Chapter 216: Chapter 216: He’s Really Stingy
When Easton Holmes spoke, Lily Turner didn’t quite understand, but soon she realized.
"The friend who invited me for porridge is a guy."
Just as Lily finished speaking, she saw Easton suddenly turn his head. She couldn’t quite read the expression on his face. "His name is Grant Heath, just like me, he’s also an actor."
No matter what he really meant, she thought there wouldn’t be any issue with telling the truth.
Why did it feel like she had been caught doing something wrong by him?
"Wow, he’s such a cheapskate!"
Easton said to Lily in a sarcastic tone, then turned back, started the engine, and drove off.
Upon hearing this, Lily quickly retorted, "I was the one who suggested the porridge, he’s not cheap."
As soon as she finished, she felt a chill pass by, causing her to shiver uncontrollably.
Easton seemed not to have heard what Lily said, eyes fixed on the road ahead, looking as if he was focused on driving.
Seeing that the man was unwilling to engage with her, Lily did not try to make conversation. She sat back in her seat properly and picked up her phone to browse the internet.
Due to the unfounded rumors that had surfaced online recently, Lily hadn’t gone online for several days.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to go online, but she was deliberately avoiding information she didn’t want to see.
Hmm? What’s going on?
Lily browsed through many celebrity gossip pages, but found no information about herself. Not only were the recent loud scandals gone, but even earlier information about her was missing.
It was as if she had vanished overnight, which was too unusual.
Lily suspected she hadn’t searched thoroughly, so she carefully checked the pages again, but the result was still the same as she’d seen earlier.
She really had disappeared—disappeared from the internet!
"Stop staring at your phone in a daze, it’s time to get out!"
Easton’s voice suddenly sounded in her ear, jolting Lily out of her thoughts. She realized the car had already stopped.
She tilted her head to look out the window—the porridge shop was there. She quickly put down her phone, brushed back her hair to cover her cheeks, and then opened the door to get out.
Easton also got out from the other side, walked around the front of the car to Lily’s side, naturally reaching out to hold her hand, "Let’s go in."
With that, he led her into the porridge shop.
"Easton! You did it, didn’t you?"
Lily suddenly stopped, turned aside to look at Easton, pointing at him as she spoke.
Easton was puzzled by Lily’s sudden actions and furrowed his brow in confusion, "What did I do?"
He’d done so many things, how was he supposed to know which one she was referring to?
"Did you have someone delete all the information about me online?" Besides him, she couldn’t think of anyone else capable of such a thing. Lily stared at Easton unblinkingly, hoping he would give her a clear answer.
At this moment, Easton realized Lily was referring to the online matters. He neither nodded nor shook his head but ambiguously said, "Aren’t those things annoying to see? And..."
As Easton inadvertently tilted his head, he suddenly noticed a man standing not far away, who was staring at them—more precisely, staring at his wife.
