[You Have Acquired a New Ability: Nuclear Fire Manipulation]

The golden light around Igaris erupted into a storm.

The wind howled and the sky cracked. A pulse of power, vast and searing, spread across the land, rippling through the crust of the battlefield like an earthquake. Craters opened under his feet. Stone melted into magma.

Helios’ divine flame, once worshiped by civilizations, was now absorbed into a new vessel — one forged not by heaven, but by rebellion.

Helios’ eyes widened as the last traces of divinity were drained from his avatar. His flesh collapsed into powder. His golden bones, now brittle, clattered to the ground like the shattered shell of a fallen idol.

"You will not get away with this, Igaris Vance. I will be back," Helios last words.

Igaris stood amidst the storm, his chest heaving slowly. Nuclear fire swirled across his arms and shoulders, glowing with unnatural heat. The power was volatile, near uncontrollable — yet it obeyed him like a beast on a leash.

He glanced at his palm. A thin ember flickered there, pulsating with layered energy.

Nuclear Fire...

He closed his fingers slowly, and the flame disappeared.

Even now, his body surged with terrifying power. His heartbeat felt like the echo of mountains crumbling. His aura no longer whispered — it roared.

The Apex Rank had marked him as one of the highest beings beneath the divine class. Only 6 steps remained before he would touch the level of Saints acknowledged in the God Realm.

And this was only from a fragment.

Just a sliver of Helios’ soul had elevated him this far.

"What would happen... if my world devoured a Divine Core?" Igaris thought, eyes flashing.

The idea surged through his mind like lightning. Consuming a true Divinity’s core could propel him far beyond the Apex Stage. Perhaps even shatter the limits of mortality. Perhaps... even challenge the seat of those Seven who dared to call themselves absolute.

His fingers twitched in excitement.

His soul vibrated with hunger.

But the elation lasted only a moment before he closed his eyes and took a long breath.

No. Not yet.

The thrill of new power was intoxicating, yes, but the battlefield reminded him of reality. This was only the beginning. The real gods — the ones who still sat on thrones in the higher realms — would be alerted soon. Consuming Helios’ avatar might have been loud enough to echo across dimensions.

He wasn’t ready for that war.

Not yet.

He calmed his breathing, suppressing the ambition that threatened to break free from his flesh.

The divine fire dancing around his body vanished into his core. The world slowly began to stabilize, though tremors still shook the earth.

"I’ll wait," he whispered, his eyes fixed on the heavens above. "But not for long."

Behind Igaris, the two hundred thousand angels now under his control stood silently, their heads bowed. Each of them had once radiated divine pride, but now they awaited his command, subdued and obedient. The Federation soldiers nearby could only stare in awe, uncertain whether to worship or fear the man who now stood at the center of a god’s corpse.

But it did not take long for the heavy silence to shift.

A wave of roaring celebration surged through the air. The cries of victory rang across the field like thunder. Cheers erupted from the Federation ranks, sweeping across the soldiers like wildfire. Laughter, tears, songs, and shouts filled the broken land.

The Summoners had surrendered. The divine army had been tamed. A god had been slain.

And now, for the first time in decades, peace loomed over Ashvale like a rising sun.

Yet not all minds were swept up in joy. In the backlines, political voices began to whisper. Leaders of cities, generals of distant outposts, and noble heads of ancient families now pondered a new question.

Where would the Summoners be resettled?

Their lands were already stretched thin. No one wanted to offer up territory. But could they refuse, if the Supreme General himself ordered it?

Defying a man who slew a god with his own hands seemed unthinkable. And so, amidst the celebrations, schemes quietly began to brew.

Meanwhile, in the heart of the battlefield, Calypso Evernight stood still, her purple eyes glazed with tears.

Her lips trembled. Her chest rose and fell with silent gasps.

The gods are still alive. Her war was not yet over. But today, one of her father’s greatest wishes had come true.

Peace and Harmony is about to be restored in Ashvale.

And it was all because of one man.

Igaris Vance.

His dark hair fluttered gently in the wind. His cold, battle-hardened eyes now held a tenderness she had never seen before, locked entirely on her. There was no mask, no cold resolve. Only a warmth that reached into her soul.

For the first time in her long life, something bloomed inside her heart.

A warmth.

A strange, delicate ache that made her breath catch.

Her heartbeat quickened. Her legs trembled.

She had never known this feeling.

Was this love?

"Have I finally fallen?" she whispered to herself.

The answer resounded in her mind, clear and undeniable.

Yes.

This was love.

And in that moment, all her doubts, all her fears vanished.

She needed no more words. Her body moved on its own, as if driven by destiny.

A blur of purple streaked through the battlefield.

Before anyone could react, Calypso threw herself into Igaris’s arms and wrapped him tightly in her embrace. She pressed her cheek against his chest, as if to imprint the rhythm of his heartbeat into her soul, never wanting to let go.

Tears streamed down her face.

"I have finally understood," she whispered, her voice quivering with emotion. "Please forgive me for my ignorance. I was blind to what truly mattered. But now I see clearly. I cannot live without you. I want to walk beside you, hold your hand, and feel your warmth. I want to be yours. Forever."

Igaris’s eyes softened. A smile curled on his lips as he slowly wrapped his arms around her, pulling her even closer.

He inhaled her scent, calming and intoxicating like a midnight bloom.

"I was just waiting for you to say that, Calypso," he murmured.

"You will always belong to me. No one will ever take you from my side. Not even the gods."

The battlefield around them roared with celebration, but in that quiet space between two souls, nothing else existed.

Only warmth.

Only love.

Only the beginning of eternity.
