Chapter 179: Chapter 179: You Think I’m That Easy to Devour

Lily Turner left the living room and went straight back to her room on the second floor. She had no idea when Evelyn Taylor had left. It wasn’t until almost noon that she left her room and went downstairs. By then, the woman she didn’t want to see was already gone.

The TV in the living room was still on, and she followed the sound towards the living room.

Ding dong!

Upon hearing the doorbell, Lily instinctively paused and, after a brief moment of hesitation, turned and walked towards the door.

Because of what had happened before, she didn’t open the door immediately when she reached it. Instead, she leaned against the peephole to see who it was.

The moment she looked outside through the peephole, a tall and familiar figure came into view. She immediately opened the door.

"Back so early?" She blurted out as she went downstairs it was just after eleven, and now it could only be a few minutes past eleven.

Easton Holmes took a step towards Lily and looked down at her, "From the way you’re talking, it seems you didn’t want me to come back?"

"This is your home, you can come back whenever you like. What right do I have to interfere?" Just then, Lily suddenly remembered what Evelyn had said to her, glanced at Easton, and turned to walk inside, leaving him with a silent back view.

What’s wrong with this girl?

Everything seemed fine when he left this morning, now she seemed so full of resentment.

Seeing the figure turning to walk inside, Easton immediately sensed that something was wrong. He closed the door and quickly followed Lily.

"Lily! Did someone come here this morning?"

He only took a few steps before catching up to her, and as he did, he was already considering the cause of her abnormal behavior.

Once he reached her side, he already had a guess.

"How did you..."

Hearing Easton’s words, Lily instinctively turned to look at him, her face full of disbelief. But she stopped herself after speaking just three words, realizing she shouldn’t continue.

Lily’s abrupt silence was a little too late. Easton had already grasped the truth from the three words she’d spoken.

"Evelyn Taylor came over!" His tone was definitive, leaving no room for argument or doubt.

Lily neither confirmed nor denied it. She glanced at Easton, then turned back quietly and continued walking inside.

"That girl has been spoiled by her family, she’s been very willful since she was little, she’s..."

"What kind of person she is has nothing to do with me."

Easton’s words were brusquely cut off by Lily, and without so much as a backward glance, she hurriedly walked into the living room.

So much anger!

Seeing Lily looking so furious, Easton had a bad feeling. Ignoring everything else, he followed her into the living room in quick strides.

When he went in, she had already sat down on the sofa. He walked over and sat down next to her.

Lily instinctively wanted to scoot to the side, but before she could move, Easton grabbed her, "I won’t bite you."

"You think I’m that easy to bite," Lily retorted defiantly.

"Not easy at all, I can guarantee that," Easton said, raising his hand as if to swear.

Seeing this, Lily suddenly realized what she had just said, and her cheeks flushed red. She turned her head to look away, avoiding Easton’s somewhat scorching gaze.

"I want to move out of here." Even though reporters wouldn’t disturb them here, it wasn’t exactly peaceful either.
