Chapter 540: I love you
```
’Luo Qianqian, long time no see.’
Long time no see? That means we have met before.
"Qianqian, hurry up and get up, or I’ll eat all your little meat pies and your favorite spicy chicken wings," Qin Nuan chattered in Luo Qianqian’s ear, but Luo Qianqian could definitely smell the aroma of the chicken wings. Her nose twitched, and then she swallowed saliva, slowly opened her eyes, and the first words she uttered were, "Where are the chicken wings?"
Cong Rong could not help but laugh and cry, "You really have a way." Looking at the delicious food placed in front of the hospital bed, she had initially disapproved, but seeing Luo Qianqian’s reaction, she gave in helplessly.
Qin Nuan smiled triumphantly, "See, you have to lure a sleeping pig with food."
Cong Rong was speechless on the side. She saw Luo Qianqian blinking in confusion and slowly began to speak, "How do you feel? Is there any discomfort?"
Luo Qianqian shook her head, looked at the darkening sky, and was somewhat astonished, "No way, did I sleep the whole day?"
Qin Nuan nodded, "Does your body feel all right?"
Luo Qianqian sat up and moved her body a bit, then slowly shook her head, and then looked at her own hands, which were empty.
"Looking for the letter? It was taken as evidence," Qin Nuan sighed, "But they probably won’t find anything."
"Yeah, probably not," Luo Qianqian understood the implication in Qin Nuan’s words, smiled and said, "I guess it’s that an old friend of mine is about to make an appearance."
"Why do you say that?" Qin Nuan asked, surprised, and raised her eyebrows. She carefully wiped Luo Qianqian’s hands with a wet towel before handing her a bag of food to eat.
"I remember a sentence on the envelope: ’Luo Qianqian, long time no see,’" Luo Qianqian’s eyes held an unclear expression, then she bitterly smiled, "Although there’s no malice now, I have a feeling that the visitor means no good."
"So you’re saying, it wasn’t... her doing?" Qin Nuan sighed in relief. Luo Qianqian had fainted, and during that time, Xiu Ran and Zhang Yun had both appeared at the staircase, both showing faces of concern and fear. She didn’t want to believe that their expressions were just a pretense.
"It probably wasn’t." But she had no certainty in determining who this ’old friend’ really was.
A figure outside the door heard this conversation, swiftly passed by, and left without alerting anyone in the infirmary.
Fang Rou was sitting in a café, stirring the drink in front of her, lazily looking at the person opposite her, "Didn’t you say we should act like we don’t know each other at school?"
"How is she?" The person only glanced at her and didn’t respond to her question. He was dressed in an oversized hoodie with a hat on top, and even wore a baseball cap underneath. He also had on sunglasses, so heavily disguised that one couldn’t make out who it was.
It was already dark outside, and he was dressed in such a way that it was clear he didn’t want to be recognized by anyone.
"She’s fine, really fine, it didn’t affect her body at all," Fang Rou said, not realizing how many times she had repeated this throughout the day.
"Later, have them take action to deal with the ’bomb’ inside her body early," the man said, looking at his crossed hands on the table, "You’ve been getting quite close with Tu Xingyao?"
Fang Rou started, then nodded openly without any intention to hide anything.
The man showed no emotion, which made Fang Rou somewhat nervous, "What? Is there a problem with him?"
"The Tu family is very loyal." It took a while for the man to speak, he sighed, "He’s good. If you like him, continue, don’t have any worries."
Fang Rou finally breathed a sigh of relief.
```
"You should head back first, and email me if anything comes up," the person said as they saw the cafe door open and a figure walked in.
Fang Rou nodded, not lingering for a moment longer before turning and leaving—this person was always like that.
It was only after Fang Rou left that the person stood up, taking a seat opposite the newcomer: "Awake yet?"
The person across wore sunglasses and a baseball cap, nodding indifferently before speaking, "She mentioned there were characters on the envelope, but I’ve looked at it, and it’s completely clean, nothing on it."
Twisting the thumb ring on their hand, the person nodded after a moment: "I understand."
After they sat in silence for a while, they left the coffee shop one after the other.
Having finished eating, Luo Qianqian got out of bed, full of energy, washed her hands, and prepared to go back to her dorm... to continue sleeping when Fang Rou came back just in time, handing Luo Qianqian a long needle. It was even more delicate and translucent than the one Qin Liang had given her, nearly transparent, but seemingly resilient.
"This is a Crystal Needle. It darkens upon contact with poison—the stronger the poison, the deeper the color. It reacts to both powder and gas upon touch. Normally, it needs to be cleaned with alcohol and stored in a sterile environment. When using it, clean it with alcohol before use," said Fang Rou with an indifferent face.
Luo Qianqian took it right away, her lips curving into a slight smile as she quietly said thanks, then pulled Qin Nuan away with Cong Rong.
Fang Rou hadn’t expected Luo Qianqian to accept it so easily. Qin Nuan was also confused, "Why did you accept it just like that?"
"I already owe her enough as it is, and it’s indeed very useful for me," Luo Qianqian laughed, remembering how she had been pricking with the Silver Needle all this time, meeting various things without any change in color, which also puzzled her.
"That’s true," Qin Nuan paused, realizing that every time there was an incident, they always went straight to the infirmary, hence she had come to trust Fang Rou regarding Luo Qianqian’s symptoms.
Cong Rong frowned, "Although I don’t know what happened, I feel this person is quite mysterious."
Luo Qianqian nodded, "Not just mysterious, very mysterious. There’s definitely someone even more impressive behind her, but what is certain is that she harbors no ill will toward me."
"It feels like you’re just playing around, fainting when you say faint, falling when you say fall. If such magical things really happened, shouldn’t you go buy a lottery ticket?" Qin Nuan said half-jokingly.
Then she watched as Luo Qianqian lit up, "Right, right, let’s go buy a lottery ticket." Then with a pained expression under Qin Nuan’s wide-eyed gaze, "Why don’t I know the winning numbers?"
Relieved, Qin Nuan rolled her eyes, "Winning numbers, indeed. If you knew them, wouldn’t everyone else know too? Wouldn’t that bankrupt the lottery booth?"
Cong Rong laughed lightly, "I know the winning numbers from the last drawing, are they of any use?"
All three of them laughed together, with Luo Qianqian feeling a wave of relief.
Then they saw Xi Ming approaching with fruits in hand and Luo Qianqian waved, "Hey."
Watching Luo Qianqian laughing and talking with the two others as she approached, Xi Ming also breathed a sigh of relief, "How are you now?"
Luo Qianqian hopped on the spot twice, "I’m fine. How did it go at the police station?"
Through Qin Nuan and Cong Rong, Luo Qianqian also learned about Elvis reporting to the police, displaying a face full of concern and apology.
Xi Ming shook his head, "What could have happened to me? They just didn’t find out anything. And why would someone send you a letter on a blank piece of paper?"
"Nothing on it?" the three exclaimed in unison.
