Easton Holmes didn’t expect Lily Turner to answer him like that. Unexpected as it was, it didn’t affect his judgment.

From her short sentence, he gathered a lot of information.

"I’ll help you unload this pressure."

He gave her a deep, meaningful look, then focused on driving, no longer asking her any questions or speaking to her at all.

Seeing the man driving with an attitude of not wanting to engage with her again, Lily Turner didn’t make any attempt to speak either. She glanced at him and turned her body to face the car window.

The scenery along the way was beautiful, but she wasn’t in the mood to admire it.

Her eyes stared vacantly at the gorgeous view flashing past outside the window, her mind in disarray.

Lily Turner sighed unconsciously, and upon hearing her sigh, Easton Holmes instinctively glanced at her.

Seeing her sitting with her back to him, facing the window, she seemed unaware that he was looking at her.

He quietly withdrew his gaze without interrupting her thoughts.

Immersed in her thoughts, Lily Turner was completely oblivious to all this, so much so that she didn’t even notice when the car stopped.

"Lily! We should get out now."

Hearing Easton Holmes call her snapped Lily Turner back to reality, and it was only then she realized the car had come to a stop.

Sitting up and looking outside, she saw the car was parked in a spot in front of a restaurant.

She had been dragged out by Easton Holmes earlier, without a chance to arm herself. The sunglasses she usually wore were still in her bag, and she hadn’t managed to bring her bag when they left.

"You go ahead and eat; I’ll wait in the car."

She couldn’t go out like this, and what’s more, she wasn’t in the mood to eat.

"Let’s go eat together."

Easton Holmes didn’t wait for any response from Lily Turner. He opened the car door, got out, walked around the front to the passenger side, opened the door, and bent down to pull her out of the car.

"I’m not hungry, I don’t want to eat now." Instinctively, Lily Turner struggled, trying to free herself from Easton Holmes’ grasp, but the more she struggled, the tighter he held on, "Easton Holmes! I..."

"I’m so hungry my stomach is touching my back. Please be kind and accompany me inside to eat something." Easton Holmes had worked all morning, and whatever he had eaten earlier was long gone. He had hoped to finally sate his hunger with the beef noodles he bought, but things happened that ruined those plans.

Hearing Easton Holmes say he was so hungry his stomach was touching his back, Lily Turner’s heart suddenly softened, and her struggling hands stopped moving. She let him lead her into the restaurant.

Noticing her lack of resistance, he couldn’t help but smile, and his steps became more lively, his previously stifled mood lightening instantly.

Once inside the restaurant, Lily Turner made a big discovery. Easton Holmes seemed to navigate the place as if it were his own home. He led her directly to a private room on the second floor without needing a waiter to guide them.

As he opened the door to the private room, he told the waiter following behind, "Everything else the same as usual! And add two vegetarian dishes!"
