Chapter 256: Chapter 256: Should We Teach Him a Lesson?
Due to Callix Linton’s unexpected appearance, Lily Turner and Alice Turner ended their call. Seeing her hang up, he walked over with an apologetic expression: "I’m sorry! Did I disturb your call?"
He didn’t do it on purpose; it was just a coincidence.
He wasn’t puzzled by his grandpa’s visit but curious why he went there.
"Girl! He’s only coming to find you so late, should we teach him a lesson?" Seeing Easton approaching, Callix was in a playful mood.
This girl! So disloyal!
"If you have something to discuss, go ahead, I..."
Unaware, he thought Lily was unwilling to join him in teaching Easton a lesson, thus quickly hiding inside.
"Let’s go home!"
Once inside, he escorted his grandpa straight to the living room, where he indeed spotted the woman deliberately avoiding him.
As for teaching him a lesson, she chose an eye for an eye approach. If he ignored her for two days, she would return it double.
Two days from him, then four from her, no! Eight days!
"No, it was my sister on the call." Lily informed truthfully.
"Of course, you can visit anytime." Easton glanced at Callix, having already made a judgment in his heart, choosing not to pursue further, he led Callix into the house.
Lily knew Callix was a playful old fellow, yet she was still dazzled by shock hearing this.
Could grandpa possibly know about what happened yesterday morning?
Easton called out to his grandpa as he walked over, attempting to bypass Callix to get into the house. But before he could, Callix reached out and grabbed him.
Without resting a moment, he hurried over, but that girl hid inside upon seeing him.
Callix suddenly stopped speaking and stared at the yard gate. Following his gaze, Lily saw Easton Holmes pushing the gate open from outside and striding towards them.
"What now? I’m not allowed to visit your place?"
After finishing his tasks, Easton left the Military Department without even dining to head home, but upon arrival, he didn’t see Lily. He only found out from Aunt Gui that she left with his grandpa.
His grandpa even obstructed him, what does he want from him?
Easton didn’t sit on the sofa; instead, he settled Callix on it and swiftly approached Lily, reaching to pull her up to leave.
Callix knew Easton didn’t mean that, but he retorted nonchalantly to evade the topic.
"You brat! Rushing to your wife and overlooking your grandpa still standing here?" In his heart, Callix was actually happy, but he still felt a little neglected, like he’d been abandoned by his grandson.
Does she really not want to see him? He hadn’t been back for two days.
Watching her rush into the house, Callix silently murmured to himself.
"Grandpa! I’ll leave it to you. I’m going inside to watch TV." She quickly said and turned to swiftly enter the house.
"Grandpa! Of course, I see you standing here. Let’s go in together." Easton said as he supported Callix towards the house, pausing suddenly at the door and turning towards him, "Grandpa! Did you visit my place today?"
"Grandpa!"
His hand grabbed empty air as she leaned back into the sofa before he could reach her.
