raised an eyebrow at Luo Yanran, but he also had a bad feeling, not a sixth sense, just an intuitive suspicion.
It oddly made the two of them think alike, both frowning deeply.
After a while, Luo Yanran finally spoke, "Qianqian used to... cause quite a bit of trouble before..."
Like that Wang Wei who dropped out in middle school...
"Kids, you know." Although Qin Wen said that, his eyes remained serious.
The next morning, before Luo Qianqian had even gotten out of bed, Qin Nuan received a message from Qin Wen, asking her to keep an eye on Luo Qianqian, feeling something might happen.
He also explained to Qin Nuan the reason behind the disappearance of the text in the letter.
After reading it, Qin Nuan instinctively looked up at the bunk above, of course only seeing the bed board.
Cong Rong also got up early and, seeing Qin Nuan’s expression, frowned slightly and threw her a glance: What’s wrong?
After texting Cong Rong for a bit, Qin Nuan then got out of bed and woke Luo Qianqian, who still had classes and couldn’t keep sleeping.
As Luo Qianqian lazily got up and saw Qin Nuan’s stern face, she was startled, then ducked back under the covers, "Did my Fourth Brother upset you?"
Qin Nuan rolled her eyes, what was she even talking about?
Only after showing her the messages, did Luo Qianqian breathe a sigh of relief, "You scared me."
For her, the scariest thing now would be if comrade Luo Yanran forgot to prepare a birthday gift and a Qixi Festival gift, or only prepared one of them.
"Be more careful, Haiyan." Qin Nuan said angrily, punching Luo Qianqian. How could she still look so relaxed at a time like this?
"What does Haiyan have to do with anything?" Cong Rong, who had already finished packing up, was also puzzled by Qin Nuan’s words.
"... Uh." Qin Nuan looked at Luo Qianqian, temporarily at a loss for words; how could she explain this? She and Luo Qianqian just couldn’t connect on that point.
"It’s just... Haiyan." Qin Nuan didn’t know how else to explain.
"It’s from Gorky’s ’Song of the Stormy Petrel,’ ’Above the vast ocean, the tempest gathers clouds as black as ink. Between these clouds and the sea, the stormy petrel flies like a black bolt of lightning, soaring with pride’ that one. Nuannuan just remembered it," Luo Qianqian blinked, turning on her serious nonsense mode, though she wasn’t wrong.
"Ah, I know that, but shouldn’t we usually see seagulls by the sea?" Cong Rong nodded, indicating she understood what they were talking about.
Luo Qianqian was at a loss for words; Cong Rong was right, what was Nuannuan doing bringing this up? She helplessly looked at Qin Nuan.
Qin Nuan calmly looked at Cong Rong, "Prophet of the storm."
Cong Rong’s face showed realization, and she didn’t ask further.
Yet Luo Qianqian was utterly confused, what were these two talking about? Why couldn’t she understand?
Seeing Luo Qianqian’s expression, Qin Nuan blinked, "The word ’haiyan’ means ’prophet of the storm’ in Russian."
Luo Qianqian’s eyes widened; so Qin Nuan explained a term and Cong Rong understood?
How were their brainwaves intersecting?
