Easton Holmes’s sudden action had already put Lily Turner in an awkward position, and now Bella Carter was adding to the situation, making her cheeks flush with embarrassment.

With a dumpling stuffed in her mouth, she could only express her dissatisfaction by glaring at the person who fed her.

With that, she picked up her plate of dumplings and walked out of the living room.

Seeing this, Lily Turner quickly stood up to chase after her, but as soon as she lifted her foot, Easton Holmes grabbed her, pulling her back onto the sofa before she could react.

"Why are you pulling me? Bella was offended by you." With a mouth full of dumpling, her words came out a bit garbled, but she managed to get her point across.

"Don’t talk while eating; you might choke." Easton Holmes’s expression showed no hint of humor, his expression serious and his tone earnest.

Lily Turner quickly chewed a few times, swallowed the dumpling in her mouth, and spoke again, "I want to say to you, um..."

Once again, as Lily Turner started to speak, Easton Holmes stuffed another dumpling in her mouth. Before she could lose her temper, he sat up straight and focused on eating the dumplings in his bowl.

Lily Turner angrily glanced at the pretentious man, then scooted over to sit further away, to prevent him from suddenly feeding her another dumpling.

It wasn’t that she was being fussy; she had already eaten quite a few dumplings before. If it wasn’t at someone else’s house, she wouldn’t have been able to eat even ten dumplings, and she didn’t want to eat anymore.

Easton Holmes immediately noticed Lily Turner’s actions, but he didn’t move toward her.

Steadfastly sitting in his spot, he continued to focus on eating the dumplings in his bowl, but that didn’t mean he would ignore her.

He watched her out of the corner of his eye, observing her every move.

"Easton Holmes! Those dumplings are the ones Bella left for the captain." As soon as Lily Turner finished swallowing the dumpling, she turned to Easton Holmes, who was sitting not far away, enjoying his meal. She couldn’t help but remind him.

Even though Bella Carter didn’t explicitly say so earlier, Lily Turner could tell that the dumplings in the thermos were meant for Jaxon Dyer.

Hearing this, Easton Holmes turned to look at Lily Turner, but he didn’t say a word and continued eating his dumplings.

Seeing him continue eating without a word, Lily Turner shook her head helplessly and said nothing more, knowing that anything she said would be futile against the dumpling-eating man who wouldn’t pay her any attention.

Both of them stopped talking, and the living room suddenly became quiet, but the silence didn’t feel awkward or uncomfortable.

One person concentrated on eating the dumplings in his bowl, while the other sat quietly by his side, creating a particularly harmonious scene.

As he walked, he grumbled dissatisfiedly to himself, "This guy is so unfair, luring me to the canteen while he comes to my house to eat dumplings."
