Chapter 257: Chapter 257: You’re Still the Good One

Lily Turner’s avoidance didn’t come as a surprise to Easton Holmes, but it did leave him puzzled. What confused him even more was still to come.

"Isn’t this your home?" Callix Linton looked up at Easton Holmes with annoyance etched all over his face, expressing his dissatisfaction, "You just came in and you want to take the girl away, what’s wrong? Is this house not big enough for you both, or what?"

Easton Holmes sighed and said, "You two have fun, I’m going to find something to eat."

He could tell that his grandson was quite attached to this girl.

Lily Turner quietly muttered to herself, got up, and walked out of the living room. As she stepped out of the living room, she immediately saw Easton Holmes standing not far away, seemingly waiting for her to come out.

At the critical moment, he was still concerned about his grandson. Wasn’t he supposed to teach him a lesson? There was no hint of that.

Although Callix Linton had already anticipated this outcome, hearing Easton Holmes say it out loud still brought him undisguised joy, "Brat! That’s more like it."

Lily Turner chuckled, "Grandpa! Don’t praise me too much, or I’ll become conceited."

How can this old man be so adorable?

Now that the young couple had decided to stay, Callix Linton was no longer worried about anything. He decided to leave Lily Turner to Easton Holmes, so the two could have some alone time together without him meddling.

"I’ll stay."

"Grandpa! I..."

"Praise is deserved if you’re good, otherwise there’s no need to..." Callix Linton lifted his head and snorted in the direction of Easton Holmes, who stood not far from them: "Hmph!"

The show that day had been arranged earlier, and she couldn’t back out.

"Sigh!"

Lily Turner wanted to laugh out loud, but seeing the man who had upset her standing nearby, she suppressed her urge to laugh.

"Girl! That brat seems not to have eaten yet, go warm some food for him."

Before Easton could even finish speaking, Lily Turner intentionally interrupted him. As she spoke, she got up and sat next to Callix Linton, "Grandpa! Don’t be angry, I’ve been fine these days, I’ll stay and keep you company."

There were servants at home, yet she was specifically asked to reheat the food for him. Something was fishy, definitely fishy.

Easton Holmes looked at Callix Linton, then at Lily Turner, and after glancing back and forth between them a couple of times, he finally fixed his gaze on her, "Since my wife agreed to stay here, I guess I’ll have to as well."

After finishing filming some days ago, she had told Freya Yeager that she needed a break and asked her not to schedule anything else for her.

The old and the young were quite a team, playing off each other with perfect understanding.

Could it be that she got ’played’ by this grandfather-grandson duo? )

His eyes were on her, but he was speaking to the grandfather sitting beside her.

Even if nothing unpleasant had happened, he still hoped the young couple would stay here.

"You’re much more agreeable than that brat," Callix Linton thought about how to keep the young couple here, and he didn’t expect Lily Turner to willingly ask to stay. Now that she wanted to stay, he wasn’t worried about his grandson leaving either.

Apparently, as long as he could please the girl, he wouldn’t have to worry about not seeing his grandson anymore.

He glanced at the woman who wouldn’t even look at him directly and turned to leave the living room.

Lily Turner sighed at the floor and walked towards Easton Holmes, who was waiting for her in the distance.
